If I may add, 4U or 5U is unstrung racket weight. The string added the weight turned it from 5U to 4U.

Yes that was a weird statement. UNSTRUNG weight 👍

The concept of these videos is good. The execution could use some work.
First, as many have mentioned, the weight category listed on the racquet should be calculated as a DRY WEIGHT. This is well known and anyone in the racquet selling industry will tell you this. Dry weight is the weight of the unstrung frame WITHOUT grip. You could also exclude grommets, which affects weight by approximately 1 gram.
With regards to grips, your weight will change depending on the following:
    -Brand of grip
-Number of grips or over grips
    -use of under grip cushion
-how loosely or tightly the grip is wrapped (how hard you pull it while wrapping)
    -spacing of wraps
-building of a grip butt (very popular with the Korean doubles teams)
With regards to string, your weight will change depending on the following
    -type of string
    -thickness
-number crosses and mains on the racket
    -stringing pattern
-stringing tension (high tension requires less string)
Typically with a factory strung racquet you can subtract 5 to 6 grams from the measured weight to find the dry weight, but again, this depends on many factors.
In one video I watched you mentioned that the racket stated it was "head light". You then said that you weren't sure what that meant. Ummmmmm.... Should be pretty self explanatory.
I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve with regards to the smash, head speed and control. You don't really give much comment on it other than to say "that went well". Why not some comments on frame feel on impact? How the shuttle leaves the face? Accuracy of placement on the smash? And the head speed test is much the same. You simply do a test, but give no feedback. There is much more to be said on these topics, but I think you get the gist.
For stiffness, I use the following method. I clamp the head of a racket into my string. Then from the very end of the handle, I hang a weight. On Given that my string is always in the same place and at a fixed height, I measure the space between the bottom of the handle to the table top (upon which my string is placed) This gives me a firm imperial value of how much the shaft has flexed. This allows me to categorize my racquets based on numbers.
Anyway, I hope to see the videos improve and expand on information.
    Still a very good idea.

Hi thanks for you very interesting comments:
Unfortunately the advertised weight on a racket is not advertised or marketed as a dry weight nor can we find any written confirmation of this from any of the international brands that we test. Furthermore most consumers (which are social or club players) do not have any idea that the advertised/printed weight is not the actual strung weight, which in our view is misleading. It would not be hard to sell a racket strung with a factory grip and approximate the weight on that basis. We intend to try and address this in future video's.
All rackets are tested only with the grip supplied, which grip, how many grips etc is not an ares of tested we are vested in.
All our rackets are strung to the same tension using the same string, so the weighing exercise is consistent in this respect.
The actual results of all our testing will be available to view on our main website due for launch early 2017. Smash and manuever speed are all measured in KPH.
Discussing feel and so on may be something we will include however it is a subjective area and we prefer to adopt a more scientific based approach.
We use a bespoke made digital machine which isolates the shaft for stiffness measurements. Your method considers the head rigidity too.
The video's are teasers and a way for us to show how many rackets we test and to give an idea of what kind of testing we do, but not to reveal the results of all our testing. Once we launch our website, there will be more information available on each racket than has ever been available before.

We have tested it, so the test results will be available on our main website which we will launch early next year. However, a test video has not been compiled.
