Dad's army, some mothers do have them, it ain't half hot mum, bottom, the young ones, blackadder, mr bean, london calling, etc etc. We dutch love all of it, and it's such a shame they don't make comedy's like that anymore. Keeping Up Appearances was a great programme. I remember as a kid enjoying Judy Cornwall on Moody and Pegg many many years ago .. another great programme.

She's right. Clive Swift was a fantastic actor. If the script really did give him that little work with, he made Richard into a character everyone could sympathize with and feel very sorry for, the chemistry between him and David Griffin who played Emmet was so good. I use to love this show, I still don't think I've seen all the episodes, I should rewatch the whole thing.
