13:26 Practically all the food stalls in Chow Kit, including this one, are staffed by Indonesian migrant workers. They might not understand English but they are friendly and hard working. The food is usually good and reasonably priced.

This is fully indonesian restaurant indonesian food all that...indonesian call it lontong but malaysian call it nasi impit( lump solid rice)..eat with spicy coconut milk..staff looks all indonesian...enjoy d food u 2 yaa,👍💃

Hi, Danna. That sticky rice is not a Lontong, its similar lemang which cook from the bamboo. Due to food stall helper are from Indonesia they just change from lemang to lontong.

The nutty dish is called ‘Rujak’ or vegetable salad with peanut sauce. ‘Lontong’ is the rice cubes. So ‘Rujak lontong’ is vegetable salad with rice cubes. ‘ Sedap’ or delicious in Indonesian is ‘enak’. All those people in Chow Kit are Indonesian traders.

Hi- try explore an area outside KL called Sri Hartamas at night. There is a food court called The H with plenty of food choices .

that is call gado-gado/ rojak lontong / pecel.. different place different name .. it's Indonesian food.. also the mistaken meat is actually young jackfruit its common food in Indonesia as well. btw its not kambung its kabung 🤣

Lontong is same like ketupat. Made from rice. The diiferent is how they are wrap. Lontong in banana leaf. Ketupat in coconut leaf.
Is it any different in taste? Does the leaf give flavour?
hi guys. okay, Dan, you are having lontong a vegetable dish it contains lontong, jackfruit, cabbage, and long bean, with coconut gravy the other dish is called rojak which contains of course peanut, black sauce(shrimp paste) lontong, cabbage, water spinach, I think some bean spout and long bean. rojak it like Malay salad if you want to call it.😁

These are basically Indonesian food. Rujak lontong just like pecal. Could be quite nice. Actually Indonesian food are already being accepted here in Malaysia. Assimilated Indonesian and Malay food/taste there

@@dananna8614 Yes very much. But in our family we always add fried tofu (small slices) and sliced sengkuang (sweet turnip). And lots of bird-eye chilli.

Mostly the food stalls or restaurants around there have served by foreigner workers such as Indonesian, Siamise or Southern Indian that they couldn't talk in english very well. But if u want to asking about the type of foods, u can refer to their boss or people passes by around u.. anyway, i believe u have no feel akward about the situation coz i know u both always enjoy urselves👍👍👍
