I'm doing a Canadian themed Votann army and I am eternily greatful for these tutorials, basically the right stuff just needed some tweaks to add in some more white to it but this makes it SO much easier
Excellent tutorial and such a beautiful result. I'm planning to run Ymyr and will definitely be using these techniques. The work up of the red was superb and the final application of black on the discs broke up the red quite beautifully.
I watched your kahl video to learn how to do the paint scheme I wanted. Really happy to see this one as well. I'm a little intimidated by painting the bags and little details on 6 of these bikes, so thanks for the video
Man that looks amazing. I can't wait to get a look at the codex and see the other color schemes but I'm telling you, that red is fantastic. After all my Imperial Fists it might be nice to paint something red.
Nice. Once again confirming half my issues with LoV was the color scheme we saw.....still not a fan of the street sweeper and would prefer actual wheels or maybe half track.
Really love your collors ! Really curious about how you will paint the warrior ! Also could you put a list of all the paint needed to make this color scheme ? I might need to buy some new one before i get the box set
(heya! Satan81 here!) I'm surprised they didn't include this hover trike in the new Cinderak Burning campaign book for Necromunda, but maybe it's coming in the next one. Seems an obvious add. +1 vote for "oomph"!
Well hello sir. Hope to see you on stream later. I think they just like keeping the two worlds separate. We for sure will get an amaizng squat vehicle at some point soon. They have to.
Heya! I should be able to pop in today's stream chat for a bit. :) As for keeping the worlds separate, on one hand they've drawn a clear line between Kill Team and Necromunda, but on the other hand you can use over half the product line for the 40K Genestealer Cults in Necromunda, including all the vehicles. So who the heck knows. Just give Necromunda the hover trike already! :D
Oomph could be your thing lol. I buying a Voltann box set for my buddy. What point size would you say the box is? Also will you be painting any other Voltann factions in the future?
Looks stunning, I love how the panels aren't standard blocks or angled like all the other factions. Does a rounded surface make it tough to keep the shadows or is it more about figuring out how much you want the light to be hitting it at that point?
Great video as always. Have you considered putting a visual effect for the hover disc's? Seeing a blue or green "glow" coming from them to illustrate the hover effect might kick the model up another level. My local game store said that Carroburg Crimson isn't available anymore, is there another shade/wash that you could suggest to give a similar result?
For me it’s all about having quite a lot of contrast on my brush so your kind of pushing around a pool of paint Instead of scraping the paint like other types.
@@area609joe2 Yes for sure! My tutorials are about showing you how to paint things fast and effectively in general, not just the models shown in specific videos! If you have any questions just let me know!
Great work dude, you're really making the decision on which Voltann colour scheme to go for that much easier. That red looks amazing
Ha thanks pal.

Please post them somewhere and tag them so I can see them, they sound so cool! Glad I could help with the project!
Well done. :)
Cheers dude.
You are quickly becoming my favourite, youtube, miniature painter! Another fantastic tutorial and painting job.
That is very high praise. Thank you so much.
Nice job
Cheers.
Thanks for these vids they’re super helpful! Keep them coming!
That’s great to hear, thanks so much! The infantry video will be out tomorrow!
Amazing video. Watching you work on these is making me excited to get my set this weekend!
That’s great to hear pal. It’s such a nice set to get stuck into.
you can use "impact" instead of "oomph" though could use a tactical "zing!" too.
Hahahah tactical zing. Love it.
Definitely agree with adding the black to it.
Really looking forward to seeing more of these
Yep the black really helped. Thanks for the support.
Love the simplicity of these schemes
Thanks pal. That’s the whole idea of the channel. To make easy to Follow videos.
I’m new to the channel and new to Warhammer. Your videos are my go to reference for most of the stuff I’m painting.
Well welcome in pal. Glad you find my channel helpful. Thank you so much.

Thank you pal. Glad you found it helpful and yes I’m so glad I did the black.

