Been struggling with sever sympathic activation issues for the last few years. Within minutes of putting this on, I felt relief I haven't been able to achieve on my own. A true marvel of science and engineering.
Just a heads up for the community, I purchased an Apollo and it stopped working about 6 months in. I tried to contact the company and I never heard back. Something to consider when purchasing.
I have had one for a about a month. I like it a lot. I like the different modes. It certainly helps with sleep. The different modes are interesting. As they said, the longer you use it the better it works. I just ordered a second one so that I won't be without one.
I really appreciate your reviews. I recently bought the Oura ring after watching your review and think the ring is great. Now I’m going to order the Apollo!! Thanks. Keep up the wonderful information you provide.
Rick - I am so touched!! I love sharing my honest reviews because I really want to help people. So excited to hear you got the Oura -- it's really one of my all-time favorite purchases and I hope you get as much out of it as I did :)
My Apollo Neuro broke after 13 month of use and they were not flexible regarding their 1 year warranty coverage. $400 is extremely expensive for what is essentially a disposable device.
I bought one of these partly on your review. I've had it for a couple months and would say that unless $300 is petty cash to you, I'd pass. I don't know if being ADD has anything to do with the results, but I don't see any benefit that I am able to measure.
Thanks for sharing your experience! I’m sorry it didn’t help you as much as you hoped. I’ve certainly had my share of letdowns on products. Thank you for coming back and leaving a comment ❤️
4:40 hmmm this looks familiar 😀 Thanks for the review and data results, although personally I find the Oura latency metric to be wildly inaccurate - it thinks I fall asleep within 1-4 minutes every night simply because I lay still when I go to bed, even on nights where it takes forever (20+ mins) to fall asleep.
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!! I agree that sometimes the sleep latency on the Oura ring can be a little bit off, but I haven't been able to find a product on the market that measures it precisely. Have you? I'm going to experiment with a few more sleep trackers on the market to see how they compare. Appreciated the support :)
Good stuff Katie. For me I like Touchpoints more because they were able to stop anxiety attacks due to bilateral stimulation. Apollo can't do that unless they start shipping out 2 units, one for each hand :)
This is not a comment on the device performance, but on the company's practices. I bought the device and was sent an itemized receipt by email when I ordered it, so expected to be charged, and pay, that amount. To my surprise, I was charged the equivalent of VAT when it was delivered, which was another 12%, plus an advancement fee from FedEx. When I emailed the company that I was not informed by them of this fee and asked that they pay it, they refused even though they admitted that they had 'recently' updated their website to inform consumers that they might need to pay more taxes. My view is that since they did not have this information on their website when I bought the device, they should pay it. They refuse to do so. I will be making a complaint to the BBB and will be selling the device without having used it, as I'm that disgusted by their stance. Buyer beware.
A reviee of the company’s website gave me the heebeejeebies. Shipping is very high, and the cost of return (if you need to) is crazy. I did not get the feeling that they care about anything more than $$$.
I’ve been trying to find the answer with no luck- does the band emit any EMFs? Like say, an Apple Watch? Is it constantly communicating with Bluetooth? *I* feel uneasy having anything with a constant EMF on my meridian points consistently throughout the day or night. Any input??
Great review. Thanks a lot for doing it. I was looking at the Touchpoint straps but they have some really sketchy reviews. I have only found positive things written about the Apollo and I think your review just helped me make my decision. I was looking for a device for my pretty bad anxiety at work after having had a panic attack for the first time not too long-ago and since then everything that was easy before is now a struggle. I was interested in bilateral stimulation as I've found foot tapping helps which is why I was drawn to the Touchpoint system but apparently it's quite noisey and just not up to the job, but the Apollo has intrigued me with its decent reviews. Thanks again for the great review!
so happy to hear that!! yeah the TouchPoints device might work for some, but in my experience, it just wasn't the right fit. And it was much louder than the Apollo. I really like the flexibility of the Apollo, too. Being able to wear it on your ankle and still get the same results has proven to be really helpful for me, especially when working at my computer all day. Happy this could help inform your decision -- and if you do get the device, please keep me posted on your results! would love to hear how it works for you :)
I am looking at both also. Quite a few negative reviews about the straps on touchpoints or it breaking and my friend said it's cheaply made. But some reviews are really positive - especially for panic attacks. I don't get them but i really need to reduce my stress levels. I am also looking into the sensate pebble. Please let us know how you go with whatever you choose.
