Hi. I agree with Bob. I admire you too. So calm and casual. Way cool person. I want to have a mural painted on the side of my motor home. I’ll check your website out. ✌🏻🤗🙏
What?? Lindras not married? Come on guys!! Did you not hear her? shes got her own jacks jack stands tools, know how! lived with out heat! lindra your awsome!! Cheers from Canada !!
This woman is amazing. When I was deciding whether to actually travel in my car/ van - I can't remember which one I had back then - instead of just living in it locally, her Instagram posts gave me the motivation to do it. I also reached out to her and asked her about traveling alone and being lonely (prior to that, I was always with a partner). Her response was so caring and self-empowering. Going from living in a vehicle, in one set location, with a partner, to traveling on the road by yourself was an overwhelming challenge for me but seeing her do it empowered me to do it. Plus she's an amazing artist who creates on the road and that was always my dream. I've never met her but she's still one of my favorite people. ❤
❤ I love that she has it figured out. Being able to do your own maintenance is key with some of the older vehicles or you need a really big emergency fund and a good mechanic. Sometimes both if you have aged out of the heavier work... I love this rig for the simplicity. It sounds like she loves her "Work", so she really does not "Work" . What a beautiful person. Thank you for taking the time to bring us a tour and interview.
Awwe thank you so much Anita! Yes doing my own matinence has helped me build a better relationship with myself and my vehicle. I love life and am so greatful for your love and support ❤
I L💜VE this!! I have been self-employed and selling my jewelry at fairs, festivals & concerts in my region for 6 years... A fan of Van Life for even longer.. and I decided at the end of the holiday season last year that 2024 was going to be the year I travel to festivals outside my region and officially dip my toes in VendorVanLife! Of course life laughs at our plans and I don't have a vehicle at the moment but I refuse to let it stop me. I am booking festivals for the summer and renting a van to get there! So I was excited to hear and see someone talking about doing festivals full time while living in their vehicle. It just stoked the fire in my belly to not let any hiccups in my plans deter me from sticking to the goal. To be on the road and fully booked on 2024! Thanks Bob & @LindraParadise! 💜💜
Aww, Lindra is such an angel! She really does radiate 🌟 wonderful human being. It warms my heart to know there are good people like this out on the road🛶. Best travels to you darlin ❤
What a great build! I love the cutout to reach the foot pump and the table. She dispels so many stereotypes about young people. They say young folks can't do delayed gratification. Slept in the cold until she could afford the heater she wanted. Knows how to build stuff. The list goes on.
I'm homeless but have 3 suvs spread out around the country. None would handle even a 200 mile drive but they work fine for short distances and living in
I saw a green wrap ambulance in Columbus Indiana at a gas station. I was hoping to get glimpse of Bob to give a wave. My daughter was with me, listening while I explained HOWA & RTR. BUT it wasn't Bob that came out of fueling station and got in. I was soo disappointed. Thanks Bob and everyone who helps you with all the good you do. I was wanting my daughter to meet someone who realy tries to do good for fellow people.
That two van method is really practical and saves tons of wear and tear on a rig. As for the build, I really love the counter and kitchen area tweaks Lindra made to her van. I've never seen a fold up table where she put hers (plus the "keyhole" foot pump access + handle) and the counter opening up was also a real "duh" moment for me. I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing these in a lot more builds now. Thanks for sharing, @PracticalParadise and @CheapRVliving !
I checked out your channel, lindraparadise, you should totally put some videos out there of you doing maintenance on your own van. That would be a great example and very helpful for women van dwellers.
I’m seriously thinking about giving up my 2k a month apartment & live out of my paid off SUV. ONE ROADBLOCK. The MO DMV, Car Insurance, etc. WON’T ACCEPT A Mail Boxes Etc. or other Mail pick up centers. HOW DO I GET AN ADDRESS TO USE TO REGISTER MY VEHICLE, GET LICENSE PLATES, CAR INSURANCE, ETC. No one seems to have an answer. I don’t have friends who will let me use their address. ANY IDEAS??
Move.... yes MO is a pain in the... My Taxes and insurance went up over $200 per month last year. I know if you have a job, that may not be possible but sometimes it is better to find work elsewhere... You could rent a room, but eating out and going " out" will keep you poor as will any habits like drinking, smoking/vaping, or legal recreational weed. Option # 2, purchase a recreational lot and do the bear minimum to be able to live on it. A septic holding tank and 700SF structure are the requirements at one of the lots we own... Best wishes finding a solution that works for you. You are more inventive and smarter than you think. Plug into your Can Do attitude.
For Ms. Paradise to be doing van life for 6 years from Alaska is amazing considering how young she must have been when she started. Thanks, Bob, for sharing and inspiring others to just go out and do it, but of course, do your research, prepare, stay safe, and have a backup plan✅️.
Great interview/ tour Bob! I agree with all the beautiful people who commented. Lindra is an impressive young lady with a wonderful spirit. Safe travels to you. Much love and many blessings
Wowww doing your own repairs is fabulous as some mechanics are sooo expensive!!! Was just wondering what she has to cover all those windows as I didn't see any curtains??😮😮
Just test drove the same make of van… why is the brake pedal so high! I had forgotten this when I drove a van 1984 to 1986 for work! I wonder if older van drivers have problems with lifting their foot off the the gas pedal to the brake. Has anyone ever changed the angle of the brake pedal? I think this is a design flaw in vans! Would like to hear your opinion on this.
nice happy video - great set up; feels very relaxed. Was just wondering if that wasn't dangerous to have the fueltanks on thr roof, open in the sun?? Enjoy the coming spring! Thansk for sharing Lindra and Bob! Jason
Oh, I just love her. I am a face painter and artist too. I just love how she's making this happen for herself. Well, fun. She is such a sweetheart. I'm gonna go look at all her work. Mine is on my page. Anyway. I just love how she did her van, and she did it by herself. That is so great. Well, I just have to say I'm gonna go right now and go see her work I bet she is fabulous!
Great smile, she has. I traveled selling temp-tattoos for about 10 years. Warm weather product. Festivals, fairs,Harley Davidson rallys. It's very hard work but a very healthy lifestyle if you don't eat the carival food daily (a difficult task).
Hey Bob, live your dream buddy and go to AK for the summer! Don't wait on our behalf. You have raised us well and we can hold together for a summer for you to go outside the lower 48. God Bless and Thanks.
I just bought a Ford E250 van that I'm planning to build out. Instead of building cabinets I bought 2 used 2 drawer night stands on Facebook marketplace. Bolt them down and I'm done. For electricity I have an Energizer generator and two AGM batteries that I will connect to the start battery. I love your table set up and turned around passenger seat for a recliner. Safe travels. May are paths cross someday. Possibly an RTR. 😊
What a brilliantly designed van. I have a very similar build, but this one seems to be laid out more efficiently. I want to give a shout out for webasti heaters. It is absolutely is high end in terms of cost, however reliability and efficiency are also high-end. I am not sure my dog, myself, nor components of my van home would have survived Canadian winters during lockdowns without the Webasto. This young lady is a huge inspiration. I will be contacting her on Practical Paradise and hopefully meeting her one day. Thank you Bob for sharing your interview with this incredible young woman!
Thank you so much for this opportunity Bob! I am so greatful for all the love and support ❤🧡🩷☀️🌼

