@@ColinStoltz Agreed. Getting into huge debt has been normalized here in the US, especially when it comes to crazy expensive Trucks/SUVs. Scotty Kilmer is one of the few guys that advocates being cheap and getting used vs new. I got myself a 20yr old Tacoma that runs like new for only $3k, and only paid $100 in Tax+Title. It has dings and scratches and fading paint, but it does everything I need a beater truck to do without even having to worry about getting it dirty or getting extra dings or scratches.
Its truly pathetic that American men now take pride in driving a truck they don't even own. Thanks to them, a saver like me has to keep paying more and more. This country is a joke.

It will be a busy time for body shop claims. Looking at the profile there is hardly any front bumper. It is almost flush with grill and forward facing hood. If you slide and even "touch" something at 2 miles per hour, "bumper" grill and hood are damaged, instant 5k claim
Something about that big screen just looks like a bunion. I find the big screen in the Rams to meld in with the interior more, instead of feeling 'tacked' on like a small TV on the dash.

Where are the tow/recovery hooks? How do you step up in the bed when the tailgate is down since the rear bumper is like that? I like Toyota as I have 2020 TRD PRO but some of the things they left out on this truck make no sense. I use the bumper ends on either side to step up into my bed when the tail gate is down.

But even some stuff they tested, may not work as well out in real world environments, or have issues after a few years of going that they'll realize and fix as well. All the testing in the world, which really is a lot for Toyota, can still lead to unexpected surprises that could either be not a big problem or a catastrophic issue. I still have a few years until I need a truck, cause I'm married with no kids. 2-door is all I need right now
@@chrisp.3461 In my defense, I didn't realize it was that long. To my knowledge, this is their first twin-turbo V6, so while I'm excited for it, I'm cautious. Also to see how strong everything else is over a few years of use too. I like knowing what to expect down the road vs being the first to buy it and being the guy on the forums telling others of my experience and what to watch out for.

Kind of a silly question, does the limited have tilt mirrors when put into reverse? My 1794 had em’ and once you get use to using them, they become a part of the process and doesn’t feel normal not having them. Thanks.
the base engine tundra 3.5 twin turbo is the same engine with the LC300.. but on LC300 is more power setup around 415 HP & 650Nm without hybrid system..

Yes, the new Tundra is so much better than the Ram 1500. I own a 2019 Ram 1500 fully loaded and over the last 50,000 miles its had a shit load of problems ; many of which were very unacceptable on a truck with that price tag. Now that Toyota ( legendary for its reliability ) has an interior that rivals all the other brands, why on Earth would you want a Ram, Chevy or Ford half ton?
My 4th gen ram was a joke. Wanted to be a believer on the hemi. Absolute garbage tons of issues. Bought a tundra with the same amount of miles and zero issues. To many rams on the road anyhow. No originally owning one.
Though a nice improvement the door panels look cheap to me in all trims. We’ll see how the retail models are I guess. Nice interior improvement overall.
I thought the TRD division has gone silent/shut down after Toyota have the Gazoo Racing division. I was wrong. TRD did a great job with this Tundra 👍🏻👍🏻 love the overall quirks and features of it
I’m thinking Limited Hybrid Crew Cab, 5ft bed with TRD OffRoad package is the ticket for me. I’m hoping to use it as a daily driver for my family, then weekend RV towing and overlanding.

Fuel mileage just to see if that's improved at all. I'm fairly consistent at 13mpg daily. Towing, _____...8- 11 if I stay out of the " gotta get there " mode. The new red is nice. Would like if they offered the Spruce Green Mica again, or a variant of it. TV screen is a bit off putting to me. But I heard you mention 8 & 10" options. Which I think would look better than the movie theater screen in the reviews. Anyway great job on the presentation.
Love this truck. What does just the plain limited come with. Standard. And also it would have been nice if the armrest in the back row cup holders had a pull cup holder to use or not to use. Like my 4Runner had.

I think the A pillar looks better body color...but that’s me. Even with the TRD package I’d still get 35x12s anyway... I still like this truck though...the horizontal screen is a good move...the vertical is what I don’t like on Rams..
Decided on the RAM 1500 limited over the Tundra. Ordered it the way I want (2023) which I could not do with Toyota. They're not accepting orders. Ultimately the ride and interior of the RAM won me over.
Looks really good inside and out? How is the head room? in the video it look like your head was scraping the ceiling. One of my complaints of the old Tundra was the ceiling was lower then the the other brands.
Looks good, but the front end would look better with the center bumper painted body color and also the silver part around the grill should be body coler.

They did a fantastic job with this truck. It’s gonna be hard to even compete with Ram on what they bring to the table and especially with releasing the TRX not long ago, that puts even more of a challenge. I’m not saying they can’t do it though.

I can't tell but did the cabin and seats get smaller? I'm a big guy at 6 ft 3 430 lb. I've sat in every truck on the market and the one truck that still makes a truck with a truck seat like my 03 Dodge ram is the Toyota tundra. All the other trucks for example the Dodge ram and the GMC Denali 1500 all had tiny ass seats I opened up the door to a tundra and I said holy crap it's a truck seat a real truck seat it's wide it's huge I got in the truck and it was comfortable and I didn't even have to think about the headroom LOL I hope to God they didn't screw it up by trying to make it fancier looking and then make it smaller like every other manufacturer is doing.
Love the redesign. Looks like they finally put the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel! I hate that control fob under the steering wheel. Can't imagine what it would cost if my knee clipped that thing. I have a 2018 SR5 with the XP package and love it, but of course 2018 was when the TSS was introduced and there have been many recalls. Never had a problem with any of the recalls, but will wait a year or 2 to let this redesign to work out the bugs before I think about trading in and upgrading.
As a Toyota employee I'd like to remind everyone that this truck is built in Texas! It's more American made than some "American" manufacturers.

The TRD Pro model has been delayed to March 2022. You can go to your local Toyota dealer and put a deposit down on it though.

This should have been the infotainment screen for the land cruiser too,this looks way better and luxurious than the LC300.
I think the interior is excellent…very nice. Interestingly it’s been basically lifted right out of the new land cruiser overseas.

They did a fantastic job with this truck. It’s gonna be hard to even compete with Ram on what they bring to the table and especially with releasing the TRX not long ago, that puts even more of a challenge. I’m not saying they can’t do it though.

Not a fan of the chrome trim aroundthe windows. Looks GMC-ish. The Pro however looks outstanding

That is one sweet looking truck…love the grille color…makes it less obnoxious….unlike what you get on the Platinum trim,level.

I can't tell but did the cabin and seats get smaller? I'm a big guy at 6 ft 3 430 lb. I've sat in every truck on the market and the one truck that still makes a truck with a truck seat like my 03 Dodge ram is the Toyota tundra. All the other trucks for example the Dodge ram and the GMC Denali 1500 all had tiny ass seats I opened up the door to a tundra and I said holy crap it's a truck seat a real truck seat it's wide it's huge I got in the truck and it was comfortable and I didn't even have to think about the headroom LOL I hope to God they didn't screw it up by trying to make it fancier looking and then make it smaller like every other manufacturer is doing.

Love the redesign. Looks like they finally put the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel! I hate that control fob under the steering wheel. Can't imagine what it would cost if my knee clipped that thing. I have a 2018 SR5 with the XP package and love it, but of course 2018 was when the TSS was introduced and there have been many recalls. Never had a problem with any of the recalls, but will wait a year or 2 to let this redesign to work out the bugs before I think about trading in and upgrading.