Wow, you are so incredibly fortunate that you can fall asleep within seven minutes. I have SEVERE insomnia and am completely debilitated every day because of it. I can't function. Anyway, it looks like this device isn't the right thing for me. I'm glad it helps you a bit. Thanks for your honest review.
I'm so sorry to hear that... take a look at this product. it's a really powerful melatonin supplement. www.glutagenic.com/product/sandman-glutathione-melatonin-suppository/ Ben greenfield has an excellent interview with the creator on his podcast.
@@Lalalalalelo for me personally it had a strange effect. For some unknown reason, the vibration caused my ears to have temporary hyperacusis, a very unpleasant feeling. I'm trying other gadgets for my insomnia though. If I find one that works, I'll try to remember to let you know.
I just received my Apollo today. Are you still consistently using yours? Any chance for an updated experience video? So far today I've been liking it. It's hard to describe how I feel it affected me, but it seems like it taps into something very biological in the body to coerce the nervous system into different alertness/modes. Cheers.
that's awesome!! funny enough, I still am using mine and talk about it in my latest video (coming out today!). i've struggled with focus and attention issues, especially while meditating, and have found this to be a solid addition to my relaxation practice. PLUS I love it for sleep because the pulses are so calming and have helped with my stress response before bed!
I have wear touchpoint now a 2 months. I like technology, but unfortunately, its too loud for using while studying in class or library. Almost same sound like phone vibration. Luckily, i can use it other places, like shopping centre when it calm and relieve some stress.
Wow great review. I like how you used Oura data as a reference point. Caught my attention early on when you pointed out your whoop. I have both devices as well. Any particular reason you chose to use Oura data instead of whoop? Thanks
I test selfhelp technology professionally from 1998 I've tested the Apollo Neuro for 3 FULL MONTHS it doesn't work (except for the PLACEBO EFFECT) I have also measured my parameters as usual with Oura Ring gen.3 Sorry but t's a cheap object with a buggy app Sold for 500 USD with one of the worst customer services ever These are the results of my tests plese feel free to have your opinions I hope mine will stay on this channel because it's real
Does this product emit any EMFs which are not good for your body. The reason I ask is in the video of you sleeping you had your wrist up by your face and I cringed thinking if its emitting negative EMFs that can't be good.
This is what it says on their website. "The Apollo system was designed with EMF concerns in mind. The device has an Airplane Mode that you can select to disable the wearable's internal antenna. When Airplane Mode is off and the app is actively in use, the Apollo wearable emits very low levels of EMF from the Bluetooth connection between the device and app. Once you select an Apollo program and close the app, Bluetooth communication stops until you open the app again. The Apollo wearable waves are sound waves (like music that you can feel and not hear). They are safe for kids, adults, and the elderly."
that it does not (at least not for me). i usually still get up in the middle of the night and most of the time i fall back to sleep, but yeah...that's also been an ongoing struggle for me too! i am working on a couple of new sleep experiments involving different supplements and devices to see if i can go a whole night without waking up...will report back soon!! :)
such a great question, Jenna! I just looked over my REM/Deep sleep data from that time period and I did see my REM and deep sleep go up a little bit. Not a crazy shift, but definitely higher than my average!
it will not help much if you are completely exhausted with no sleep and bad habbits and super overweight etc. It didn't do such wonders but it does kinda work actually for work especially. I had least effect with social and unwind programs, the ones I probably need the most. But, still unwind does work to some degree at least. However I see it a kind of a joke that a tdcs like neurorythm didn't work for her but apollo did 😀
The data is interesting -- I expect that for people like yourself who have already done a lot of optimization that the impact will be lower -- for me personally my latency times are usually muuuch longer, my heart rate is 10 pts higher, and HRV 10 pts lower (despite being probably 10-15 years younger), so I'm very curious to see how it plays out for someone with more to work on.
