What makes your videos better than all the rest of the mine exploring videos is that Ioan gives history lessons and information about the mine while you're exploring.
Absolutely, he is a wealth of knowledge, which help make this channel great to watch and follow, in fact I think this is a very underrated mine exploring channel and should really have more subs. The whole team make it a great viewing experience.
I'm old enough to not be gullible enough to get into an argument with someone on the internet who is still living in their parents basement.@@Truth-And-Freedom
Wonderful ROV work! It adds such a wonderful dimension to the amazing explorations we get to share on this terrific channel. Keep up the good work, all!
1:37 See, it’s true. Wagon wheels aren’t really smaller now. Ioan will tell you (he is an expert!) it’s just our hands made them look bigger in the seventies! 🤣 oh I’m funny 😝 but you guys are brilliant! What an explore! The FiFish has been a game changer for you! 😁👍👊😎
More mining magnificence for which we are absolutely delighted. It is great to be able to see these places that have never been seen for many decades. It is great to see so many things preserved so well.
Great exploration again and never disappoints; the starter for the winch is the same as for the 1940s band saw that I used to operate. It had to be started in stages and the switch gear was submersed in oil. Look forward to next time.
I love this! I've not done much around the mid-Wales slate fields, but have done quite a bit around Blaenau Ffestiniog in days gone by. When you were looking for the audit/level I was shouting at the TV telling you where you needed to go! 😅 It's brilliant to 'be back in' the mines, especially one that I haven't seen! 👍 We should meet up and check out a certain wheeled copper mine in a valley you'll know! I know my missus would love to see it!

The oil is from an oil filled reostat that controlled the power going to the motor. You can see the plates in a few frames I think.

That looks like a series drum controller next to the motor for the winch. So that motor is probably an enclosed DC motor, which would be a rare find.

very nice guys.
Thanks guys these are great videos with all that under water footage is simply amazing
Thanks for another interesting exploration. At 13:58, does a wagon wheel come into view against the passage wall as the ROV pans from left to right?
Hooray! Another video!

Well I certainly enjoyed the sights of this old flooded Slate mine! To you guys and Gals it is Old Hat! Great video. Thanks
Excellent video! The ROV footage was very impressive, your best yet I think. The winch is a great find too.
That was a good one, well done
Fab exploring guys and girls, ticking all the boxes
Another excellent lost mine exploration! Many thanks!

I thoroughly enjoyed this slate mine. Thanks!
Nice explore mates, thank you.
Awesome content .looks so different underwater .
That was awesome!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
I love the rover episodes! Tell me: what is the strangest/spookiest experience you have had whilst spelunking?
How long I wonder will it be before the level you were on is itself no longer accessible due to rising waters?
Hooray a Lost Mines video
Why did they leave so much metal down there? The scrap value must be considerable and they had strapping miners to heave it all out.
Might the wheel by the rails have been a return wheel for a rope-hauled system, like the NCB used a lot?
Awesome with the rov no skeletal remains. 😏😂
👍👍👍👍👍👍⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒
Are you sure that was diesel? What it be doing in a slate mine?
Promo-SM ☹️
