This video was great, and really good for me because I'm finally setting up a tank which can support SPS, so I looked them up as I was watching. Holy Moses those are expensive frags. I'll just sit back and watch sales I guess. But I really appreciate this video and another of yours which suggested planning for growth. I'll admit its something I hand't put enough thought into previously.
I can relate! I am kind of new to the hobby still. I have a green slimer and a blue staghorn acropora that is growing great so I thought I would try my hands on a red planet tabling acro. Within a week it bleached out. I want to try another tabling acropora but heard they are harder to keep.
Nice additions. When the title said High End, I was expecting to see a HomeWrecker, WD, RR Angry Bird, Fruity Pebbles or a Matt V Orange Envy talked about. :(
Hello I would like to know what supplements do use on your tank as far as brands and the 20 inch synergy reef overflow Do use all three full siphon or how do you use your drain lines to accomplish enough flow turn around through your tank.Thank You
It’s a blatant lie that wild sps colonies do not make it in aquariums. Most of my and many others’ tanks are comprised of wild and mari cultures sps corals and they are doing well with great colouration and growth.
For christ sake, its $450 for the pack! And its discounted from $950?? What the hell has happened to this hobby. I guess only the wealthy people get to enjoy all the nice corals
Guess you missed the part that says "high-end". These types of Acros don't just come in wholesale shipments all the time. You have to seek them out and culture them.
Brian Goldstein you must not know s*** about wwc if you think there are rip off they're doing great things and trying to save the reef quit being a cheap bastard you can't afford it don't buy it
@@robfinn1913 trying to save the reef? right.. I am a Marine Biologist and if you think WWC is trying to save the reef, you're misinformed. It's not that I can't afford it, I'd just rater choose another vendor and pay a cheaper price for the same piece of coral. You have your opinion; I have mine.
All cultured corals originate from the wild so the point of keeping only cultured frags is moot. I always prefer buying wild and Mari cultured corals especially SPS corals as you get more bang for your buck and with the right setup, they grow just as well as cultured corals.
Thanks for the tour. Awesome corals & Hoping they thrive in your system..
Very nice. I love when you do updates of your tank. You don't show it off enough.
Yeah that's my favorite store ; I use to go there all the time .Once you go in ; You don't wanna leave .
Tanks looking great mate, truly inspirational

Great choices and I think any spsaholic would love to have these in their tank as well.
Super nice corals

Thanks for the help anyway...

What is the dimension of that tank and how is it lit?

Bart Huyett then the bitching about the price would REALLY be intense!

I want acros but my tank doesn’t want them....
I use to have the same problem but then I got a better light and do very regular water changes and they do much better in my tank now
@@AmericanReefing water changes! for the win!
Great stuff.
Anyone know the name of the music used for the intro and ending? Same song used for both...but no mention of track name :/
I just paid 50 bucks for a 1/8" frag of confetti Acro,lol
I've hear that WWC keeps nitrate levels at 30ppm+. Do you know if there is any truth to that?
No, That just Richard Ross. lol
these frags must cost at least 250 for an inch
in the AB+coral program and the uv is 100,so do we need to lower it?will it harm coral?
The UV isn't a true UV so running it at 100% is fine.
so in my case uv now is set to 30,so if i want to raise up to 100 do i need to acclimate ?
for sure. I always recommend making changes in your reef tank slowly

Dave Smith yeah that's fucking ridiculous

$90 each for 5 1" frags. Too rich for my blood. Call me in 5 years when they're down to $40 each. haha
They're not $40 each yet

thk me later LOL
