    The shelf stable milks are called UHT. They are "ultra high temperate" processed. The other ones do need to be refrigerated

    Subscribed recently and loving all of your very helpful videos/tip/shops advice. I bought some Aldi almond milk recently - so thanks for the maltodextrin tip, will ditch it now. Keep up the great work and videos (now to find your chocolate mousse receep 🙂) xx

    Butter freezes very well. Keep deep in your freezer so temperature remains stable even when you open your freezer. Will keep one to two years. A generator to back-up your freezer is the Keto/Carnivore eaters best friend during any disaster.

      Ghee lasts indefinitely…you can make your own from your butter, no fridge needed!

    A lot of ambient products like mills are kept in the fridges as that is always the customers preference in a superior product, according to the supermarket buyers. I used to be a dairy drinks supplier in a previous career x

    Make ur own almond milk and save the pulp. Dehydrated and re ground, it is almond flour.

    I see these 1kg tubs in your videos a lot. In this video it was the yoghurt tub. Where do you pick that up from? I assume the other tubs have been old yoghurt pots repurposed for storage?

    • @KetoFitnessClub
      @KetoFitnessClub  3 роки тому

      We get our yogurt from Aldi, Lidl, or Morrisons and yes, we save the tubs as they make great storage :)

      Thanks for watching! We tried making almond milk once and it was lovely, but went off too quickly - we don't use enough. We'll look into it again and see if we can come up with a few recipes :)

      I cook with and make smoothies, never has time to go bad around here, I soak 3 cups of almonds over night in filtered water, placed in the fridge,next day or day after, I drain, and put in my blender, along with 5 cups of water (more water if you want a watery texture)…then strain in a milk bag, save pulp and dehydrate, and reprocess to make flour. Once dried and blended again, cook with as any almond flour…you can Blanche your almonds by removing the skins, the “flour” is whiter…we do not mind a darker flour though.

    The Aldi almond milk kept my dad out of ketosis for over a year before we realised.

      Wow. It's so disappointing that they can get away with calling it 'unsweetened' when it has maltodextrin in.

    I found that hard cheese freezes well. But cream and yoghurt do something very weird,
