Its Chevy gang or no gang we own a 2007 tahoe and Suburban and I recently got a 2016 chevy silverado. My suburban has been my fault driver for 8 years and had 243k on it and id drive it anywhere. So far I love my silverado and hope to in the furture purchase another Tahoe for the wife. 5.3 can't be beat
Not a fan of this particular Silverado I dont like the interior but you cant go wrong with the 5.3 just an awesome all around engine not the most powerful but not the weakest more reliable than anything I got 224k on my 2000 5.3.
Would like to see you do a side by side comparison of the Silverado or Sierra with the F150 (comparable trim levels, etc.).
Double cabs look like a crew cab got kicked in the ass
Great video....I love my chevy
You forgot Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500 & optional 1500 trucks have the Eaton G80 auto rear locking differential!
Can you one day do a review of the 2016 Chevrolet Impala?
Fan
i kind of like the old design better... but with the GMC sierra i like the new one better.
Jrion LOL, you stalked my profile to find my last comment, you creep.
justin bouche Please, you're no where near that important.
Heres a though dumb fuck, maybe we just both subscribed to the same channel and I just happened to run into your dumbass post, for the last time thankfully.
Where's the ash tray and beer holder?
2015 design is better. Chevy is trying to make their trucks more car like. It is okay until a certain point and I think they passed that point.
Agreed! The 16's are a joke
***** I agree! All I need in a truck is a radio, power locks and windows and a comfortable seat. I don't need touch screen navigation and all that crap.
+GP9railfan agreed.. Fuck this year.
39,000 dollars for a 2 wheel drive truck is outrageous! Look at the cloth seats, what happened to soft nice looking velour, like my 2000 Sierra had. These seats, in which GM is not alone by the way, look like the base work truck seats from 10yrs ago. Also, GM uses an All Aluminum front suspension on there 1/2 ton 4x4's, which aren't as durable as steel. On the good side they haven't been ditching their V8's, for smaller turbo's with less reliability and longevity like Ford has. But I'd take the F-150's steel front suspension over GM's.
The Z71's are the only ones with forged aluminum control arms. All others use forged steel upper and lower control arms. The 2014 and older F150 used a stamped steel lower and forged steel upper. For 2015, F150's switched over to stamped steel for both upper and lower control arms. Probably for weight reduction. I'd take forged steel over stamped steel any day.
I'm not calling you a liar, but I have periodically stopped at the local GM dealer and looked at the 1/2 ton 4x4's front suspension. All models had obvious Aluminum upper and lower control arms. But three days ago I stopped and looked at a 2016 Z71, and it had what appeared to be steel control arms. I didn't have a magnet, but there appeared to be rust on the unpainted part where it attaches to the frame. I hope GM went back to steel, especially for 4x4's where off road durability really counts.
Los abanicos no se paran que puedo aser
Could please do a 2016 ford f250
1. You bobbled the word efficiency.
2. Doesn't the 2016 have an 8 speed automatic on V8 trucks?
+Gabriel Mejia Sorry got bobbling the word lol and yes it does but only available on certain trim levels, this one has a 6-Speed Automatic however
only the ltz and high country models have the 8 speed
Push button ignition is not available in the Silverado until 2019
My gmc elevation edition 19 city 26 highway
can u do a review of the corvette
is this 1LT?
You should look a little more into what the trucks have. The 16s with v8s all come with 8 speeds.
That is an incorrect statement sir, the higher end trims (LTZ/High Country) come with 8-Speeds however our model has the 6-Speed
I went to the Chevy dealership to check out the 16s and even the base trucks with 5.3s had 8 speeds. Maybe you are confused and think the 4.3 is a v8..
Gerardo Linares Here it is coming from Chevrolet themselves "For 2016, the new 8-speed automatic transmission that is standard on 6.2L-equipped Silverados will be standard on LTZ, LTZ/Z71 and High Country Silverados with the 5.3L V-8" media.chevrolet.com/media/us/en/chevrolet/home.detail.html/content/Pages/news/us/en/2015/sep/0924-silverado.html
My 2016 Silverado 2LT 1500 2wd, 5.3 has a 6 speed.
Ik this is late but my 17 5.3 has a 6 speed
stop talking about the aluminum tin can fords like they are good. in 5 years they are going to have huge recalls due to galvanic corrosion. they already have about 60k recalls
+Aaron Kellar you do know that high end lux cars have been using aluminum bodies, not to mention jets. May not want to be so absolute with your prediction.
Michael Shelnutt yes and high end luxury cars arent being driven in -40C with extremely salty roads or being driven on logging roads.
+Aaron Kellar as that is most likely true, arent jets srayed with salt water to de-ice them? And besides it is an alloy so not pure aluminum. Only time will tell. But to be clear are you anti aluminum, or anti Ford?
Michael Shelnutt aluminum alloy literally means nothing, as the alloy is probably magnesium or something... it is still soft, incredibly soft actually, it will still face the issue of galvanic corrosion where the cab is mounted. trust me im a welder, studied metallurgy. personally i dont like ford, but i dont hate them. i dont hate aluminum either, but trucks and aluminum cant go together. the 700 pounds they will save in weight wont mean anything once the defects start coming out
+Aaron Kellar GM is coming with Aluminum in 2018, just so you know. By the way, fighter jets have been aluminum for a long time...so its not "new", except for trucks.
Im buying one as soon as i get home to Reno. No bull shit
Okay, this is a nice car but it's so expensive in Australia. A 2016 model is around $157,000 :/
Wow ! :/
Wynter Searle-Albert WHAT?!?!
Wynter Searle-Albert I'D RATHER GET A MERCEDES MAYBACH WITH THAT MUCH MONEY
Do a gmc savana
Ugly front clip. No thanks. Put it back the way it was!
I'm a Chevy guy but the last good looking Chevy 1500 was in 2013
As always, good review. But God that truck is ugly!!
get rid of the rear view camera, the only thing thats good for is hookin up to a trailer
that shifter looks so flimsy as shit! i prefer the older 90s shifters to that or the ford shifter
It's not flimsy
Ugliest truck on the market, what a shame. Chevy should get rid of the square wheel wells and cheap chrome details for starters, what an eye sore! Interior looks brutal. I use to be a Chevy guy for years but they fell way behind and lost me as a customer.