She seems really happy with her life and doesn't give a shit about what people think! I like her! Good bless and keeps her safe.🥰

One very talented, competent young woman, (says this 67 year old). Good on you, Lindra!

Haaa haaa 😂😂😂 too funny!
Good eye...that's just Jim Rockford practicing J-turns.
😂 Fast and furious. 😂

Thank you so much for the love! I spent some time sailing in San deigo before I built my van and took alot of inspiration from marine kitchens!
Very talented, capable, and impressive lady. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you.
You are so mature and clever for such a young age! Love your van, wishing you continued success in your life’s journey!!
She has it figured out for sure.
What a sweet young lady. It's fantastic that she does her own maintenance. She's an inspiration to this 65-year-old van dweller!
Bob. The best interview. What a great young woman. Her life is courageous and admirable. You go girl.❤

South Dakota has several mail forwarding businesses that provide a street address as well as car registration services.
Good question; Bob Wells has some UA-cam videos about mail forwarding services for nomads. ☮️
Bob has some videos about those questions.😊

Very practical gal, good spirt, great voice. Wish her nothing but the best!
Love it 😍😍😍😍😍😍
If anyone else is dealing with leaky roofs / campers, look into lap sealant. It’s a self leveling flexible sealant.
I also do festivals and decided on a van for the huge amount of garage space I could get under my bed for all my inventory!
What do you do at the festivals ?
How awesome that she’s so talented & can share it with so many. Very creative & practice young woman. I’m proud of her.
I really admire that she works on her own van!!! and she has so much freedom having two places to live at her own set schedule!
What a cool lady!!! Perfect lifestyle!
