BSF it sure makes the recovery easier when you don't have to worry about scratches and dents on the recovered vehicle. Thanks for sharing and stay safe 👍
Eric in my opinion Big Bob did really good you guys definitely got creative but the most important thing is that you got it out. This was a fun video to watch.
The last two repair shops i visited and had to wait in the lobby both had smart tvs. Guess what i left playing on both of em when i got to leave? BSF RECOVERY! spreading the word one smart tv at a time :)
Eric y'all did a Awesome job and I know y'all have had some crazy weather up there and y'all stay safe and warm up there from western North Carolina here
A bridal on the front of the towed vehicle makes the steering much easier, especially in snow or mud. A center pulling point on big bob would also help. You got him out ! That is what counts.
To the Raptor driver I live in Utah Snow 🥶 Problem is your to "Heavy" on the power it does not help. Just easy on power is always best. Oh and Rubicon Jeep shop rags are extremely flammable.
Man, Abbie sounded like an alien, when she gave the weather report! Bob sure got LOUD, when the exhaust came off! And, I will not be buying a 4x4 Raptor, ever.
good job built a old d2 to do this kind of work 30plus yrs ago a tall boy ford wrecker sbc motor stick no auto to fail and a few other prog all setting over twenty yrs now back when we got 4/5 ft of snow
Nice job!! Took a bit of doing but you guys did a great job. Getting it unstuck was the easy part!! That trip out took some work and a second skid loader but it all worked out pretty good!!
Big Bob had the power but could have used a tad more traction to pull the wrecker. Those twisty trails might be great excuse for a short rope and a slightly elevated hook to Big Bob to transfer some of the wrecker weight to the drive wheels and shorten the turning a little.
Holy batman! Good job, alot of work! I have a 570 for the acreage it is awsome on flat ground. I wouldn't even think of a snow recovery! Gett'r done haha 😄
I had to stop at 11:50 to comment. The recovery would have gone a lot easier if they could steer the broken wrecker correctly. I don't understand why they where steering it in the opposite direction of the turn!!
I enjoyed the video. I am here from Matts because of your 'Golden Ticket'. I have viewed and enjoyed your YT postings - especially those in the Moab area. I live in DEEP SNOW country (think of big$$ ski resorts and the 2002 Olympics) in northern Utah. My simple question is, why do you have a blade/bucket on the front of Big Bob instead of a front-mounted auger-blower attachment for clearing snow on this recovery? In my neighborhood the blower trumps a blade. HOWEVER, I HAVE LIVED long enough to realize that not all snow conditions, nor all winters, nor all locations, nor all recovery situations are the same as (around here vs. ______ fill in the blank). I have tickets to the Wrecker Games and am looking forward to greeting you at the 'top of the hill' Semper Gumby !
I was just wondering if he could still have used his winches if he needed to? Something on the Raptor doesn't sound too good when it was changing directions.
For the chevy 4x4 off road wrecker that needs a new transmission a call to jasper engines and transmissions can always come in handy as well for a rebuild a good transmission and transfer cases they can always help out at anytime
Raptors aren't made for snow , or sand for that matter ! Unless you have momentum and don't stop. I can think of a few things I could spend a hundred or so grand on ! How bout you guys / girls ? Love the vids ! Keep em coming and just maybe I'll see you in the woods !!
_"It's like trying to steer a slippery fish."_ 🤦♂️😂😂😂
Couldn't have said it better
I love that rear steer
BSF it sure makes the recovery easier when you don't have to worry about scratches and dents on the recovered vehicle. Thanks for sharing and stay safe 👍
When everyone else fails you sucseed well done. Excellent viewing. Your a star.
Bob was definitely the one to done that with I feel bad for him lost a transmission and a tire that was a great recovery
That is Teamwork. That is community!
Pulling in soft sand on a daily basis, I have found that a bridle pulling from both sides on the towed vehicle makes the job 10 times easier.
