Small tips. If you eat oily food such as nasi bryani, try not to drink ice drink. Ask for warm or hot drinks. It helps dilute the oily stuff. If you take with cold drink, it'll make you fill fulled and you can't eat a lot more.

When ever side dishes are served in small plates on your main plate, you are supposed to take them out of the main plate and place the next to your plate. Most of these plates are dirty on the bottom in some restaurants. One thing to note here is that, these plates during washing are scrubbed with a sponge and top and just rinsed for the other side with piped water. Extremely rare for the use of dishwashers as the clientele is huge. I know this because I frequent a large mamak restaurant near my place that operates 24 hours every day except for Hari Raya and Hari Raya Haji holidays. Seven huge pots of Briyani rice is cooked daily. You can imagine how many more pots of white rice is cooked each day.