Thanks for the test, this is my first time hearing about it. The test is objective and sounds interesting. I also use the MUSE S for sleep tracking and do not go into deep sleep. I also get stressed out quickly during the day and am looking for a tool that can also be used during work. Have you heard of Kosys NEOOS before? With these devices, affirmations and tones are transmitted to the skin via ultrasound. These are then perceived by the brain without hearing through the ears. It is also used for language learning. Unfortunately, the devices are also very expensive and I am not sure whether they will work.
Yeah! I actually tried the touch points for stress years before hand! A long time before I started biohacking. I struggled with how clunky and loud they were. Back then I was also a lot more self conscious about walking around with weird devices strapped to me! Lol! Not anymore :P
@@katie_moore Is apollo as loud as the touch points. It's ok if I'm driving a loud bus, but in the lunch room I have to turn them off. That's why I am interested in it. Also the battery life of touch points are about 3 hours if I'm lucky.
My touchpoints look different than the ones you used. Also mine don't use an app. I'm pretty happy with them. Did you also use the ring to test the touchpoints?
Hi have you seen any improvement since filming this video ? I hesitate between buying the muse headband and the Apollo? Which one will help me relax more ? Thank you for your help
Hi Nadia! This is a great question and I've gotta be honest with you. I haven't been able to wear it as much in the last few weeks because my old one stopped charging and they're currently sending me a replacement. But I can say that when I did have the device working, I was using it constantly. I personally found that the light vibrations (which mimic EFT or "tapping") from the Apollo are extremely powerful in lowering my stress over a longer duration, especially while working. I absolutely love meditation and definitely get good use out of my Muse for meditations. But I sometimes find that the Muse is difficult to connect and I have to set aside time to do a full meditation during the day, whereas the Apollo is great because I can just throw it on and go. And the Apollo also has some cool sleep features for lowering HRV at night...right now I can't sleep with my Muse 2, but I do know they just came out with a Muse S (sleep) so I'll be sure to do a review on that when I get my hands on one. My friend Shervin just did a deep dive on it, if you want to check it out: ua-cam.com/video/k7mUcqyBL50/v-deo.html. Also the Apollo customer support is great so I'm sure if the device didn't work for you, you could get a full refund. I hope this helps and please let me know what you decide!!! :)
Great question. As of right now they do not! It's a one time purchase sort of thing. The Whoop band on the other hand does...and I'll have my full review of that device coming out next Thursday :)
hands down the apollo. i know the touchpoints are cheaper, but i think you get what you pay for with that device. the TPs were very loud (to the point of being distracting) and you were extremely limited in your options to control the pulsations. i've read a LOT of reviews on them and have seen consistent failure of the device across the board. i would not recommend buying to be completely honest.
Hi Shannon!! Thank you so much for watching! I think it may have been a few weeks (like 3-4)? I know they've been out of stock lately and there's been some delays across the board with all my shipments during the pandemic. But I've had a very good experience with their customer service team - in particular, Justin from their CS team followed up with me multiple times on my recent order and even emailed me after it was delivered to ensure everything worked. Hope this helps!
Brilliant! Love your videos and btw! Great content and quality reviews. Would you recommend the Dreem 2 device over the phillips smart sleep? Ohh and could you recommend your top 5 biochacking podcasts on UA-cam? You mentioned Ben Greenfield here. Anyone else besides him and Dave Asprey that a potential biohacker must listen to?