What a caravan!! What an operation!! More fun watching than being there this time. Great video! Glad there were no more fires!!
Eric in my opinion Big Bob did really good you guys definitely got creative but the most important thing is that you got it out. This was a fun video to watch.

Great Recovery!
I would venture a guess that the Raptor still had 35 psi in the tires. If he had aired down he would have been fine.
Typical Ford...always in the way!
Thats what I was thinking too.
Or just lightened up on the gas pedal and rocked it back and forth a bit for momentum.
Awesome recovery. Big Bob did great out there in the snow.
That raptor was having a heck of a time getting through.
Team work makes the dream work!! Great recovery yall
BSF is the real deal!
Nice job guys ... Hope y’all take #1 in the tow truck games
Looks like you two need radios. To keep in contact with the other guy in the skid skeer. So that it would go a little smoother!
Eric y'all did a Awesome job and I know y'all have had some crazy weather up there and y'all stay safe and warm up there from western North Carolina here
Eric, it would be cool to see you do some body work on the wrecker to keep it looking nice. New doors, fenders etc.
BSF = Broke, Stuck & ...Frozen? Poor Eric freezing away, nah, he's just chilling!
The push me pull you operation worked good
the guy in the second Bobcat has mad skills!!!
That was me the owner of the wrecker
A bridal on the front of the towed vehicle makes the steering much easier, especially in snow or mud.
A center pulling point on big bob would also help.
You got him out !
That is what counts.
One heck of a recovery. All sorts of stuff happened . That's what makes it interesting. Hahaha. Good job everyone.
The owner of that off-road tow truck is a savage
that was an awesome recovery. keep the clips coming
It looks like big Bob is the next extreme off road wrecker.
The bobcat behind the tow truck looks like a robot from Wally cleaning up the dirt
Abby sure has grown. Before you know it she will be running the business.
"Teach them when they are young and they will never forget."
That's a fact, 👍🏻reality is in the making. 🇺🇸
good job built a old d2 to do this kind of work 30plus yrs ago a tall boy ford wrecker sbc motor stick no auto to fail and a few other prog all setting over twenty yrs now back when we got 4/5 ft of snow
Job well done everyone 👍. Your equipment sure does get a good bit of hard use but I guess that's why you have it.
Nice job!! Looked like you did good 👍👍! I'm jealous, looks like Chico's!! Great place!
Good recovery
Looks like some Great fun by all.
Thanks Eric..
Great video and great job
This was a exciting recovery a couple stuck vehicles even a fire, doughnuts and a slippery fish
Good recovery Eric
That's why both my wreckers are manual trans with a external cooler and HD clutch..
Nice job!! Took a bit of doing but you guys did a great job. Getting it unstuck was the easy part!! That trip out took some work and a second skid loader but it all worked out pretty good!!
That was a tough pull, and I swear cold weather and deep snow are harder on equipment than any other type of 4 wheeling.
Great job BSF. Looks quite cold there.
That wrecker driver sure didn't know how to keep his wheels straight (to help you) and not plow down the road.
Made me think back to the recovery of that S-10 in the swamp. That was the first video of yours that I watched.
Watching a few of these off road recovery shows I always wondered what happens when one of them break down. Now I know 👍
Lucky it was only a rag , I mis diagnosed that one I thought it was cause the radiator cap was connected to a Chrysler product... my bad lol
Big Bob had the power but could have used a tad more traction to pull the wrecker. Those twisty trails might be great excuse for a short rope and a slightly elevated hook to Big Bob to transfer some of the wrecker weight to the drive wheels and shorten the turning a little.
Great recovery two in one, dosent look like that Ford Raptor was much use, dam, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Raptor still needs good tires. OEM tires will not work in snow like that.
