DeAnne Roberts usually, I use Italian bread crumbs but I ran out of the time, so I used these along with some grated Romano and Italian seasoning and it came out just fine :)

We make our bread crumbs using our home-baked bread. My wife and I were married in Sally Jesse Raphael's house in 1991. My wife is 13 years older than I am and I still say I love you each and every day.

I did a method halfway between the two you showed! I toasted the bread in a toaster, so it was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, and then put it in the food processor. It took a little longer in the processor but it worked out great!

Jenny, Your tips about frying homefries is spot on. I don't have my late grandma's restaurant flat top grill anymore. When she sold the restaurant years ago, we no longer had access to it. And I couldn't remember how she and my mom done them at home. But they both had good gas stoves.
So if I can achieve good results on a old yucky electric coil stove in a rental.
    Anyone can.

  • @MrTelboy1962

While Jenny can cook, clearly Telboy Can't Cook, I tried this, I finished up with a pile consisting of bread dust mixed with concrete type chippings, which would have been great for laying a drive but not so good on my Schnitzels. I have a Kenwood food processor too! the problem I thing is that some of the bread here in the UK is a very doughy consistency which tends to dry out like wood chips when baked in the oven. Out local supermarket sells a box of natural breadcrumbs for less than £1 so I think I will use my left over bread for Bread Pudding from now on!