@@deltamerger5937 hey! thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment! I only tried the Dreem 1, but a UA-cam friend of mine -- Shervin Shares - Peak Performance - has tested out the Dreem 2 and loves it. We actually did a biohacking tech video together coming out later this month where we do a full review on our favorite devices! Only good thing about the Philips is the easy return policy, so not a bad first purchase since there's a 30-day return policy! Also funny enough I DID a full video on my top 5 favorite podcasts here: ua-cam.com/video/w6_3BrqF_Bg/v-deo.html!! Ben, Dave, Max Lugavere, and Luke Storey all made the cut. I would also add Peter Attia and High Intensity Health to this list!
I’ve been using the Apollo for about two weeks now and I’m liking it a lot. I really feel like it’s helpful in many ways. I just stumbled across your review today. I wanted to ask you if you felt better results wearing it on your ankle or wrist. I’ve been wearing it on my ankle because a lot of users say it’s better there, but I would prefer my wrist. It does feel an awful lot like a house arrest anklet. I’ve gotten weird looks while walking my dog, lol. My HRV is down 17 points, I’m at 26 for the week. Is that good?
Hi Maggie! I prefer the ankle because I find the wrist to be distracting. Especially while typing on the computer. I don't really mind the house arrest look, but I'm weird like that. I've always got some strange new biohack attached to me lol. So on the HRV subject the general guidance is higher is better... so you don't want your HRV to drop... 26 is on the low end. I would definitely pay attention to that, maybe bring it up with your doctor or look into means of improving HRV. Diet, lifestyle, stress, sleep, age, etc... a lot can impact HRV.
I bought one of these for my son. Do you have suggestions on how to use the settings. I think I heard you say you set the sleep setting for 120 minutes. How long do you set the others or do you just turn the others on and off as needed?
great question, Leora! Yes I usually fall asleep with the Sleep and Renew setting on for 120 min and for the other settings like social, I usually max it out at 60 min. If i'm doing a meditation, I'll usually program it for the duration of the meditation. But I would say, in general, I just turn on/off as needed!
Hello!! Thank you so much for watching and leaving a great comment! So unfortunately my Apollo broke and I'm having a replacement shipped to me (hopefully this week) so I've been out of commission with the device for a couple of weeks now, which has been a huge bummer. I will say, that for the first 2-3 weeks of using this device, I felt my meditation practice getting stronger, but this was purely anecdotal as I did not quantify this with any HRV or heart rate data. HOWEVER, I did just get the Muse S for meditation and when my Apollo arrives, I plan to do a 1-week meditation experiment with the EEG headband to see how my stats differ when I use the Apollo v. don't use the Apollo for meditation. I hope this helps!
There is a danger to items like this in that one will be much kess likely to find their ablity to be in sync with their higher self, which was the problem in the first place.
This device is more than $300 which means that most positive reviews from youtubers are because they are getting an affiliate payout bonus for when someone buys it from their link.
Really solid review! Im' curious about the ankle bracelet. I noticed in many of the shots it was on top of the leggings, does it still work like that or does it have to be against bare skin? One thing I didn't quite follow was if this still got int he way similar to the touchpoint or if this was otherwise completely invisible in your daily life?
great question! you definitely still feel the vibrations even over clothing. and in terms of getting in the way of everyday work, i used the device on my ankle for typing/writing and used it on my wrist for meditation/sleeping/social. what's nice about the Apollo compared to touchpoints is that you have the flexibility to wear it on either your ankle or wrist, which allows you to type or write and be productive!
Have just received mine, used it for a whole day on different settings, which worked! But now it is still very slowly charging after six hours! Does it normally take that long? My iPad only takes an hour....please advise. 😳
@@katie_moore thanks Katie, I am a senior struggling with all things tech.! What is a brick? Is it the I pad plug that connects to the wall plug ? Haha. This Apollo is a massive adventure for me, so any help is much appreciated. I wish there was a support site for q and A’s on this thing...🦋🎶🤗🤓
Hey Katie, could you please provide an updated review on the Apollo device? Does it actually work with all the programs for the moods they offer? I know you said the energy and wake up programs didn't really affect you but all the other programs work for you?
