Oct-Nov 2022 I was on the Edge Rome to Ft. Lauderdale. Loved it. Especially the four dining rooms. I rotated through them like clockwork and never got tired of the food.
We pay the extra to be in a suite for a couple reasons. Luminae is the biggest one. After one day, our waiters knew our names, favorite cocktails, and the food....OMG, it was never less than incredible. The room is 50% bigger, I love the lounge and Retreat deck. For me, it's worth the extra to enjoy everything 'Retreat'. Also, Eden was just dining. It was a dining experience. We'll be on Edge May for a 12 day Mediterranean cruise and can't wait!
I really appreciate your insight! Thank you for sharing. I would love to hear what you think of the Edge on your upcoming sailing. Im really excited for you. Especially because of 12 days at Luminae! That should be fantastic. Have a wonderful trip and let me know how it goes if you find some time. PS. Can I ask you for a huge favor? It's a long shot but maybe you can be my personal hero! I am trying to get in contact with the Food and Beverage Director of the Edge. His name is Martin Gazovic. He has my cell phone number but I don't happen to have his. Long story short, If you see him and could possibly ask him to message "Tom from UA-cam", i would be in debt to you forever. Either way thanks for all of your comments. I enjoy chatting with you. Have a great trip!
Great review. I'm on the Ascent in March. Did you like Le Voyage? Would you still recommend Le Petite Chef for the food alone if you're not interested in the 3D animation?
Thank you. Im glad you enojyed the review. I actually have an entire video dedicated to Le Voyage. Check it out when you have time. Le Petite Chef does have very good food. Its surprising. I like the animations but its a gimmick. If you are getting a dining package and will visit all of the restaurants, then its a good choice. If you have limited visits to specialty dining on board, I would pick Le Voyage and Eden over Le Petit Chef. Those 2 are much better in my opinion.
I just came back from the Beyond. Also did Aqua and ate at Blu every night. I have the video if you are interested. My cruise menu at Blu was very different from the main dining room. I wonder why we have such different experience. Thanks for sharing your opinion Bill!
The free included food looks great here. I live in a major metropolitan city so I don't really "need" the highest end cuisine on a cruise as I have as good or better at home. That said, Le Petite Chef looks like fun.
Le Petit Chef is a lot of fun. There are multiple menus available as well. Usually, one show at start and a different one towards the end of your cruise. Le Petit Chef is an 8/10. However, my suggestion is to try Eden as well. It's by far one of the best restaurants I ever ate at. I'm from NYC and a big foodie. Trust me, try Eden at least once!
Nice overview. Haven’t been on a Celebrity ship yet. Next time, please be more specific about what you liked and didn’t like (such as buffet late night snacks). Also, if you’re going to show the menu, please stay on it long enough and clear enough to read. I look forward to more of your videos. Maybe an in-depth look at Petite Chef?
Hi Brad, thank you for you compliments and suggestions. Noted. I will do that in the next set of videos. My next set od content will be centered around cruise tips, do's and don'ts and a few other things. Deeper look into Le Petit Chef is a good idea. I will add that to my list of videos after I come back from the Celebrity Beyond. I have tons of videos planned for that cruise. Nice to meet you btw!
It will most definitely be an upgrade. Carnival is stepping up their game in terms of food but Celebrity is a step above in buffet, MDR and paid dining venues.
Hi there! You are in luck. I just came back from the Beyond. I have several videos giving you tour of your Aqua room, the spa suites and full review of Blu. Check out some of the latest videos I put out. I hope you enjoy your cruise. If you have any other questions, let me know. Cheers!
@@tomsunday Thanks Tom,I'm going in a week,so may not see your vlogs. Like you,I'm a foodie and can't say I've been wowed in the MDR,s overall. Would you say Blu is a 👍🏼 or a 👎🏻? Thanks!😆
@@iloveanimals1662 The videos are already made. They are below if you have time to watch before your cruise. Overall if you paid for Aqua, I would go to Blu everyday for both breakfast and dinner. Before trying to sound clever in the comments, you need to make sure you actually listen to the commentary. I had a hard time finding pizza, Steven. Not the area it was served in. Its pretty obvious where it was. Especially since I show it to you in the video. However, it rarely had any pizza there. Thus my comment. Maybe you should listen to the video so that its not so difficult for you to understand!!!
@@tomsunday lol oh man. Worth it iam sure. Whats interesting for me, if a restaurant there made you tear up... I can't wait too see what Blu is like on your next trip! I like your girls nail polish also.
@Connor McLaughlin thanks my friend. I can't wait to review Blu. I'm going to make a full video just on that restaurant. Comparing breakfast,.lunch and dinner to the rest of the venues on the ship. I'm really interested to see if it's worth the extra Aqua class room charge.
The point of this video is to give my review of the Celebrity Edge dining venues. You can look up the menus easily with one google search. You dont need a video for that, Joe. You should consider these things before posting silly comments. Work on that!
Was on the Edge in February 2023; highly disappointed in the Quality and serving portion size. Ocean View Cafe was pitiful for dinner. A great attempt to cut the food budget and lose guests. Worst food on a cruise ever and have done over 50 cruises since 2001.

Great review.. I'm hungry. Ill eat breakfast, lunch and multiple dinners. Just saying.
We need to cruise together!
I've done Aqua class and Blue was just smaller portions of what you got on the MainDining room. Smaller portions are nice sometimes.

For Cruise, I am use to old Carnival cuisine. This will probably be an upgrade.

What was the date of the sailing? 2022 or 2023?
Hi Wendy. I sailed in mid December of 2022.
Awesome review! I agree about The Retreat and Blu restaurants. Very snob of Celebrity.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, Gloria!
