We spent 4 week on Mastrinka , over the bridge from Trogir on the Island of Ciovo. Fabulous place with great beaches and bars … not so touristy! Highly recommend!
I am in croatia a month this year. So will definitely give this place a visit
Such a nice looking place...I had Split on my radar, but Trogir is up there now, thanks again.
We really enjoyed the area in and around Split. We are looking at going back in a couple of years to explore more of the islands. It truly is a beautiful country. 🍻

Helpful, thanks! I *had* been planning on at least two days for Split - maybe instead, stay in Trogir, and ferry over to Split for the day's sightseeing ... hmmm
Trogir will be less expensive, but Split will be easier to get to Hvar and other places on the islands. You really can't go wrong if you only have a week or so. It is a beautiful country!! Thank you for watching and safe travels!!

Brian and Carrie, thx for the info!! we are in Trogir today enjoying this charming town.. I would like to recommend a restaurant called Queen Teuta, located in a small alley. Not sure how we got here... their fish lunch special is so Good!!

I love your videos, they’re so insightful and you’re one of my favourite travel vloggers. This is another great one. I loved Trogir too. The view of the waterfront from the top of the castle tower is pretty neat, by the way, and worth the admission. Just one thing about this video - your pronunciation is usually so on point that I’m surprised you said Trogir with a soft g - it’s actually pronounced with a hard g like Trogg-ear

Trying to catch up on your last few videos. Just back from a 3 wk trip to Lisbon, Madeira and Porto. Looks nice and the weather must be pleasant as people are in shorts., and a place to visit when rest of Europe is colder.
Hay, CM!! Porto is our favorite bigger city up to this point. We have Madeira on our list sometime in the very near future. We shot that video in late Oct. so yes, the nice weather hangs around a bit longer! Welcome back and happy holidays!!

@@BrianandCarrie - Heard that Croatia is joining Schengen on Jan 1-23. So if your current stay is an escape from 90 day Schengen clock may want to check your Schengen stay calendar. I am sure you are already aware of it and the locals must be celebrating the affiliation. Bad for tourists who play the Schengen calendar using different countries as options are getting lesser. Yes Porto was nicer than Lisbon and of course Madeira was very desirable but being off land travel in within Europe as a home base gets cumbersome.

Hi, Sergio. We really enjoyed both, however, we were able to move around more in Spain so we had a better experience. The high-speed trains and the local tram systems make it really easy. We want to go back to Croatia and make our way to Zagreb and explore more of the islands. We would say that the beaches in Spain are better than in Croatia if that is something that matters to you. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either. Thank you for watching and safe travels.

First, I have to say that we love your videos and watch them on the big screen during Happy Hour. The camera loves you both and your huge personalities. Your scripts (or off the cuff -- either way) are natural and get right to the heart of the matter (compared to others with way too much fluff.) So what we'd like to know is ... how do you do it? How do two people not kill each other? Constant upheaval, nothing stays the same, the stress of being on the go and how do you not get sick of each other? This might be best saved for Dr. Phil, but every travelling couple has certain issues, and we are concerned we'd not weather it all as well as the two of you. We have 26 years together but still.... being on the road has got to have challenges. Dealing with those unseen issues has got to be difficult. Either that -- or the two of you are so perfect for each other -- in ways we could only hope to be. Keep on creating!

I’m torn between staying in Split or Trogir. I’ll be coming from a two night stay in Hvar. How do you arrange a ferry from the Split ferry to Trogir? I was informed you can only travel to Trogir by bus?
Bus or ferry. We took the ferry and it was easy. You pay for the ticket as you get on.
@@BrianandCarrie Thank You. I am really torn lol. Do you think two nights stay is too short in Hvar Island? I wanted to visit the Lavender fields, Stari Grad and the island hopping w/blue cave tours. I will be traveling to Hvar Island from Dubrovnik.
I’m over 70 and prefer Trogir. Split is wonderful but also a party town.
@@ljacobs357 I stayed two nights in Split and did a day trip to Trogir. Although it was a bit crowded during my time there, Trogir It quaint and quiet. I enjoyed it