Of course! I'm still using the Apollo almost every day for sleep and meditation, and about bi-weekly for the social setting. I feel like the energy and wake up programs are very subtle and don't hit me quite like a cup of coffee, but I think it depends a lot on your body. For instance, my mother in law felt very energized by this setting because she's more sensitive to this type of stimulation. But right now, I love it for the more meditative and calming settings because energy is not really my problem!
@@katie_moore so assuming one is anxious and is having palpitations about it, turning this bad boy on to the meditation mode would reduce heart rate and blood pressure? Does it actually stimulate the vagus nerve to increase HRV and has your HRV scores been steadily going up with the use of this? Does it lower your resting heart rate even during wakeful consciousness? Finally, has it improved your sleep quality? You know, like does it increase your deep sleep and REM? Does it reduce your sleep duration for the same quality of sleep, does it have you waking up feeling more refreshed?
@@katie_moore Love different subjects like: how to manage stress, improve cognitive performance, what water to drink, grounding, how to disconnect from distractions, the healing power of breathing, the best home purifying plants, air purifier, how to start exercice and keep exercising, how to be in a flow state, exercises to train the brain (using left hand, balance exercices, juggle ..), EMF protections, continuous glucose monitoring. I am always looking for the minimum dose/maximum effect
Hi Katie. Thanks for the review. Just wondering whether you noticed any improvements to your HRV score on the Oura ring as a result of using the Apollo Neuro? (e.g. improvements to your baseline HRV or improvements to HRV while using Oura's 'Moment' feature and Apollo at the same time). Interested to hear more!
Hello!! Thank you so much for watching the video and leaving this brilliant question! Sadly, my Apollo has been out of commission for a couple of weeks and is in the process of being replaced, so all I can speak to is the first 2-3 weeks of using this device consistently...and the improvement to my HRV score from my initial use. BUT, I should be getting a new Apollo shipped this week and I'm curious to see what my HRV stats look like compared to the first time I used it. I'll keep you posted and might do a follow-up video if my findings drastically differ!
I just got the Apollo a few days ago. not able to use the two buttons to repeat the last modes. Contact the customer service. said will call me back in the morning, it is 8pm already, not get any call yet. Email back a few times, no response. Call their number, no body receive the call. very disappointed with their after sale service.
Honestly I had trouble with their customer support as well. Once I got ahold of them they were quite helpful and nice. but getting ahold of them was difficult. Keep trying!
Hi there.. great review. I have the product but didnt see a huge difference but after seeing the video I may give it a go again. I actually used it after having used NUCalm for about 4-6 months religiously and I will tell you i have never experienced anything like it. I come from a medical and highly scientific background and the whole biosignalling disk thing came across really out there.. but the system works incredibly so much so I invested in it for my clinical practice. I wonder if you have a review or video on NuCalm and what your personal experience with it may be. Thanks,
I do! but that's like comparing apples and oranges. This device helps me focus and rest. The whoop only tracks fitness and rest, it doesn't influence them.
Nope! I make no money from Apollo neuro. I will always disclose any conflict of interest information in my videos. I put my ethics statement at katietypea.com/ethics if you’re curious! ☺️
The Apollo seems so pseudo-scientific. I recommend checking out Alison Caldwell's video on it. She has a PhD in neuroscience and went to MIT. It's a pretty good video to watch on the Apollo Neuro. She tested it out here: ua-cam.com/video/IuPSJqq6Ab0/v-deo.html
My experience sucked. Whoop failed. They didn't have a customer service number and it took weeks for them to respond, even longer to replace the device. All the while charging me a monthly fee. That's stealing in my book.
yikes!!! i am so sorry to hear that -- this was the Whoop or the Apollo? I ended up returning my Whoop and agree it took a while for the customer service team to get back to me. but they finally sorted things out and canceled my subscription. i can totally understand your frustration and hope you get things resolved :)
Great video. So many interesting biohack devices out there. It's good to get some objective reviews. And if I could fall asleep in 7 minutes I'd be beyond jubilant. It usually takes me at least an hour after I take melatonin unless I'm totally exhausted.
