Knew they had a new singer but I hadn't heard anything from them for years. I thought Saliva had called it quits then this album shows up in my Apple Music feed. I expected it to be shit, but it surprised me how good it is.
I'm glad they embraced their new singer's style. I went on UA-cam and searched the obscure songs they'd released with him before as he tried to copy the old Saliva sound and it was weak. This new stuff is good, sounds like 80s rock mixed with 90s Stabbing Westward alternative flair.
Face it fans, you don't want a poser copying the old singer. This new album is what I was hoping, not a half assed retread like the new Ghostbusters movie, but a genuine rebirth of a band with a new voice and a new lease on life. Bravo!

Wayne Swinny is a fucking legend. His old sound was better but this Breaking Benjamin style is cool too! Seeems like Bobby found a style that's much more 'him' than singing those old BS Josey Scott lyrics.
This isn't Saliva.. it just isn't at all :/ Oh well, time to move on from one of my favourite bands of all time, I'll just listen to the gold from 1997 to 2011.
This is a good song, and the sound is good, if this was another band and not Saliva then yes, rock on, but Saliva was so unique and different with such a great sound. This is just a fairly normal sounding song... shame.

+jpdeuce73 it was just a demo that was redone as Rise Up, or were there more albums?
To the best of my knowledge it was technically 3, but more like 2. 'In It To Win It' was released in Sept. of 2013 and then re-released as 'Rise Up' in 2014 minus 3 songs from 'In It To Win It' and the newest album is 'Love, Lies and Therapy' that just came out in June.
