    Pendulum is not your typical probiotic. It's actually a medical probiotic designed to target a very specific problem: glucose control. This company's mission is to help people with Type 2 diabetes manage their A1C and blood sugar levels naturally by helping restore the gut.
    In this video, I sit down with Pendulum CEO, Colleen Cutcliffe, to learn more about the research and science behind these unique probiotic strains. And while I do not have diabetes or insulin sensitivity, I wanted to test out the product myself for good measure and share my Continuous Glucose Monitor results with you!

    Thanks for the post. I have been taking Pendulum for a few months but haven’t “nerded out” as much as you. I plan on digging deeper like you have. Thank you!

    That was fantastic! I was inspired to watch your full interview to get more background. I encourage anyone interested to check it out. As usual, your diligent self monitoring makes these reviews so much more informative which, for a product this expensive, is essential. Looking forward to the next one!

    Amazing review as always! Your reviews are always so balanced and therefore trustworthy. It's a little out of scope for your channel but would be curious to hear your thoughts about the tiny home when you're done.. I always think it might be a cool idea, but maybe I'd get sick of it after a while? (I'm in SF, so not like my apt is *that* much larger than a tiny home anyway! 🤣)

      @katie_moore  3 роки тому +1

      Haha I know how that goes. I lived in SF for years. Once I lived in Hayes Valley in a LITERAL closet!
      The tiny home was a ton of fun but great because I only had to do it for a few days lol. I love living minimally.. but with more space :P

    Hi Katie this was a fascinating insight ....... ! At the moment I've just started using Seed probiotic and I use liposomal vitamin c as a carrier for other powder supplements on an empty stomach in the morning starting with seed at 5 am then liposomal mix about 7 am and fish oil. Will investigate Pendulum further.

    Hi Katie, thank you for the great vid. Do they recommend healthy folks take it as well? Sort of what you are saying - you don’t have insulin resistance, but you feel it’s still beneficial for you. Will you continue taking it? Thanks again

    When you told me about it and I looked at the price, It is ~$6 a day, but I did not realize it is two pills a day, so it is $3 a pill. Plus, I like the 2 A1C tests, it is getting to look like a better value. I will retest with my CGM in 3 -months. I might do this, because of your recommendation. This is why I follow you. You are my biohacker Muse.

    Do you need to take to pendulum constantly to maintain the process of a good blood sugar metabolism? Does this probiotic will populate and fix the gut of the right/healthy microbiome? So if this probiotic fix the microbiome will there be a time that you don't need pendulum anymore? So in short does this has a long lasting effect or do you need to take it to have a normal blood sugar?

    I started Pendulum with hi hopes on July 9 - I’m prediabetic, and my a1c was 5.9 at the time, more or less where it has been for 2 years. I do intermittent fasting, exercise and have a reasonably healthy diet. I upped my fiber intake as their dietitian (and my wife) recommended. After 3 mos., on Friday my a1c came back at 6....it actually ticked up by 0.1. I have felt metabolic changes, like increased energy and weight loss, but the a1c result was very disappointing. I’m waiting to hear any advice or suggestions they may have. Maybe my new gut bacteria need more time to get into hi gear.

    • @katie_moore
      @katie_moore  3 роки тому +1

      I'm sorry you didn't see the results you were hoping for in your A1C. My theory is that some people who are not deficient in this probiotic strain will see minimal benefit from the probiotic whereas for others it may be a game changer. Could be that your microbiome is in good shape. Do you do any hot/cold therapy?

    • @DZigas11
      @DZigas11 3 роки тому +1

      @@katie_moore thanks for the thought.... folks at pendulum thought it s worth giving it a little longer, given my positive metabolic results.., weight loss / more energy. Not familiar with hot/cold therapy. David

    Just eat better. Easier said than done. I like additive diet solutions: add probiotic foods like kimchi or yoghurt to meals, drink tart juices, add a walk after meals, etc. don’t punish yourself for eating. ❤️

    Pendulum Therapeutics cannot be trusted. After a few months I found that Akermansia did not work for me - so I cancelled the subscription- 3 times and they still keep sending it. The price keeps increasing too. When you call the agent will say sorry and blame the person who previously “canceled” the order and then it comes again. I do not know what to do since their online processing company is non-responsive. I even changed my Apple Card # and they were still able to charge my card.

      Honestly being thin is one of the best predictors of health and longevity. She’s super thin to us but honestly even today’s “normal” standards have gone up 20-30lbs due to the standard American diet and the world health organization’s take on what’s “normal.” At 5’4, by older standards I should be 110lbs. By today’s standards I can be up to 155.
