It worked at least for now just today, time will tell. This was on a 2018Toyota Avanza in Philippines. It took 3 or 4 tries. And on this vehicle only the odometer and trip A and Trip B shows in the box..No other wordss like on or off.
I"ve seen many videos that give this same process. I've also had many toyotas (tundras, sequoias, etc) and it has never worked on any of them. what gives with this repeating a process that does not work?
Instead of messing with settings, can buy or get the metal clip from another seat belt. Just plug that in. Won’t have to change settings and just pop it out when needed.
This is all dependent on what model and year you have. It's not going to work on every model, and for every year peeps. Seems to be for older Yotas. I have an 05 4Runner and it's still too new for this to work
Perfect example as to why we need to see the 'thumbs down' count both before clicking on a video and while watching. Seems like this doesn't work for anyone. Didn't work for my 2005 Tacoma
I figured out how to turn it off forever. But sorry I cant tell how I did it since I cant be responsible if any1 gets hurt because of my suggestions. Not legally not morally...
it's like Toyota has nobody quality controlling their vehicles with all these obnoxious "features." Navigation system and interface are pretty terrible too.
I wouldn’t say its a quality issue, their stuff lasts for million miles. More like weak design. But still, my truck is almost two decades old, that was the standard equipment back then. Plus its a budget model, if you want all bells and whistles, you can pay double for a Cadillac.
I tried this today on Toyota Avanza..It took 3 or 4 tries. So far so good.
Worked on my Suzuki dirt bike.
This worked on my Neighbor's 2009 Tacoma. Thanks!
