For whites, i like to use baking soda as a pre whasher and white vinegar instead of softener (I live in a mountain country and the water here is quite "hard", so the vinegar helps) Will the prewash (baking soda) and the softener (vinegar) come to the clothes at different times? The idea is that baking soda and white vinegar don't mix, since they cancel each other. Thank you!

For 100% natural cleaning vinegar, yes, it is no problem to use this instead of softener and especially beneficial in case you have allergies. Using baking soda for the same cycle as pre-wash should not be a problem either. Though we cannot guarantee that soda residue is left when the vinegar enters (possibly causing foam), the reaction is limited. So this shouldn't be a problem for a normal (Cotton) cycle, which includes 2 rinse stages, making the soda flush away before vinegar enters the appliance.

Why didn't you use the prewash (right of the drawer)? Aren't you supposed to put 1/3 of the detergent there, and 2/3 in the left/main part?

The intention of the video is to make users aware of the dosing of softener and detergent in general, not per se to dose all compartments. For pre wash the same applies; do not overfill the max line but moreover, stick to the manufacturers instructions, as some detergents are more concentrated than others.

Also, if I want to do pre-wash, can I use liquid detergent? It seems the liquid detergent drains into the machine as soon as I pour it in.

If you wish to use liquid detergent, follow the
      guidelines provided by the detergent
      manufacturer.
      • You can pour liquid detergent directly into the
main detergent drawer if you are starting the
      wash cycle immediately.
      • Do not use liquid detergent if you are using the
Delay End function, or if you have selected Pre
Wash option, as the liquid will dispense
immediately and may harden in the drawer or
      the tub.
In case of doubt please consult your local LG support organization.

I don't get it, are you supposed to put the cup of detergent in the drum?

    • @LGSAE

Often liquid detergent can be placed in the drum directly. Please follow the guidelines provided by the detergent manufacturer.

60gram for a 12kg machine ? i use persil ariel, concentration may very. i assume that is not a full load of clothes and the water is medium hardness. Also i never seen the liquid detergent put in a cap over the laundry like that, i always put it inside the same compartment as the powder. but looks nice i will try it.

Hello, of course amount of detergent will vary based on amount of laundry, soil level and type of detergent. That's why we advise to always check the detergent label. Liquid you may put in the detergent tray too, but it will flow directly into the drum, especially on our newest models it would directly touch the clothes so you'd need to start the cycle right after pouring it in the tray.

I open the prewash drawer and add the liquid detergent as it starts to draw water. Liquid prewash + powder main wash is the best results I have gotten out of a wash.

What's the difference between "Cotton" and "Cotton" with the little flag?

    • @LGSAE
      @LGSAE  Рік тому +1

Cotton with the little "flag" is the symbol for Cotton Eco, which is the program dedicated to the energy label specifications. The Eco program is limited to 60 degrees Celsius. It also differs from the normal Cotton program in that it uses less water and energy

I know, I’m nit picking, but shouldn’t be touching the detergent with your bare hands. You might rub it in your eyes.
