Is there a version of Reharm Reynold where he doesn't know anything about reharmonisation at all and just plays a chord with the note in it? Cause that's me
Bill Evans: I hope teacher won’t be that harsh today John Coltrane: he’s so much better than us Freddie Hubbard: he’s so strict Licc Stan: time for improvisation lessons. All: yes sir.
jacob collier is such a type 3.. i like him, reharmonization is cool and all but listening to him going way too irrelated with the original chords is like tiktok videos which are made to unsatisfy you on purpose. like watching someone pour water to a glass thinking they will stop pouring just on time but they keep pouring although the glass is full. just play something my ear is used to hearing, you dont have to go crazy 24/7. or maybe it's just me being jealous idk
Hi Foe! A challenge for you, if you accept... Play 1 minutes of giant steps, but instead of playing the normal note, transpose it into Liccs. So liccs in the same key as the original progressions? Thanks, I accept you probably won't do it as you fancy keeping your fingers in one piece! Lots of Love, Big H.
I mean giant step is just ii-V-I in the key of B, G, and Eb. So if you can just bear with how fast they keys are changing, it's definitely way easier than having to improvise in Coltrane progression. Edit : also yeah. That's exactly what foe did here. Although not for a minute
@@harrymorgan8948 a keyboard with giant step chord progressions, and the lick as the melodies. That's as specific as it could've been. How'd you make it sounded better in that context?
Not really a jazz pianist, but I can relate too much on Reharm Reynold. Common songs then you have to rearrange with advanced, more complicated chords!
hi allow me to introduce myself, im 3) its definitly because i like reharm and not bc i dont know the original chords, no matter how simple they are so i just make shit up
I play the licc. I'm a traditionalist
You’re missing out on scientific advancements like El Lick
@@6thdim that's the thing about the lick. No matter how advanced the music theory and experiment goes, the lick is still the lick.
El lick is not “The lick.” The two are different.
i just love it so much when people combine their humor with what they love (talent or hard work or both) and do it with a big smile
Guthrie govan moment
Ah yes, my favorite numbering system:
1)
1)
3)
lmfao didn't even notice
Damn the Giant Licc is awesome. Pure nightmare fuel.
We need a minute version of it
That’s a very well hidden licc 0:07 lmao

That "The licc but giant steps" slaps
Lol I played with a 3) before, wild stuff. His syncopation was really weird too.
I'm guessing you're all of them?
I'm not a good jazz musician, but I can't help quoting memes whenever i play. they're just right there in the top of my mind

He did exactly this at 0:20 although it wasn’t for a minute

@@theyhaventfedmesince I didn't say it would sound better, I said it sounded good, and I would like more of it

Fuuny Can you publish a transcription of your Mary Had a Little Lamb?
Your smile is so sweet tho
TIL some people grew up with "and it was white as snow" rather than "its fleece was white as snow"
I've seen all your videos and I would love to know how you learned to play jazz. Was it college/private tuition/self-taught?
0:33 Mary had a little lamp was funny and jazzy
Hahaha love this!
Reharm. I love a spicy chord but if the whole thing is spicy I can't take it (like, the tonality is lost and it's just a mess with different chords)
I aspire to be all three simultaneously.
Watching this again because I enjoyed it that much
Two types:
1: Random, out of tune, no melody, just skiddle dee doop Gack gack, non listenable noise.
2: Same as 1.
I can hear the growth man keep it up 🔥
That ending gave me goosebumps
I love your playing in the first one, what's the tune?
Are you a jazz student?
I found the lick at minute 00:07 hahahahaha
Ah yes, types:

Annnnd thats me off to play Gran Turismo..... cheers!
it's the years of musical training that goes into simply understanding this video, for me.
For the last player, anything’s voice leading if you play enough notes
im 47 and bitter. ure 20 and bitter, dont become me
Reharm Reynold is perfect!
is there any famous jazz musician you could recommend to me which has the 3) reharm reynold style?
I'm the biggest Reharm Reynold in history, lmao.
