Because Rammstein have a truly insane number of people who essentially shitpost "demos" that are Rammstein-esque songs people have chucked together in a DAW. Pretty much a sign of the times, you couldn't pull that off passably not long ago. These days, you can mush together some Rammfire guitar clips,a bass VST, a bit of EZ Drummer and it sounds similar in quality to the kind of demos Rammstein have have actually released, making them semi-quasi-hemi-demi passable as "demos". You'll notice there's often a lack of Paul Landers guitar tone because apparently it's cooler to play a Mesa Rectifier than a SansAmp PSA-1/GT2, and a total lack of keyboards because Flake is quite frankly a genius. Matching his style isn't trivial and can't be done by someone who can basically just competently chuck a few power chords together. Plus you essentially need an Ensoniq ASR-10, a sampler from the early 90s to nail a lot of his sounds. That's beyond insane for someone looking to shitpost a demo with VSTs. I have no idea why all the fake demo's exist... probably because you can do it with a bunch of pirated VSTs.
@Corvid Shit dude, I'm so happy you commented. That's quite a bit of information about one of my favorite bands. I'll have to look into Flake's keys. I recently discovered that janne wirmann from children of bodom had a preset pack dropped from Roland I believe. I'll never forget your knowledge friend.
@@CaptainPantys No probs, I spent my youth kinda studying Flake's sound, glad it helped out a bit! I've got a few videos on my channel of the most interesting sounds, particularly the "Flake solo" from Ich Tu Dir Weh, Das Alte Leid, Hallomann, Fruhling In Paris, etc. It's a very spesific string/vocal pad fed into a tweaked ASR-10 effect, which is priceless to actually play, worth every penny spent on getting an ASR. They cost well over £800 these days, I picked up my cheapest one for £200!
I remember hearing this from like ten years ago. Why does it say it was uploaded recently lol