I did not no.. I do really like the effect of the apollo, but I find the effects to be temporary, helping with relaxation, falling asleep, and focused attention for an hour or two.
Katie Type A I’ve got one now and it’s subtle.. if you are majorly stressed and put major load on your body, it won’t get you in the green all the time
Great review and I was also wondering how these compared to Touchpoints and am glad you covered it. As a way to reduce anxiety, do you feel this would be worth purchasing? I was reading that the Garmin Vivosmart 4 has stress monitoring and breathing exercises to help relax if it senses stress. I know they are different concepts and price range but would appreciate your thoughts.
Hi!! Thank you so much for the feedback and so glad I was able to shed some light on the Touchpoints devices. So I looked into the Garmin Vivosmart 4 device and here are my initial thoughts (apologies in advance for the long comment, I'm very thorough!!) 1. They've got a killer HRV tracker, powered by Firstbeat (an amazing company using some of the highest caliber heart rate tracking out there -- coincidentally, I have a video talking about this company next week!). So I love that. This will give you a run down of your HRV levels over the course of the day so you can monitor your changes over time. 2. The "body resources" functionality looks really good, especially since this can help you stay on top of recovery time. The Whoop band has a similar functionality and it's enabled me to give my body more "recovery" breaks rather than stressing it out with a strenuous task like a difficult workout. So that's cool. 3. Great price point (under $100) and available at Best Buy so you could always return it if it's not working! What the Garmin is NOT going to give you is: - Physical pulsations that work like EFT (tapping) to help reduce heart rate in the moment. This is something the Apollo or Touchpoints do. - Stress coaching or meditations (at least I couldn't find this on their app -- but I also think you don't need a device to help you meditate unless you're super curious about your brain wave activity, at which point I would say invest in the Muse2). - It really looks like a slick watch designed PRIMARILY for athletes. Check out this review here: www.wired.com/review/review-garmin-vivosmart-4/ All in all, I would say you've really got to figure out your biggest goals with a fitness tracker and see if you can test it out (i.e. Best Buy) before you make a big investment. Based on everything I've tried so far in the last year, here are my top picks right now in the tracker world: SLEEP - Oura Ring FITNESS - Whoop WATCH/ACTIVITY - Apple Watch MEDITATION - Muse 2 ANXIETY/FOCUS - Apollo Neuro (it is $$ -- maybe ask about return policy??) I hope this helps!
Sorry in my video I said it was waterproof but it’s actually just water resistant. Here’s the official statement from the company. “The Apollo wearable is water-resistant. It is not waterproof - we do not recommend wearing Apollo in the shower, bath, or while swimming.”
Do you limit screen time before bed? Being exposed to blue light before going to sleep can be one of the most disruptive things to falling asleep quickly. If that’s not your problem I’ve got other ideas :-) let me know!
@@katie_moore I loved the editing on this video! B-roll was amazing. 2+ HR an 2- HRV, I can see it works. I'm still unsure if its worth the investment for me. But i still really want it!

@@katie_moore Thanks for the reply. Will definitely let you know 🤞. Keep up the great work.
@@wanderlust4215 please do!!!
@@wanderlust4215 Did you end up getting the Apollo? If you did, what do you think of it?
Wow, you are so incredibly fortunate that you can fall asleep within seven minutes. I have SEVERE insomnia and am completely debilitated every day because of it. I can't function. Anyway, it looks like this device isn't the right thing for me. I'm glad it helps you a bit. Thanks for your honest review.

