Cherokee Tubing: July 4th 2024

We decided to take the kids tubing for the 4th. Helen, GA is nice, but over crowded for the summer time. So instead, we headed up to Cherokee, NC. Teresa and I have been on the Oconaluftee River a couple of times previous, and Shane joined us once before, but it was a first for Connor.
The water was cold! But it felt nice compared to the heat. The water was pretty shallow, so we drug our butts a bit more than usual, but still had a great day.
BONUS: we got our typical elk sighting in an atypical manner, it was in the river with us!!!
