      And don't forget most of them are made with an AI That's intelligent enough to understand what you need it to do I mean switching from gun to beam saber seems like something they would be programmed into a button and maybe it can understand under certain scenarios what it needs to do when the button is pushed like instead of putting back the beam rifle throwing it away to grab the beam saber to have enough time to Block in melee combat or swing and instantly take out a mobile suit remember the more tweaked and tuned mobile suits are always more agile in more ways than one like the movement to get the weapon or specific action is more crisp which could be something that's programmed into a its simple AI for that specific pilot which then the balls having such an advantage against ground type mobile suits in space it's not only a bigger disadvantage to the machine but a disadvantage to the pilot which explains why they made so many space ready types but also why those don't do so well on the ground they're not tune for the ground unless you have one of those variable types like Gundam

    • @TheEmeraldMenOfficial
      @TheEmeraldMenOfficial 3 роки тому

      @@AgentOrange921 there’s always grabbing a Raspberry Pi and building your own cockpit (just use a PC for the monitors, though, the Pi is not even close to beefy enough to run 4 monitors, let alone 6 if you count communications).
      Bonus points for turning it into a working programmable controller for your PC, so you can game with it. I can see this being fun to play flight simulators with, or even games like Kerbal Space Program (same layout: just use finger buttons for action groups) and/or Forza (finger buttons for shifting, steer using the sticks as bike handlebars, pedal layout like a normal manual). Seems arduous but very much possible to me, given a few grand for materials, plenty of elbow grease (or friends), and a good knowledge of electronics/coding/fabrication.

Your devotion to this project is obvious and I think it has really paid off. This is beautiful..I've watched Gundam my whole life..actually only found out a few months ago most of the systems/functions are automated..at least earlier models..I figured Left stick..right stick..=left hand..right hand controls..the same with the pedals..BUT..was surprised when I found they didn't..The suits...well..almost pilot themselves somewhat..they're very simplified at least...raised the question for more dynamic moments..I guess they switch between modes to execute..

    • @zeamo21
      @zeamo21 6 років тому +8

      there are probably manual overrides to input more specific commands, probably why there are keyboards in some suits.

    • @Blizzard2319
      @Blizzard2319 6 років тому +7

      Gundam F91 was what informed me the Gundams we're so automated..I'd favor a more "anolog" or manual interaction myself..
      I always did somewhat wonder about it..I remember a scene or 2 from Gundam Wing when it first aired in the U.S..and I saw the pilot use the left control stick to for throttle control instead of the left arm control...
      But I mean..if you can control a mobile suit with a damn playstation controller in a game..XD..the set up shown wouldn't be too far fetched..

      Reminds me of the enigmatic Musha Gundam. Musha Gundam arrived alongside a mysterious planet while for some strange reason he was looking for someone to be his "sword" meaning "pilot".

    • @MinovskyManGundam
      @MinovskyManGundam  5 років тому +7

      Yeah, it's like the suits have simplified base controls, and you can access deeper manual controls using overrides. Pretty much the base controls are simple enough for a child, but if you needed to control the hand manually, you could access that ability by overriding into individual manipulators with tiered control options. I'm sure that as a pilot becomes more skilled, they'd have the ability to switch between these override modes seamlessly, which would give them a considerable edge over their opponents.

    • @MinovskyManGundam
      @MinovskyManGundam  6 років тому +20

      Good Q! The controls are designed to layer in complexity, so you can manually control the arms and legs by switching into separate modes that control them individually. This evolved from the fact mobile suits were originally designed for construction. You can think of it as operating the same way that excavators do. You typically wouldn't use this feature in battle of course, due to the difficulty of managing modes so quickly. There wouldn't be a likely chance that you'd control the limb to kick an enemy, unless you were a Newtype or something...

    HOLY GUNDAM! it didn't just live up to the hype I built up waiting all this time, it full on surpassed it! this was insanely good I was screaming like a little girl, when you show'd the teaser I had no idea we where going to get such a ride. I am impressed it looked amazing, moving the camera was amazing, it was amazing, did I say it was AMAZING!?

    Seriously though this is fantastic. As a gamedev I'm getting tremendous ideas from this and you've summarised things beautifully. I am incredibly impressed.
    Do you think you could go over Minovsky physics at some point in the form of an educational video? It'd probably be a lot less demanding and you could do it in the form of an Anaheim Electronics educational video or something for young engineers and talk about how beam weapons work, the tradeoffs between types and how these things have affected mobilesuit design.
    Consider me one of your patrons.
