If anyone is interested, latency is about 83ms longer then the fpv screen
As in a screen directly hooked to this unit is ok? Just not the phone part?
Skydroid 5.8ghz otg has 10ms latency which is great for fpv indoors and outdoors
I've had these for months! Seriously awesome for spectator, and recording DVR for tests and social media. Eats batteries like candy though

About the latency, it depends on your smartphone. On my dead Galaxy Note 4 (R.I.P.) it was amazing, almost zero latency. But on my new Galaxy J7 Pro it's pretty terrible... 😔
Anyway, it's still great for spectators. 😉
I would use it in the field if someone wants to see the fpv
voltage +5V and Ground are the outputs in this device, you can power your DVR from your ROTG02 by first connecting a USB cable to your smartphone.

Are you saying that we can MOD this ROTG01/ROTG02 with some Diversity module like Eachine PRO58 RX Diversity? but we can't change the Latency of 100ms right?

hi, i have that receiver originally with one rx i soldered another module to it but only today i saw its not working diversity. i think its somethink about the fw not looking for a second module.
the pin left to ground pin is audio. i use it to a small audio ic and a speaker

Just a question: If i use it in my cellphone i will see a latency, but if i use the same device in a screen this latency will be reduced? thats right? or the ROTG02 has a latency in any stuff that i pluged it?

ayy those pads on the bottom side G, D+, D-, does that "D" stand for "DIVERSITY"? i haven't been able to figure out what that stands for... unless misprinted B? doubtful, even for EACHINE. i've been using the av port for lower latency but i'm interested in those little pads. Any ideas?

Im having video feed issue with ROTG01 Pro. Im using analog port AV5G when I power up the monitor it wont video feed but the moment I connect micro usb with my laptop at the time I got the video feed perfectly working and then I remove the micro USB. Everytime I need to connect micro USB for video feeding. I don't know the issue earlier it was working fine.
Can I use any VTX with this module?
I do a work around on the rotgo1 I don't run a program to view I plug in as though it's a USB camera a lot less latency IMO

I fly fixed wing FPV with this. No problems @ all. I understand for mini drones racers it might not be the best choice.
I don't have DVR in my goggles, so this is a nice solution. BUT the recording quality is horrible. I use a screen recorder to capture the feed from this on my phone

EDIT: basically don't care the latency because I'm on my Fatshark but we used to have lots of "picnic" in the park with my friends and this way they can also see what I see
Why does noone question the fact that the app offers only 4x3 ratio and no switch for 16x9, which is being transmitted from the camera?
I use it for DVR and with a cheap vr goggle it's great for spectators.
If anyone is interested in the otg you can buy the Skydroid 5.8ghz otg from Amazon it has a latency of 10ms.

Unfortunately it does notwork on any of my computers, mobiles or tablets right after it arrived from China ;(
if you were to jump the other receiver video and you tied it with the first receiver wouldn't you get diversity coming out of the AV then
If the pin out of that connector is the same as the ROTG01, the pins from left to right are audio, video, 5V, and GND.
I've been looking around to see if anyone has tried to backfeed 5V to the usb from this connector because using this in combination with the screen being continuously on really kills my phone's battery. If it would, does anyone know if I run the risk of damaging anything in my phone by trying to give it 5V while it is powering the device via OTG?
In case anyone is wondering, the ROTG01 and ROTG02 in combination with my phone and a VR box is all I've used for FPV. I have no idea if the latency is bad because I've never compared it to anything else. I fly OK with the setup but I'm by no means good. Maybe latency is hurting me but I just figured I need more practice lol.
Hi there, do you notice a latency difference between the two of them?
Beware of using the VR BOX. My phone overheated and the screen got permanent damaged spots.
@@flynyc7625 I don't recall any latency difference but that's pure perception. The biggest difference was better reception through obstacles. I have since tested the ROTG02 and I get 100-140ms latency. I didn't think to check the ROTG01.
@@marianofpv That's no good. I've been using this on 2 different phones and haven't had any issues except it kills the battery pretty quickly. I think both phones get hotter when using them for GPS.
To anyone else curious about the charging, I tried and could not get it to work. The phone will either charge or do OTG but not at the same time. Depending on what order you plug in the receiver to the phone or the 5V to the receiver changes which thing works. Maybe other phones will but my V40 will not.
I will use it with a DIY APM 250 drone.

Nice review, it seems nice for spectators, to produce DVR. I thin using it on the PC will open way more possibilities. Maybe like a live stream ;)
