Super useful! Here’s another Dawn video idea. How to add a “?” icon next to variant boxes to give more information about the variant without exiting the product page or scrolling down. I’ve only seem this with paid apps and custom code, so you might be the only one with a video covering this topic.
Need some input from you if you don't mind. In regards to your suggestion above, so the question mark shows right next to the variant button? And on clicking it opens up a small tooltip or a popup? I guess only then the user will not have to scroll down. Thanks
@@Webmyster correct, the "?" icon appears next to the product variant box. When people click the icon, a pop-up opens up. This icon offers clarification in regards to the variant. It's common to find text, images, or videos inside this pop-up.
@@heymeneses I'm trying to figure out what you mean by "product variant box". Dawn has two options to show variants, a dropdown or a pill (as they call it in the UI design world). I'm wondering if you are referring to these because not sure how a question mark will look next to those (ofcourse has to be more like an icon instead of reg text but still). Or may be you are referring to totally some other element ? As for what shows in the pop up, just text would be much easier. Still not the easiest to do but I have this on my queue. One thing I always have to keep in mind is if I will be able to explain everything without getting it too complicated. But yes, I will look into it. Thanks for the input again.
@@Webmyster thanks for taking the time! It's next to the variant's title instead of the actual dropdown (box). The icon's purpose is to clarify when selecting variants for complex products. For example, let's say you have a product with three dropdowns, and each dropdown has four variants. Some apps let you add a "?" next to each dropdown title to explain the best option for the user.
great videos as always! i was wondering if you could make a video on how to add a gif or image background for the dawn theme. i am having trouble with it. thanks!
Hi there! I just watched and completed the changes in "How To Add Video Without UA-cam and Vimeo on Shopify Dawn Theme" and now I've completed this video instructions. My metafield is setup and the URL box appears at the bottom of my product pages. I've copied the Shopify URL, pasted, and nothing shows on my product pages. I've gone through every step in the video 10x and can't find anything I missed. Please help 🙏
Somehow the video section is not showing a way to link the URL to a Metafield. All it shows is a place to type in or paste a video link, either from youtube or vimeo.
Hi! I believe you are not seeing the videos and the options related to videos? You will have to first follow my other videos where I show to how to add videos to different sections and then you can use those customizations and combine them with metafields to achieve what I show in this video. I believe I do explain that in the video. Please let me know if you are still having issues and I can try to explain in a bit more detail.
You left a comment on this video but in order to have the videos to show you were supposed to follow the prior videos first. Did you do that? If yes, which ones did you follow?
Are you referring to auto playing the custom videos I show how to add in my prior videos or the video you can add in place of any of the images for the product (current functionality) ?
If i dont add video for other product, it still shows the dummy video image how can i disable that?
Great video and super helpful to us. Appreciate your work. Thanks, Webmyster. 👍
My pleasure! Glad to know it is helpful
Amazing amazing amazing you make my day.....🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉I got a very different and beautiful strategy from you...🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

You might have missed a step, can you double check if you added a setting for it in the schema?
@@Webmyster can you direct me to where you make this change in the schema?

hi, how do you autoplay a product video on the dawn 2.0 theme 6.0 version?
Are you referring to auto playing the custom videos I show how to add in my prior videos or the video you can add in place of any of the images for the product (current functionality) ?
