[Rain World: Downpour] Giving Moon a cloak! (and showing it to Pebbles) (!!SPOILERS!!)

SPOILERS BELOW - HOW TO GET THE CLOAK!
Note: I used Emerald Tweak's "Double Breath" assist and "No Swim Boost Penalty" assist in Rain World Remix settings.
Q: Where can I get this cloak?!?!
A: Submerged Superstructure (SS) as Hunter, Gourmand, Survivor or Monk. It's located at the far east on dry land, swaying in the air, in the same room as SS arena unlock. You can watch my other video to see the location.

But in short: You know the small ladder/island area before the Leviathan lake in front of Looks to the Moon? Go into the pipe (NOT into Looks to the Moon) and go right. You will come across a long downward pipe. You need to swim down, catch yourself a Jetfish and enter a hidden pipe to the right. Breathe. Then go down, don't go to the right in the big pipes, there is a water centipede.
After this, make use of all the bubbleweed, including the one you swallowed (throw it up in the shelter underwater). Make use of pipes. Look for hidden pipes, you can usually see the pipe pips in walls. Pray water centipede and leviathan gods leave you alone. Sway side to side to swim faster, or use boost if you're confident.
You can also use a jetfish, I didn't know they were native :')
If you come across a room that goes up but a column on a pole is stopping you from going up, you can try to spear it from the other pole and climb up. Takes a bit of work and sometimes you will have no more spears to throw at it, but in a test run I managed to pull it off. Skips leviathan sea.
Please note that this WILL make you at the very least frustrated, and at most rage quit the game. Use the assists if you're desperate; your health comes before a game. Or even better, don't do this. It's NOT required. Only gives you new dialogue. Moon will have her cloak regardless when you visit as Rivulet / Saint.
No, my cloak run isn't really legit due to using tweaks, but I wasn't striving for that anyways; I simply wanted to see the dialogue AND more or less achieve it without Devtools.
Additional info:
- The cloak does not take up any slots, and you can drop it accidentally, be wary, especially in places like Pebbles; though you shouldn't even go there, as he doesn't mention anything new.
- Choose wisely who you send into Submerged Superstructure. While other slugcats are faster, Monk has extended breath. Not sure about other changes though.
- Moon should keep the cloak throughout your campaigns; if you bring it to her as Hunter, she SHOULD have the cloak when you visit with Gourmand/Monk/Survivor (and other campaigns, but these three Slugs will not see Moon have the cloak if you didn't give it to her before!)

Your instructions make no mention of the fast swimming technique (swaying side to side to swim about twice as fast). I can only imagine how painful this must have been without that.

A cool thing about the cloak is that you can give it to her as Hunter and then she'll have the cloak in slugcat campaigns further in the timeline (gourmand-monk).
I think she will always wear it once you give the cloak no matter the timeline. You can give the cloak as the monk and moon from hunter's campaign would have them as well

I think there might be a bug where she already has the cloak even if you've never given it to her, when I was watching DasZombie play downpour she already had the cloak and he was confused
@@QuestionableObject I'm pretty sure it's that if none of the other previous slugcats did it, Monk will always canonically bring moon her cloak (and a few extra neurons). Which you can see in Rivulet and Saint (they take place after Monk in the timeline).

there is an alternative unused draw of the Ruvulet ending art where she is naked instead of wearing the cloak, maybe the cloak was originally meant to be an optional super hidden quest instead of canon.
submerged superstructure seems to have bonus content for all slugcats
"bonus content", you mean the dress? Or there are bonuses unique to each slugcat? Asking because i really don't want to go there for the second time without a reason

Yeah. It's a version where. You don't get the cloak. Bc it's super easy to miss lol. It's not unused
Gourmand is probably the easiest for getting the dress as he can craft bubble-weeds and has higher than average breath but I’m not sure if his swim speed is lower.
As long as he doesn't grow tired he can swim somewhat adeptedly

Oh my gosh, after i finished rivulet's story i wondered if SS is actually useful for other scugs but this is absolutely perfect motivation for me to explore it more. And also this explains how moon got her cloak

I like to think its the remains of her old cloak after going through the elements for so many cycles.
Would be cute, but unfortunately that's not the case - I don't want to spoiler much else, but her cloak is different pre-collapse!

Honestly, a good theory! My problem with that is I don't think the fabric would survive being washed out of her facility - since her umbilical tore out, I can't begin to imagine what force would a simple cloth have to withstand to come out (relatively) in one piece. Alas, again, a good idea to think about!

Well uh.. where do I start
Moon can't talk to you unless you met Five Pebbles who gave you the Mark of Communication.
As to her dying, I suppose you had to play as a character that meets her alive. For her to die, you either had to have a broken game.. or, the most likely option, it was *you* who killed her. If you ate all of the flying things (neurons) around her, you killed her. Which, if you did so unintentionally, gotta be some kind of achievement, because usually people notice that she's crying and convulsing on the floor each time you grab and eat a neuron fly. But uh, congrats I guess?

I will check if it respawned, but I'm pretty sure it works the same as for colored pearls - once you touched it, it won't respawn anymore.
Anyway, at least I know how Moon would react thanks to your video.
As I thought, it didn't respawn (´-ω-`) I'll try to get it in other campaigns.
Aw, that sucks! But at least you know where it is! Yeah, dropping it is troublesome. I dropped it once whilst trying to show it to Pebbles, luckily his structure is more or less safe in most parts, so I was able to retrieve it. Good luck, and you're welcome (3
@@lilcactus381 There is a remix option that allows irreplaceable items to respawn! It's mostly useful to farm scavenger rep since traded pearls will respawn in the same room you traded them in ^^

Monk.
You can do this as Hunter, Gourmand, Monk and Survivor though. Each of them have their own advantage I'd say.
