This is such a great explanation and great to know behinds the reason why we were asked to do these daily chores. These things to be part of early education so that generations will know instead of questioning everything they will follow with understanding and respect
Pranam devi. Lack of words to express gratitude. One day somewhere in future, these explanations of our sanatani habits based on universal truth will reach and change lives of all bharatiyas bringing them back to sattva.
Most precise explanation and reference to context. Moreover you explained how it can still be implemented in present day and be relevant to both modern lifestyle and Vedic rules. Thanks!
Thank you very much for teaching the Hindu dharma. Please also make a series on Purusha Dharma Paddhatih so that I can teach my son. Please also provide any authentic references or resources for Purusha Dharma Paddhatih. I also appreciate your calm tone and pure Indian accent, making everything very clearly understandable.

It is good that Hindhus of ancient times analysed the bodily purity as a pre-condition for religious purity. The use of Neem leaves and cow dung, both have anti-septic quality and so bacteria killers, were to secure both physical and religious purity. Washing with water after urination and defecation was taught to every Indian child. While bathing, 'every orifice' of the human body has to be cleaned. Hindhus prescribed such cleaning procedures in order to prevent the spread of diseases. During the Covid epidemic many Western countries said, 'Wash your hands frequently. Do not share drinks, saliva can spread diseases.
Wow. How much there is to even the act of cleansing ourselves... so many things we did without really understanding the subtler reasons! Thanks for these videos!
Namaskaram akka. It is usually said that vastram has holding soucham, ashoucham qualities. Especially cotton. Like.. there is a rule that we should not touch all clothes during menstruation. If touched, they loose fitness to be used for rituals. Same for mritasoucham. It is said that the clothes get back fitness once they are washed- ie completely wet and dried. But in today's times, we have so much fabric in homes.. like door mats, curtains, upholstery, our clothes in huge quantities. Cleaning or wetting all these is nearly impossible. How do we manage to keep the isolation or restore soucham of all these fabric items in today's day and age?
Namaste. If we decide to follow the shastra-s, we must make efforts to bring our lifestyle in alignment with it, and be mindful of not trying to modify the shastra-s to suit our chaotic lifestyle. So, in this case, the first thing would be to simplify one's lifestyle to make it possible to live in dharma. Secondly, Rajaswala Paricharya prescribes menstrual seclusion so that we restrain our movements during this time. Please read Rtu Vidya to understand the importance of this practice. Then, for the rest, sprinkling water mixed with dried cow dung or bhasma helps to supply prana to those things that have been touched during a period of asaucha, and can be followed after the fourth day bath following menstruation.
@@StriDharma Very helpful akka. Thanks. Perhaps the tradition of sprinkling turmeric water/ ganga water in homes on fourth day after menstruation and during festivals and pujas is also for such restoration. Also, does the shastra-s mention in detail about which items have the tendency to hold soucha- ashoucha vibrations and which don't? This information will be helpful in incorporating a dharmic lifestyle.
Namaste. We say saucha-asaucha while referring to people since it has to do with Apana Vayu. We it comes to things, we say shuddha-ashuddha which refers to the capacity to hold or lose prana (charge). Different materials have different capacity to lose charge, and this can be understood by studying the Triboelectric Series.
@@StriDharma so our ancestors and rishis prescribed guidelines for materials based on the triboelectric principles!! 🙏🙏🙏 Can you do an educational video on this topic too akka please.
Namaste. Sankalpa here (you probably meant as part of Dehali puja and Rangoli) means that you think of Mahalakshmi with bhakti and sweetness, and just talk to Her as you would to your mother. It is the sweetness of the devotee's emotion which makes Her respond and be present. :-)
Namaskaram Sinu ma'am, I have few questions 1)When we sit aside during menstrual time we are told not do any work. Also study. So what should we do?like sitting simply is not working. How to engage ourself 2) Today we use plastic to brush our teeth and a chemically manufactured toothpaste. In substitute to it what did our ancestors use? What was the toothpaste used back then. Also about the soaps and liquids that we use during our bathing. What was used to clean our body when bathing? 3)What cosmetics were used before. Today we see a lot of cosmetic products manufactured which are very harmful to both the environment and us. What cosmetic products did women in those days use? Please do answer my questions
Namaste. Your questions are answered in the chapters of Rajaswala Dharma (Menstrual Regime), Dantadhavanam (cleaning the teeth) and Sringara. You can read the book Stri Dharma Paddhatih to know more or wait for the turn of these discourses.
Neem Stick , Neem Leaves , Guava leaves, finely grounded Charcoal powder , Clove, mint , Salt for Teeth . Soapnut , Chickpea for bathing . The above details are not from the said book but in general ancient practices 🙏🏾

Yes they used to be taught and made to be practiced
We lost the practices completely after independence- thats the sad part of our education

Namaste. The rules for men are covered as part of Varna Dharma, and should be learnt from acharya-s who can guide boys/men in their svadharma.
