I used to clean carpets back in the late 80's into the early 90's. One of my customers was man named Dave Deal. He was pretty well know in the Vista, CA area doing art for local hot rod shows posters and T'shirts, he did the art and design of the comical Revell plastic models back in the day and he helped with the creation of the characters in the pixar/Disney movie Cars. Very interesting dude. The best thing he ever shared with me is he and his colleagues were some of the 1st people back then to inspect this sight. He even wrote a book on it but not sure it was ever published because back in the day it was illegal for people to cross Turkey's borders. I had a copy of the book but of course it was lost when I lost my storage unit. I really miss Dave one of the most interesting dudes on this planet. Rest in peace my friend.

Just noticed that Dave's book is still up on Amazon... (Noah's Ark - the Evidence: Untying the Knott of the Gordurian Mountains) I used to live in Alabama many years ago. My introduction to Noah's Ark happened when a very close friend of Ron Wyatt came and spoke at the church I went to in Birmingham. His name was Corky Bell and he and Ron both ran a ministry in Gatlinburg, Tennessee called the 'Passion Play In The Smokies'. After listening to Corky's message I KNEW without question that Ron and Corky were legit and everything they said was 100% true. FYI I grew up in Fallbrook, Ca.

The issue I have is that how can the Ark be in two places at once ? Mount Ararat and here ? The frozen rooms etc on the mountain and then this boat-shaped area elsewhere. Wishful thinking does us no good in an archeological setting. A great many archeological biblical discoveries have been made to prove the Bibles word is true. Yet we should realize what is and what should stay a mystery. The Ark should not be a mystery because it's such a beautiful, yet controversial subject.

      11) Has any petrified wood been tested?
"Firstly, it is worthy to note the Aramaic root word for the Hebrew word translated “gopher wood” means laminated wood (this is when layers of wooden boards are glued together one upon another to provide extra strength).
      Plywood in ancient Egypt
Jean-Phillippe Lauer, in his book Saggara: The Royal Cemetery of Memphis, makes this statement concerning the knowledge and use of laminated “plywood” in very early Egypt. “…..within the remains of a coffin whose sides were made of six thin superimposed layers of wood with the grain alternating as in modern ply wood.” (P.99 . Pub. Charles Scribner’s Sons, New York) As we have stated earlier, an actual specimen from Noah’s Ark, presumably a piece of deck board is made of laminated (plywood). The use of the same method by the early Egyptians proves that this knowledge was available in the early years of Ancient Egypt, passed along undoubtedly through Noah’s offspring as they begun to settle throughout the world. It would probably stagger the imagination if we knew how much technology was lost by man after the Flood.
In October 1984, when the Turks sent their own team of archaeologists to the site, their expedition yielded very positive results. Apart from four-feet long metal spikes and other metal objects, they recovered PETRIFIED WOOD. Then, on June 20th, 1987, Ron Wyatt had a day that he would never forget. A great discovery was about to occur. Governor Sevket Ekinci of the Turkish province of Agri issued instructions that the American crew was to stay upon the hill. They were not to film the event - it was his. He allowed some journalists, a Turkish cameraman, some members of the military, and other dignitaries only, to witness the next events. Setting up the radar, Ron made several passes. Explaining the printout to the group with one of his liaisons, Mine Unler, translating, he noted that one particular reading appeared to be very near the surface. The Govenor then ordered one of the soldiers to dig at the location Ron had indicated, which he did. There soon emerged what looked like a flat rock. As more dirt was removed, it could be seen that it was about 18 inches long and it was then removed.
The sample was three feet under the surface. It took 30 to 40 minutes to retrieve. All captured on film, it was obvious that it was petrified section of a hand-hewn timber! Everyone was stunned, but most of all, Ron. For nearly 10 years, he wanted to excavate but had never been allowed to retrieve anything that was not on the surface. His dream had come true! Not only was it a section of a timber, but it was almost perfectly preserved, showing the wood grain and perfect symmetry. The Governor then did something that could only be directed by a Divine Hand - he told Ron to take it to the States and have it tested. The entire event was shown throughout Turkey on TRT (Turkish Radio and Television).
      The deck Timber Analysis.
When Ron brought the petrified deck timber home, he, as well as all who saw it, knew that it LOOKED like a piece of wood turned to stone (petrified). Only problem here is Noah's Ark wasn't shaped like a normal boat/ship.....
It was rectangular even the Bible describes it that way......