7 MINUTES?!?!?! OMG!!! I cant fall asleep in under 2 HOURS!
hello, is that helpful for panick attacks? On what mode?

Hi there, will the sound waves bother my cats? I understand that they can hear high frequencies
Wow great review. I like how you used Oura data as a reference point. Caught my attention early on when you pointed out your whoop. I have both devices as well. Any particular reason you chose to use Oura data instead of whoop? Thanks
I test selfhelp technology professionally from 1998
I've tested the Apollo Neuro for 3 FULL MONTHS
it doesn't work (except for the PLACEBO EFFECT)
I have also measured my parameters as usual with Oura Ring gen.3

Can we get an updated review :)
Great review! Having the Oura ring data is super helpful.
Yeah! having data as a point of comparison is so helpful. I want more data! :P

Are the vibrations similar in feel to an Apple Watch’s vibrations?
Do you think this is good for someone who has a lot of anxiety?
Does it keep you stay asleep? That’s my problem.
that it does not (at least not for me). i usually still get up in the middle of the night and most of the time i fall back to sleep, but yeah...that's also been an ongoing struggle for me too! i am working on a couple of new sleep experiments involving different supplements and devices to see if i can go a whole night without waking up...will report back soon!! :)

@@katie_moore Looking forward to that video!! I would love to sleep through the night and wake up feeling refreshed.
Would you suggest this or the Xen for relaxation, do you think?
The Apollo Neuro was my favorite. I respond well to vibration technology devices
Can higher intensity give better result?
Is 120 min the longest you can set it for?
Yay! Thanks Katie! Did you notice any shifts in your deep or REM at all? Just curious. YOU ARE AWESOME!
such a great question, Jenna!
Hi Katie, new sub, just got mine. I also got the oura and am excited about both.
Great choices Janice! Those are still two of my favorite wearables. Welcome to the Type A Tribe!
Interesting. I work for a company that does tests and the approach is more about calibration than instant relief.
At 1:15 there's a snippet of you on a mat that has different colors, and I'm trying to find it to learn more. Can you help please?!
That’s the TrueLight pillow! I laid on it at the biohacking conference!
@@katie_moore thank you so much! I'm looking into it
Hello. Thanks for the review. Does the Apollo react differently each day to your heart rate or do the programs do the same thing each time?
Glad you compared with touch points.
That’s one of the reasons I like the Apollo. I can have it on in a quiet room and nobody knows. It’s very subtle.
Battery life is not incredible but I can probably get 4 without a charge.
Do you think it works better on your arm or your leg?
What are your thoughts on Xen by Neuvana?
@@katie_moore Thank you Katie
How did your average HRV only go up 2ms but you said it jump about 35ms on the first night?!

Hi!! It was found footage from the Apollo's UA-cam channel!
@@katie_moore Ok, thanks. I really appreciate your videos! (I'm a Type A also.) Just bought the Apollo Neuro.
Hi Katie, does the Apollo device require a subscription in order to keep using? How does that work?
Great question. As of right now they do not! It's a one time purchase sort of thing. The Whoop band on the other hand does...and I'll have my full review of that device coming out next Thursday :)
My wife purchased one for my birthday, I just started using it.
Awesome! I hope you like it. 🎉 also happy birthday!
What is better about Apollo over touchpoints other than sound and water proof? Because touchpoints is half the cost.
hands down the apollo. i know the touchpoints are cheaper, but i think you get what you pay for with that device. the TPs were very loud (to the point of being distracting) and you were extremely limited in your options to control the pulsations. i've read a LOT of reviews on them and have seen consistent failure of the device across the board. i would not recommend buying to be completely honest.

In which way did it help you?
Great review. Can you compare it to the sensate pebble please?
I ordered it! Will definitely do a review once it arrives!
@@katie_moore Awesome - I'm very interested in this comparison too!
Do you have to wear the face on the inside of your wrist?
