      Yes.. that's why I take books to the daycares. People be saying why you take books to the daycares they can't read yet. Well I see the future... what if they have the books and someone in the daycares show them about the books. It don't take much to reach out children. A little bit at a time and we got wealthy and healthy children. What if a barbershop barber came to teach the older kids that come from after school programs. What if we help them understand business on level they understand. But the catch is your grades and you must read a book a week. Being around young adults, reading is what hurts our community. My boys get rewards for reading anything outside of what the school assign. Taking out the trash and all that is a household responsibility. I would rather give them allowance for something I know will help them through adulthood. I ride all over Atlanta and buy books at the thrift stores.

    What he said at the end though. I find myself fighting those thoughts of hate and resentment towards the community. In a way I cant believe we have forced so much evil upon the kids of our community. But I understand these people are hurt and without guidance, they see not the destruction they cast upon the community. Part of me feels like not all of us deserve salvation. Let the “woke” ones step aside and watch the unrighteous burn. But the other side of me feels the pain of my people. All we have to do is stand up, but to see so many of my people afraid to do so, is very disheartening...They are content with being second class people... It hurts my soul to see such cowardice from a people that is written about in the Bible and by Greeks... The great works we accomplished, only to be content with nothing... You try to inform them of what could be, yet they love the material things more than they love themselves... You see it, with Kanye and Kyrie, nobody is coming to their side when we all know what they speak is the truth... So then, u understand why LeBron James and Shaq and others didn't speak up for him, because they know, if they did, the Black community would not have their backs... But they will ride or die for YSL and other detrimental characters in our society... We promote whorish behavior and ungodly acts, only to kill one another if someone steps on our shoes... When I was 12 years old, in the early 80s, I was standing on the corner all by myself wondering why there wasn't a park or athletic club anywhere in our neighborhood in North Philly. A cop drove through a said, "get the fuck of the corner & don't be here when I get back". I was thinking, where tf am I supposed to go. Moms said go out & play & nobody else was around. So I just stood there hoping that coward cop would come back, just so I could make him chase me, just to have something to do. We had to walk four miles to Temple University & sneak around just to play basketball. Today I own my own athletic facility in Killeen TX for kids to play all the team sports & learn & practice boxing. I can't imagine how many great athletes, including myself, would've came out of that area of North Philly if we had a place like mine to learn, train, practice & play.

      You guys are sad AF. I don't usually say this because I don't feel anything is unique to black people. But I'm going to break my own rules. We're the only people who see the WORSE in our communities and use that to demonize ourselves. I've never ONCE seen a white person say they hate white people or resent white people because of the dumb shit the minority of white people do. So y'all hate black people because 10 percent of black people are drug dealers and gangbangers?? We're sicker than I thought.

Half my income comes just by breathing. I literally get paid to breath now. I too start to despise my black people because we acting like we dont care about us but we want everybody else to care about us. Man this man has helped me affirm so many things I have been feeling for the past few years about my own mental thinking. It’s crazy the conditioning we undergo as youths and how hard it can be at times to break away from the “status-quo” from our own culture. I thank god I’ve released these things that media outlets have regulated to blackness when these materialistic things and ignorant ideologies don’t define who I am as a black man. I always continue to support this man as long as he continues to push the community to more positive thinking and ways of living.

Its all temporary soon as you need to maintain yourself. They fall back to eating poison because you not there to keep that discipline going. That fight gotta be in them to be more than poisonous people.

    Dude is a mixed bag. He’s got a lot of heart for his community and at the same time says some of the wildest 💩 to make people pay attention to him. It’s moments like these where it’s like you see the real him. A lot of these things definitely need to be said more often and louder. Ultimately, whether you like him or hate him, at the very least he starts important conversations.
    There are a lot of black folks that have hit the point (as we can see in the comments) where they want to throw their hands up and walk away. When you see that we have numerous options to not have the communities we do and WE are still choosing to live insane lives, that 💩 is disheartening.

    The inner hatred and angry towards those who aren't woke is a temporary stage. The next stage is sympathy and compassion. The next stage is understanding ( knowing what you can and can't control) the next stage is isolation (self growth- focusing in)

    • @joseross3364
      @joseross3364 Рік тому +1

      I’m definitely in the isolation stage. I grew up in the projects. Sold everything you could think of. Growing up I always said I would die for my niggas. Around bout 25 I started hating niggas. I was meditating, became vegetarian and reading a lot. Around bout 29 I fell back in love with my people. But it was a different and deeper love. Now at the age of 32 I have a 5 bedroom home. Two cars and good credit. I still love my people, but I’m isolated like a mafucka. It’s just me and a homeboy I call my brother. I don’t think its the stages of being woke (even though i am), I just feel like that’s the natural process of getting older
