Once again my fav game genre was opened to the main stream audience and what a way to do it too, nothing but love for larian. To the people that might avoid it for the sake of being turn based seriously just give it a chance 🖤
totally agreed, but although the story is not the best, you placed the characters inside presentation, i think one of the biggest reason for the success are how well developed are the characters. everyone has a most beloved character that you genuinely feel that you are doing stuff because of them and not you.... that is fucking incredible.
for me this character is karlach, I don't think any other character will ever capture my heart as she did
Have a nice day, Good Sir. God bless.
This game made me glade to be alive ❤
I don't think BG3 will change anything other than establishing Larian as the new Blizzard (well the Diablo 2, World of Warcraft era Blizzard anyways). BG3 is just too difficult, too risky to pull off and we, the gamers don't have any leverage on game studios to take that kinda risk and make more BG3 like games. That being said, I will look forward to the next Larian game. I also will look at all their past games after I'm done playing BG3. Which might take me another year easily ...
So pessimistic… there will always be a new Larian, and there will always be a new Blizzard. Our job is just to reward the correct one. Right now, Larian did its job, and did it well, and industry change was brought by us, who rewarded BG3 by choosing to play it.
It was a finished product on release
Act 3 has entered the chat
Not sure if it would change the industry. Larian was able to produce this fantastic game because they were not beholden to big investors with maximizing profit over quality. They could take their time in crafting something special instead of having to push this out to try to meet some artificial quarterly profit expectation. Most AAA studios are not here to make games.. they're here to make a buck.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 wasn't successful? Bruh, it was one of the Top10 most successful games of 2017 on Steam. 2017 was one of the craziest years in gaming packed with amazing games like for example Persona 5, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nier: Automata, Horizon: Zero Dawn
I didn't say it wasn't good. But it was nowhere near top money wise
@@Nyxson Might be because it didn't include Microtransactions, but it was the third best selling game on Steam in 2017 with a Metascore from both the critics and the players above 90. I wouldn't call that unsuccessful.
How the Black PS Vita 1,000 Oled vid going coming on, Good Sir?

I really don't know what more do you want me to say about it
@@Nyxson. Good things, Good Sir. Have a nice day.
ah yes, Baldut's Gate 😆
I love balduts gate
It fell a little flat for me because the characters and dialogue were too cringe for my tastes, but I'd like similar games, but different writers.
It didn’t
Agree to disagree ❤️
The sad thing is that Skyrim is still considered one of the best rpg games. Baldurs Gate 3 has the most build variety, and different options for races and classes that makes your character unique. In Skyrim all your characters feel the same, since there are no classes and you can be a mage, thief and warrior at the same time.
Too early to tell
@@thomasrosendahl2783 , I’m not fond of Skyrim, and TES games overall, either…
@@acev3521 , it’s more obviously early to tell it did
I just wish it wasn't a turn based game. That just ruined it for me.
1st.
did it? didnt notice, i played the game for 5 hours and quit, bored me
So your opinion dont matter, because a minimum playthrough takes 100 hours to experience most of the game. Checkmate and goodbye
I've been at this shit for almost 60 hours, the combat is boring I try to avoid it as much as possible, the camera angles are atrocious and if you want the story to really be impacted by the player You have to keep save scuming all the time, apart from the some attacks giving a critical error with a 95 chance to hit I will finish the game but I will certainly not play again😅
@@Siilk70 most of you are the minority stop playing the game on balanced mode and play on explorer mode which is super easy it makes it slight faster because of player buffs you get for playing on super easy mode
While the game has its merits, it's hardly 'the best game ever'. It's a big nerdy turn-based dnd experience, very bulky, requires lots of extra knowledge and googling. You can't just start playing it and learn everything you need in-game. That's a big flaw for a mass entertainment product.
Really?! Didn't google a single thing and didn't feel extra nerdy too. Yes, it's requires a little more time to learn but nothing extraordinary
@@Nyxson you're probably more experienced with this type of games. I got my playthrough almost soft-locked because I killed the moron druid who attacked me in goblin keep, and I see no reason to pursue any of the 'tadpole removal' leads because of my ethereal supervisor's advice which I chose to believe. This left me with zero active quests. I had to google what to do next and realized I had to go to the Underdark, which, again, I had to google how to get to.
And this is not the exhaustive list of my problems with this game!
@im_piano Well, my experience is actually limited with Divinity Original Sin games, in this genre. But to be fair, I rarely even look in the quest log, I just wander and explore everything and progress that way… I guess it's not about an experience, it is about the gameplay style
@@Nyxson, I’d say even some quality "casual" games like Witcher 3 and MGS are better than BG3 overall… not to mention other cRPGs like the classic isometric ones, previous Larian games, even Storms of Zehir for NWN2
Yes, but BG3 still has the most options for different builds depending on which subrace, background and subclass you pick. In Witcher 3 you always play as Geralt the typical spellsword, and Skyrim all the races feels the same without tons of mods.
