@Woombi did you even watch the video? This guide is here because there are collectibles you can miss even BEFORE the point of no return. I myself got super lucky when i accidentally stopped following the guide for like 5 mins and missed one of the writers journey videos. Luckily an autosave came to the rescue, or else I would have had to do a whole entire playthrough again. All because of one 5 minute segment of not following a guide to the exact letter. It sucks when you can't just play through the game and THEN worry about the easily missable things. It's really annoying to have to follow a guide over potentially missing a single small prompt in the course of a 20+ hour playthrough. At the VERY least there should be a chapter select option.
@@austinabbott1120 did you even read my comment? A point of no return means that you can come back and get most collectibles. I think it’s a bit different in Alan’s campaign because of the storytelling that remedy is going for and I would even go so far to defend it. Yknow the funny thing though? Every time I went through an area and missed a video(the type of collectible you were complaining about) that was playing they gave it to me anyways. Yknow what really sucks? When babies expect everyone playing a game to have the same experience like a fuckin rollercoaster ride cause if not it’s somehow not fair. “No sir you shouldn’t reward players that are more dedicated to getting as much out of the experience as possible, we bought the same ticket and I’m obligated to get all the collectibles too(even though I won’t put the work in without a guide)!” A point of no return is literally them telling you “hey moron! You can’t get any more of this shit after this so last chance!” They literally couldn’t help you out anymore than holding your hand and treating you like a 5 year old.
Just wanted to mention the janitor is Ahti not Ilmo. Love your videos btw

I actually somehow missed the first koskela brothers commercial. Even though I remember watching it. It somehow never registered. Never got the plat because of this on my first play through. But as I started a new game and played a couple of minutes, canceling all cutscenes, I found myself at that first tv commercial and the trophy popped up and I got my platinum. So don’t worry about playing the whole thing over again. ❤️
Considering you can’t chapter select in this game some of these collectible being missable is kinda a bummer. I hope they address this in the new game plus or DLC. Sooner the better since there are trophies/achievements attached to this.
@@Blood-zz2kt that’s cool but not everyone spends their time searching for collectibles, especially when the story hooks you and you can’t help but go on
You can miss other stuff as well if you are just before the point of no return for Alan. When your Goal is to enter Parliament Tower the game doesn't allow you to change scenes so you will be unable to enter the station again if you missed some echoes. Alan just says that he needs to be on the scene to change it while standing there.
@@SnakeDoctorSilver I think it warns you at the point of no return (and it switches to Saga if you haven't finished her story) but not before it. I would say your last chance to collect everything with Alan is when the game asks you to go to the bottom right side of the map. Once you finish that area, the Parliament Tower appears which locks you out of the station.
Drowning was missable for me; which is why it's in my video. The game recommends you get the photos from the shoebox, but (for me) if you leave the studio and skip the photos, you're allowed to keep making story progress, and then it doesn't unlock when you come back.
OK. I'm so frustrated that I can't even have the right to "solve" their bad puzzle "nursery rhymes" BS, just because I missed some obscure object in a previous level. that truly sucks. Especially since the rewards are so low too for any of those terrible puzzles.
Well my love for this game just got cut in half......my inventory is glitched and I'm stuck with only 2 upgrades for saga (I can physically see the upgrade but gane won't let me pick it up) and I very methodically searched the entire game without a guide only to find out I missed a collectable cuz I had already searched a place I needed to return to. Very bad game design on these. What a huge letdown after over 20 hours of an otherwise great experience

Remedy if you see this, missable collectables suck, especially if you don’t offer us chapter select once competing the game. Please address this
You get a point of no return so isn’t it your own fault if you actually miss something?

Chapter select is here now! Mopping up my last 2 achievements now.
It's called exploring. Anyone who played the 1st game knows to take their time. This game is about world building, not running and gunning.

@@zsolt3871 thanks I'll try to keep this in mind
There is a mistake on the first missable. It’s not the Coffee World commercial, it’s actually Adventure Tours. Just an FYI to avoid any confusion.
Thanks, I was so confused what he meant by coffee world lol
As always thanks for the hard work that it takes to produce these videos. Really looking forward to this game 👍😊👍
Thank you so much. Though I swear xbox achievements can be so slow that the zanes film did not pop for a solid minute had a small heart attack.

that is not Illmo its Ahti
The first commercial is for tour guide not coffee world. Coffee world is grabbed after finishing Initiation 3 and returning to saga, casey&alan
Thank you! I almost restarted my game thinking I missed it, this dude is going to fuck a lot of people over who don’t know better.
I’m a little confused as long as I get these collectibles can I go back any get the others? As long as it’s before the no returns stage?
These are the only ones not possible to grab in the open world at the end of the game
Tank you maka
I couldnt get to the basement, is it possible to go back and get the photos after the chapter ends? Or do you have to only get it in chapter 7?
How do you open diner and morgue locked doors?
Thanks great video
Drowning is totally bugged! i did exactly this and couldnt get it to load, I lost out on my platinum for this :(
Ok so ive just got to the parliament tower im watching alice videos when do i go to the talk show basement for the alice photos?
During Initiation 6. You visit Parliament tower multiple times, so I don't know where in the game you are.
Drowning should be un-missable but for some reason it didn’t play when I loaded back in, only just noticed since this is what I need to plat the game
Yeah me to did you find a way to fix drowning video for Alan wake 2
@@FenwayGames tried to, seems like once you leave it’s missable… i’m just gonna wait till Ng+ is a thing as I ain’t starting again just for that.

Illmo? How do u mess up such an iconic character in the universe as ahti and get him confused with another big character illmo? Smh
Great so I’ve missed 1. The 101 room. That’s a lot of time wasted. Cool.
Chapter select, you're welcome
All other collectibles arent missables?
All the others are available in open world free roam prior to the point of no return in each story!
Ellmore the janitor? Lol wtf is Ahti. You even play with subtitles.
smh calling Ahti, Ilmo
Ahti.
Im only missing the writers videos