No worries pal. Glad it helped.
your guides are helping me out so much as a beginner, thank you so much!
That so great to hear. Thank you.
You have to make 'oomph' your catchphrase now.
Hahaha your not the first person to say.
Adding an "oomph" to the comments, for the algorithm.
Haha thanks pal.
Looks great Andy congrats on hitting 18k subs
Appreciate that pal.
I like the fact that they keep their gear pristine. It's a nice contrast from your Heresy-era battle damage.
Ye I agree it’s nice painting things nice. If that makes sence.
Man that looks amazing. I can't wait to get a look at the codex and see the other color schemes but I'm telling you, that red is fantastic. After all my Imperial Fists it might be nice to paint something red.
Thanks pal. And ye for sure taking breaks from colours is a real thing and a great way to work on new schemes.
Ooomph!
I’m gonna have to make merch now right? 😄
Great video as ever. What do you use for varnish? Finding it hard to get the sweet spot of not too matt and not too glossy.
I don’t varnish models for that exact reason I don’t like the finish.
I want to paint them like some cog in gears of war
That would be sick.
Nice. Once again confirming half my issues with LoV was the color scheme we saw.....still not a fan of the street sweeper and would prefer actual wheels or maybe half track.
Ye I get that. I’m a fan but I’m a bit of a fanboy most of the time.
Oomph!
:D
Awesome video. can we see the Hearthyn Warriors next. Cant wait to paint thesethis weekend. Any tips for painting all 20 at once?
The warriors are indeed next. Now that I’ve painted one up. I’d say do them in 4 batches of 5. They do have a lot of detail for such small models.
Really love your collors !
Really curious about how you will paint the warrior !
Also could you put a list of all the paint needed to make this color scheme ? I might need to buy some new one before i get the box set
Yes I can do a list for sure, will add it in it here later and will have it in description for the warrior video which will be posted tomorrow!
Added the list in description!
For the "wheels" I did a little change , I used Turbo Fork "six shooter" to get a special detail
Oh that sounds nice.
(heya! Satan81 here!)

Oomph could be your thing lol. I buying a Voltann box set for my buddy. What point size would you say the box is? Also will you be painting any other Voltann factions in the future?
It’s about 600 points in the box and I may paint up some more in the future.
Looks stunning, I love how the panels aren't standard blocks or angled like all the other factions. Does a rounded surface make it tough to keep the shadows or is it more about figuring out how much you want the light to be hitting it at that point?
Ye more about the amount of light hitting the top then the shadows underneath for sure.
Aww crap I was worried these would be tricky for sub assembly....ah well paint rider prime bike on sprue assemble bike it is. Thanks for the heads up.
Ye that mite be for the the way to go. And happy birthday pal.
@@MediocreHobbies ....birthday is later this week....how did you know? 🤔 and thank you ofcourse.
I used reikland fleshshade not crimson. And yes I for sure want to do some form of glow on the grav bits. Just not sure what yet.
@@MediocreHobbies I understand this was reiklands fleshshade, was more asking as a general question. 😅
Did you water down/thin you mephiston / evil sun layer paint?
Most of them time I paint with the air versions of those paints so I guess yes
I love this colour scheme, just wondering how many points come in the box?
Around 600 before you start giving them upgrades I believe
Ye around 600 as stated below.
Oomph
Hahaha for sure.
Hey man you undercoat how do you get it this way is it a black spray with then a zenith spray over it or more all over gray
More all over grey.
So would be all black and then all most all Grey
i noticed you always have a nice even coat of contrast going on the model. that is something I am having trouble with. what could I be doing wrong?
For me it’s all about having quite a lot of contrast on my brush so your kind of pushing around a pool of paint Instead of scraping the paint like other types.
What brushes are you using?
Gamesworkshop
for the algorithm
Thanks pal.
@@MediocreHobbies trying to get my girlfriend to watch with me. I assume some of these techniques can be applied to other outlets?
