Lady Routledge is the very definition of class , her and Joanna Lumley are quite different but they are both phenomenal and i love them both dearly and immensely .

If the script really did give him that little work with, he made Richard into a character everyone could sympathize with and feel very sorry for, the chemistry between him and David Griffin who played Emmet was so good. I use to love this show, I still don't think I've seen all the episodes, I should rewatch the whole thing.
He was. I never did understand, though, why he stayed with her. She was beastly to him, and he was ostensibly intelligent, and certainly undeserving of her attitude toward him.
She was also on the movie, Don't Raise the Bridge, Lower the River, with Jerry Lewis, and was quite young and funny as well. An extremely talented actress and a British gift to the world along with other equally talented Brits. We love you, Hyacinth.
I know one of the two scenes she's referring to, the one with the horse that galloped away with her. They showed the stunts name in the credits. Now I'll make sure to look carefully for the second one. My guess it's the scene when she fell off the the boat (Contessa?!) into the water.
