You know... Dark vs Oliveira sort of has become my fave series. It's like watching two masters knife fighting. In a phone booth. Blindfolded. Starts out technical, feeling, poking, prodding and then it devolves into a full out slaughterhouse where you're not quite sure who's winning until one falls on the floor fully sliced'n'diced. Peak fun.
Oliveira still so underrated despite proving that he is capable of deafeating litterally anyone. His game is becoming more and more consistent. Promising tournaments ahead.
Dark is the only SC2 pro who: 1. has in mind that, at the end of day, esports is "entertainment" to viewers. 2. actually is able to blend in entertainment at the very top level. Hats off
true, even with how he talks / handles his public persona feels sort of like a WWE wrestler meshed with a pro-gamer with the massive added bonus that the fights are decided ahead of time
7:42 was INSANE lol. Oliveira’s killer instinct is just unmatched. Remembering he had killed the scouting Overlords with his BC and just going for it. Seriously cannot believe how hard he turned it around and got back in the game.
The double medivac fake hit right when Dark's supply blocked - imagine Dark hearing spawn more Overlord while facing a Terran drop. He's so pinned, that from 55:40 to 56:40 Dark's been sitting a whole minute at home, wondering where the actually non-existing marines are. And the zergling probes sent at 56:40 is also amusing, he desperately wants map intel. WHERE ARE THEY. 56:58 was also very unlucky for him too, the main roach army patrolled away the moment before the terran entered visual range. Had these units stayed close to the 4th Hatch for just a few more seconds that game could have been very different.
That's your motherfuckin world champion. Never shook, never nervous. All problems can be solved with the right combination of stim Bio and enough siege tanks.
"Welcome...where I take an arguably inappropriate amount of pleasure in introducing to you..." Love the opening line😂 will be smashing the like button!
Actually, Oliveras Fake Drop Medivac saves him that game and a comeback. If he stall that medivac at the base he will be wrecked the moment dark attacks
Oliveira doesn't do the impeccable real-time splits like Clem, but I think he doesn't get enough credit for being really good and consistent at target firing banes.
Well, that is because while they are warping away they can be attacked. If you can attack them while they are warping in, then you would technically be able to attack the same battlecruiser from two different locations.
Would you say (spoiler alert) for the 1st game, that when Oliveira F2ed his entire army and left his base in the middle of the map unprotected for a few seconds... would you say this error was critical for the result of game 1?
I think dark had too much stuff. Entrenching vs mass broodlords in that situation was doomed in my opinion, dark was just chipping at his ec9nomy while loosing nothing. Imo instead of mass thors he should have made few thors and bio for defence and a couple of battlecruisers to force dark on two fronts, tonhave a chance to relieve the stress onnthat base.
@@Santisima_Trinidad lol, no way, ghosts actually get countered easily. Imagine having what's essentially a snipe that works on every unit? That's abduct. Imagine being able to have a single unit that can obliterate a mass group of weak units, or turn your own frontline against you? That's infestors.
@@GameFuMaster yes, yes, I'm aware, I make the same arguments when people say ghosts are overpowered, but snipe actually does damage, abduct doesn't, and EMP just invalidates every other spellcaster in the game, plus wipes 100 shields from protoss units. Very strong, many say overpowered, but fungal exists and is also overpowered, and thus there is balance. Asymmetric balance, but balance.
@@Santisima_Trinidad snipe can be interrupted, has a cast time, and you can run out of its range. Abduct may do not damage, but it's pretty much a death sentence when it's used. No one's going to abduct when there's nothing to follow up on it. That would be like using EMP on spellcasters that already have no energy.

Gruesome visuals but I love it
It's like two guys trying to drown the other in a big after losing their limbs. Then being caught by a crocodile and ripped to shreds
@@griffincoccari9396 To shreds, you say?
@@MrGeorgeFlorcus 😂
Oliveira's first reaction to danger isn't fear, it's trying to rip out his opponent's jugular. It's always incredible to watch, even when he fails.

Oliveira is back! I love watching him play when he's in good for like this, so fun to watch. And up against dark, what a series.
Thay game three scan into confident attack was so awesome. The tanks converting and the battle instantly turning on the first volley.... *chefs kiss*
I really appreciate you casting the entire series!!! What an ending!

