His music helped me through alot of difficult times. Like when i was in mourning for the loss of my mom.
Found bucket the day after my first big loss in life. 14 and a friend passed after an accident. Next day I had guitar lessons and teacher was being nice and somehow showed me this crazy guy with a kfc bucket. 30 now and all the more unfortunate I’ve been through. Buckets a main inspiration and an unsung hero for me whether I notice or not.
I used to think that Buckethead’s music transports me to another world, but now I realize that it actually elevate me to a new plane of reality.
That settles it; I'm getting a Buckethead tattoo.

I was born in Los Angeles in 1970, graduated Morse High School in San Diego in 1988. My parents didn't let me take guitar lessons, but I carried around a broken Flying V for a year. Sad. So close, yet so far away.

Dude is a straight up warlock, so glad to have been able to see him live 3 times, first was in CA in 1996. Virtuoso, plays multiple instruments, and a great guy. Hope to see him live this year if he goes out on the road, probably not til 2022

Most people didnt know Buckethead in 96. I heard of Buckethead back in 92 in guitar player rag. But I never listened to him until 2000 when a friend of mine kept telling me you gotta hear Buckethead. He played colma' I loved immediatly it was different, peacful and nessesary. Before that I actually tried learning a guitar piece on a monthly page in a guitar rag. Chicken picking stuff in tab, but it was totally out of key .Years later when I first got into Buckethead after colma, a lot of stuff I heard from Buckethead was deliberately out of key, especially during the 90s. Or Atari music for video games.It seems like Buckethead never really played straight forward rock metal until 2000s. Now it sounds like soundtrack metal(I like it); not everything he does but stuff I like anyways. I could be wrong but a lot of his 1990s chasin hynie, also sounds like the old games centipede, galaga, astroids. I swear he's the first before anyone thought of it. Some Guitarist play game music nothing else. One (Najvis uni) is absolutely terrifying
