@@mateocossani8231Yeah. It’s a unique precon though so it’s probably more appealing than most others. And ofc if you play Commander, that booster is definitely worth it.
In response to the sample boosters that come with the precons: Some friends and I just each got a different copy of the Duskmourn precons, and each of the sample boosters contained cards that would be synergistic and be ran in the OTHER decks in the set, as opposed to being usable in the decks they came in themselves. Not necessarily “must includes” or any money cards whatsoever, but if that’s not intentional to try and drive sales of the other decks, then it was certainly an interesting coincidence. Was a fun bonus getting to trade our extended arts and promos around the table.
Well, remember that the ONLY way you could get an extended art foil One Ring was from the Sample Packs in the Precons (before the Special Edition). that thing was like 500 bucks or more at one point I think. But point is that was something new they did for the LotR precons. Not that you can't necessarily get good cards from those packs, just saying that specific pull could only have been in that pack.
Just got back into Magic. Picked up two Bloomburrow. First card out of the first pack was extended art Ygra, Eater of All. Second booster wasn't as hot.
I bought all the MotM Commander decks, and the Convoke and +1/+1 decks cane be fun. Convoke got two solid cards in Duskmourn, and then switch the the +1/+1 Commander from Brightpaws to Shaila and Halar. I will say tho, I do enjoy playing weaker decks and trying to make them work. However, I do have a ton of fun with them.
I bought one from my local Costco for 20 bucks. From Bloomburrow I pulled a Caretakers Talent, from the two card promo I pulled a Faerie Mastermind and from the Commander Masters I pulled a Demonic Tutor, Grand Abolisher, Flawless Maneuver and a full art exsanguinate. I probably should have bought a lottery ticket 😅
4:38 Regarding the bonus packs, in a Modern Horizons III Foil/Premium Simic Lands (Tricky Terrain) deck, I got a borderless Ugin's Labyrinth, so it IS possible to get good things in them sometimes

I got 3 MotM costco bundles for 19.97 each last 2 Fridays ago. Pulled about 3 $10 cards in the packs not including the precon worth. overall was lit af
I recently visited a different lgs, and one of the people I met there proudly said that he spent 800 on lotr Commander at Costco, then returned every single one that does not contain the one ring. I guess I look at him with disgust, he just kept saying "that's their return policy"
That's disgusting, hate people taking advantage of their return policy in that way. I bought Food and Fellowship and it was missing Merry (I didn't open any of the sealed packs) and they gladly exchanged it. It's nice that policy is there as a safety net, but people who abuse generous return policies are the ones who will ruin it for everyone. Just looks at what happened at REI. Folks kept returning their hiking boots they wore the entire Appalachian Trail for full refunds or exchanges forced their hand to be more strict on their return policy.
That is one good way to convince retailers not to carry product, which will mean that LGS will now have exorbitant power. Remember when those stores would sell a commander deck at triple the price instead of MSRP just because it has a True-Name Nemesis?
I would love to know where you are seeing Magic at Costco. There are two close to my house and one close to my daughter's college. I visit one or more of these around twice a month and none have EVER stocked any Magic products.
March of the Machines is probly the worst commander sets i've seen at Costco, they never moved so Im not surprised it's on so cheap. I got the Fallout sets for 160$ for the 4 and the LOTR sets are a decent price right now.
Ordered all 3 that they had available a week or two ago and I'm glad I did. I just checked the website and there are no more available at all online. I might make a run out to see if they have anything at one of the warehouses in town today.
Back when we opened our LOTR decks, my friend opened in the sample booster a foil extended art one ring valued at 400$. For some reason someone offered him about 1000$ for it and he promptly sold it lol
I bought and sold a MoM commander deck for total $2 loss to try my luck at the packs which did alright. Nothing super crazy but sold an ashnod alter to be $3 positive and trying to sell finale of Devastation to make money
I guess I’m going to have to pay another visit to my costco. I bought one at $39.99 before, but if they’re even cheaper now I’d be happy to load up. Would they be in the same area? From what I remember Costco doesn’t have any sort of “discount” area?

They have a right to be upset when this game is marketed as a COLLECTIBLE TRADING CARD GAME meaning you expect your cards you spend an exorbitant amount of money on to retain some value. Im sorry but this game is and always had been more than just game pieces.

Im in a major city and none of the Costco carry them :( stinks too because I only want them for the good deal to have a pre con, not to scalp the cards for selling
Damn ithats insane they keep dropping the prices on these. Unfortunately we are all sold out online i my area and i dont think they have anymore in store

In that first box. The precon and commander masters makes it worth it. a commander masters booster is 20 bucks so you already saved 20 bucks
U only save money if you were planning on buying them anyway, never forget that

I paid $19.97 at my Costco yesterday for the MOM precon. Insane deal
It's $70 in Canada fml
Wow, I think that's almost an auto-buy. Commander precons don't get much cheaper that that, and the decks aren't that bad.

I pulled the lotus that comes in commander masters, I think it was the box with the lion commander. these boxes are legit
You could also just make that there Kykar the Commander and have fun playing the deck. 🙂
I pulled an Extraplanar Lens out of the Eldrazi Unbound pre-con sample pack. Certainly wasn't mad at that lol.