Remind me to never eat Camera Man Gene's toast! I hear it tastes like burning gloves! 🤣😂🤣
How do you like your toast? Singed, caramelized, or burnt to a crisp? Lol
Look! The wreckers twin lol! Wisconsin winters have to be cold
I think my lowered blazer would do about as good in the snow as the raptor did 😂😂
Thats definitely a definitely type of recovery not often seen here
Nice recovery.
Rubber track over the wheels for big bob will add to the brute power of Bob.
Holy batman! Good job, alot of work! I have a 570 for the acreage it is awsome on flat ground. I wouldn't even think of a snow recovery!
Gett'r done haha 😄
Thanks 👍
I just think it's awesome everyone can watch each other's videos and learn from their mistakes.
That raptor needs to lose some tire pressure...
Bob is a beast !
I had to stop at 11:50 to comment. The recovery would have gone a lot easier if they could steer the broken wrecker correctly. I don't understand why they where steering it in the opposite direction of the turn!!
l love your video nice job guys👍👍
Never thought I'd see a recovery in Milaca. There is a place there with the best mexican food. Drove right past my house on the way :)
Good job way to get it done
For a second I thought they said rat when they found the burning rag!
Big bob definitely got a workout!
Awesome chain up the bobcat let’s go get him out. YOU CAN TELL A MAN WITH A PLAN!!!
Great team work
That Ford Raptor should have just stayed in the parking lot.😁😁
I always love an uncle donut, just wish they were open more.
Cool video... 👏👏

Eric; what's the status of the "swamp frozen s10"????
13:41 Thank God it was just a shop rag!! 👈
Turbo 400 is a tough trans, but thats why you see most C&C squarebodys with an SM 465.
Need to keep that Raptor on dry pavement......
I was just wondering if he could still have used his winches if he needed to? Something on the Raptor doesn't sound too good when it was changing directions.
Yes the boom winches are powers by the engine and the front is electric.
yall had to work for that one man do i ever love alabama more and more
That was cool only only five miles from my house
For the chevy 4x4 off road wrecker that needs a new transmission a call to jasper engines and transmissions can always come in handy as well for a rebuild a good transmission and transfer cases they can always help out at anytime
I did it myself. Only a th400
That is a good deal on it and GovPlanet and IronPlanet have extra transmissions and transfer cases as well and not to bad from allison
Real nice
Did you say an hour north of the cities is northern Minnesota? That’s far from northern Minnesota
Awesome job 👍👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
where is that trail exactly ,,,,, i was born in milaca

You won't see me in the woods with that much snow!
That would of been cake walk for the wrecker but good job on making do what you have and getting the job done!
Raptor? More like Chickadee!
I believe a shorter rope, hookup would have helped a lot. Got em out.
raptor on streat pressure?
That raptor had no business even being out there. Perfect example of money can't buy skill.
Chevy with a wrecker body, looks like he wants to be you? LOL
That raptor needs better tires for the snow the ones on there are all right for dirt but not the snow also way to to much air pressure in them.
Missed chance for a competition: Wheels vs. tracks on the skid steer.😉
Eric, if you ever need a hand out central Minnesota-way, I'm near Staples/Motley area.
Good to know
I lived in leader for a bit. Needed at least ¼ tank before leaving town just to have enough make it back.
@@lucaskuczek went to the pig races last summer. that was a blast!
We were there for the gambler 500 2 years ago.
Where are the chains?
If I had the chance to buy a bob cat it would be tracked wheeled ones get stuck so much easier
Do you ever air down your tires when in the sand like snow?
Yes, amount changes with snow conditions, but always lower.
Why does the guy in the tow truck keep his wheels turned does He not know to keep them straight
So has the Raptor guy realize that he needs to go get him a Jeep yet
He did mention that at lunch after the recovery
I know one remedy how to pull it out. Saving bringing a lot of equipment. Bombardier S-Model Muskeg Carrier.😄
All the horsepower in the world means nothing unless you can get it to the ground.
How many good trucks can you buy for the price of a Ford Raptor?