I bought one of these for my son. Do you have suggestions on how to use the settings. I think I heard you say you set the sleep setting for 120 minutes. How long do you set the others or do you just turn the others on and off as needed?
great question, Leora! Yes I usually fall asleep with the Sleep and Renew setting on for 120 min and for the other settings like social, I usually max it out at 60 min. If i'm doing a meditation, I'll usually program it for the duration of the meditation. But I would say, in general, I just turn on/off as needed!
Hi Leora, how did it work for him? what do you think of it?
Katie, having used the Apollo for a bit now, are you able to say whether it is useful for something like meditation? Cheers.
@@katie_moore wonderful! How did it go? I have an oura, muse, and just got an Apollo on loan for 10 days.
Does this product work better than Neorhythm and some of the the other biohacks tech devices you’ve tried?
There is a danger to items like this in that one will be much kess likely to find their ablity to be in sync with their higher self, which was the problem in the first place.
hi, why is that? Im very interested
@@katie_moore Awesome to learn and I appreciate the additional info on how to wear it!
I may get this. Really stressed lately.
Have just received mine, used it for a whole day on different settings, which worked! But now it is still very slowly charging after six hours! Does it normally take that long? My iPad only takes an hour....please advise. 😳
Woah! No it should charge within 45 min! Maybe check the brick you are using to charge? Higher wattage might help
@@katie_moore thanks Katie!
Thanks, keep the good work

Hi there.. great review. Thanks,
Do you like this better than Whoop?
I do! but that's like comparing apples and oranges. This device helps me focus and rest. The whoop only tracks fitness and rest, it doesn't influence them.
Good information. Is this a paid review?
Are you still using this device?
Why isn't anyone worried about the constant emfs that their body is receiving? This can't calm if it's hitting the body with all of those Rads... SMH
I think she said it used sound waves, which aren't the same as radio waves. SWs aren't EM.
When using Apollo, did you see a compelling improvement in your whoop numbers (recovery, hrv, resting heart rate)?
So I looked into the Garmin Vivosmart 4 device and here are my initial thoughts (apologies in advance for the long comment, I'm very thorough!!)
What the Garmin is NOT going to give you is:
- Physical pulsations that work like EFT (tapping) to help reduce heart rate in the moment.
Check out this review here: www.wired.com/review/review-garmin-vivosmart-4/
All in all, I would say you've really got to figure out your biggest goals with a fitness tracker and see if you can test it out (i.e. Best Buy) before you make a big investment.
Based on everything I've tried so far in the last year, here are my top picks right now in the tracker world:
SLEEP - Oura Ring
FITNESS - Whoop
WATCH/ACTIVITY - Apple Watch
MEDITATION - Muse 2
ANXIETY/FOCUS - Apollo Neuro (it is $$ -- maybe ask about return policy??)
I hope this helps!
so can i swim with this?
I am pretty certain it is not waterproof! I would not recommend swimming with it.
Sorry in my video I said it was waterproof but it’s actually just water resistant. Here’s the official statement from the company.
“The Apollo wearable is water-resistant. It is not waterproof - we do not recommend wearing Apollo in the shower, bath, or while swimming.”
You fall asleep in 7 min? I can’t even imagine what that would be like.
Very informative video ^_^
so happy you found this helpful and thanks for the feedback
I wonder if she’s paid/influenced by the companies she advertises for!? Is this a true review or what?!
7:30
Lol 7min and 3min to sleep??!!! It takes me an hour to fall asleep usually
Do you limit screen time before bed? Being exposed to blue light before going to sleep can be one of the most disruptive things to falling asleep quickly.
If that’s not your problem I’ve got other ideas :-) let me know!
I really wanted this to work.. it doesn’t
How long have you been using it? Can you return it? I’m on the fence if I should buy.

Apollo says you should wear this on the underside of your wrist.
Why the annoying background music? That gives me anxiety just watching this.