That last fight in Game 3 was brutal.🥶
Rogue-level decisiveness from the winner 🔥🔥🔥
Winter says just hold! All you gotta do is hold. Olivera scans and sends. lol.
"THE BANELINGS... are just wandering back and forth." lmao i laughed so hard

Oliveira hasnt looked that clean lately if memory serves me right, gonna be excited to see how well he does in katowice
Indeed!
Kato Rice.
Holy moly this is how StarCraft was meant to be played. Only in game one and it’s amazing.
What a series! Oliveira showing why he is the current world champion.
This matchup features a normal terrain man doing human things
8:11 - LMAO THE SLOWLINGS
Thank you Winter, you are the best
What a series. The timings and mind games
That fake drop was lit
Game 3 excess medevac fake attack and tank build-up was awesome: great metaphor "use the whole buffalo."
That's your motherfuckin world champion. Never shook, never nervous. All problems can be solved with the right combination of stim Bio and enough siege tanks.
The tank line in the last game was just * chef's kiss *
The last game was 🔥🔥🔥
thumbs up from me. i appreciate your style of casting games and the games that you chose to cast.
Those games were all so dang good.
"Welcome...where I take an arguably inappropriate amount of pleasure in introducing to you..." Love the opening line😂 will be smashing the like button!
That Battlecruiser deserves to be a named unit
Very fun first game, the pause at the Battlecruiser assimilation got me 😂
I'm starting to suspect that Jimmy doesn't really exist and Winter is just talking to empty space.
That fake drop at the end set that whole game up for Oliveira.
“69 drones, nice enough to survive here”
God damnit lmfao winter is a professional boys
Wow, that killer instinct in the last game :D
[superlative] series!
That was masterful! What a match!
another cast lets go!
oliveira gained a fan today those were some beautiful moves
that F2 in the last game had me cackling
Daaaark 💜 thank you Winter
Certainly made my day, a little bit better
That was fantastic
I love your commentary thanks for all that you do
What overlay for replays do you use?? Thx
This series is bonkers.
A normal man with a God of War killer instinct
Jimmy's likes got blown the terran out
that was amazing!
Great games. Nonstop action.
Actually, Oliveras Fake Drop Medivac saves him that game and a comeback. If he stall that medivac at the base he will be wrecked the moment dark attacks
Speechless
Wow Oliveira.. Nice games! Beautiful. It's like watching a master class chess game.
Beautiful!!!!!
Terrans needs to start remembering to get Caduceus Reactor earlier, no point in having a bunch of no energy medivacs
Thank You
Om nom nom
Oliveira doesn't do the impeccable real-time splits like Clem, but I think he doesn't get enough credit for being really good and consistent at target firing banes.
I find Oliveira to be the better Terran of them all. He uses every cards he can to take down his opponents.
That soundtrack from LOTR is a good match with the situation 😂..
Wow wtf. Love watching these two duke it out. Oliveira may be almost as entertaining to watch as Dark!
Awesome games
I am T, but I love Nydus they just give that touch of the Zerg ...
I don’t understand why zergs don’t use infestors faster
Weird that protoss can be attacked while warping in and recalling, but the terran battle cruiser cant be attacked while teleporting in.
Technically the BC isnt there yet but the protoss are materializing there little by little

or do you consider that Dark's economic advantage was already too important for Oliveira to ever come back?

I see battlecruiser I click
I see fusion core, I thumbs up video...well I probably thumbs up it anyway, but...
🔥
World champ for a reason
you know what would be awesome? If I could play starcraft II with more then 60 apm.
how come jimmy hasn't ever been on camera?
Olivera? Is his name not Oliveira?
Not long until he'll be asking for "One Thousand Two Hundred and Two-ty Two-th Likes". 😆
algooooo
your kinda goofy, but i like it.
i think you have some real narrating prospects
I love all the Futurama quotes in all the commentary!
"Ocean madn..." - Winter realizes he quotes Futurama maybe a bit too much.
To shreds you say!
Oliveira is THE champ !! Battlecruiser in the first game is god tier ;))) game 3 is beyond god defense =)) and game 2....
tada
Wow I am early, 8 minutes after drop. Anyways, love you Winter keep up the content!
I like Normal Man games.
gg
Stop Boeing awesone thx
For the algorithm
I agree that Dark is the most entertaining to watch
Gg
Vipers are just so toxic and op
As are ghosts. And thus, perfectly balanced, as all things should be