    • @ayishas4385
      @ayishas4385 Рік тому

The Bible just gives its length, breadth and height, like someone would for any normal boat. It's too bad that this curious new theory that it might have been rectangular went from a theory to being considered as true, when it's not in the Bible. Now, it COULD have been intended to be pictured as rectangular, I suppose, but that's human guessing and supposing, not scripture!
Genesis 6: 14 Make for thee an ark◦ of gopher wood; with◦ rooms* thou shalt make the ark◦, and shalt tar it inside and outside with tar◦.
15 And this is how thou shalt make it: three hundred cubits the length of the ark◦, fifty cubits its breadth, and thirty cubits its height◦.
16 A window thou shalt make to the ark◦, and to a cubit thou shalt complete it from above; and the entrance of the ark◦ thou shalt set in its side; with lowest◦, second, and third stories thou shalt make it.
If a person got told in church that it was rectangular, then I could see them interpreting the scripture that way, but if they read it on their own without being told how to imagine it, most people would picture a normal boat. It's only recently that a couple creationists popularised the idea, and now it appears to have entered general Christian lore as a fact, people always asserting that it's the case without actually quoting the relevant scripture.
I don't care whether you think it's rectangular, oval, eye- or almond-shaped. What I do care about is how scripture is represented, and there's just not even a suggestion about the particular shape of the ark, other than its largest dimensions in 3D space, and its three-level structure.

Metal detector tests taken numerous times over the years all reveal a very distinct organized pattern of metal beneath the surface, which is consistent with the shape of a large ship.
Four intact metal rods have been discovered by the Turkish government, each measuring about 4 ft. or 1.2 m. in length.
In June of 1991, an interesting object was discovered, which seems to be a large rivet with a washer around it. It was believed to fasten the large timbers of the Ark together. An analysis of the rivet object showed it was made of various metals such as titanium, aluminum, iron, and other metals. Interestingly, just centimeters away from the rivet object, there were no traces of iron in the soil.
Aluminum never occurs in the metallic form in nature. The Bible affirms the knowledge and use of iron:
"Zillah also bore Tubal-cain; he was the forger of all instruments of bronze and iron." -Genesis 4:22
Meaning Noah definitely had access to iron while building the Ark.
During a radar demonstration, the scan showed what appeared to be a block. A Turkish governor ordered a soldier to dig where the block was, and a petrified piece of wood was uncovered. Thin sections have been cut from this deck timber for microscopic examination, It was later revealed to be organic in nature and appeared to be four layers of wood laminated together. This is believed by some to be part of a deck timber. Even more surprising were laboratory analyses which not only revealed that the petrified wood contained carbon proving it was once wood, but there were iron nails embedded in the wood! The Turkish government also claims they have found additional petrified wood at the site.
Researcher Andrew Jones and lead scientist Dr. Fethi Ahmet Yüksel of the Department of Geophysical Engineering, along with Applied Geophysics Department of Istanbul University, believe that the results of scans indicate a man-made artifact beneath the surface that could well be the Ark, and are eager to continue studying the location. The team believes that the new GPR data shows parallel lines and angular structures 8 to 20 feet down and that these parallel lines and right angles below the surface are something you would not expect to see in a natural, geologic formation.

Maybe, but to be fair the area was only written to have been under water once and that was during the world wide flood. Finding any boat on that specific mountain would be singularly unique to Noah's arc.

    • @ayishas4385

Just to be clear, Genesis 8:4 says that the ark rested "on the mountains of Ararat." Ararat was the name of the region in Biblical times. During the Middle Ages, the volcano now known as "Mount Ararat" came to be associated with the Noah story -- understandable, since it's the tallest and most magnificent in the region, but it wasn't previously associated with the story, from what I can tell. The site in this video is about 20 miles from the current Mount Ararat, which is why many creationists don't like it -- they're pretty attached to current Mount Ararat being the true site, though there's nothing to suggest that it was considered Mount Ararat at the time the flood story was written down, or when it was included at the beginning of Genesis. And then there's the fact that the Hebrew says "mountains" instead of "mountain."

    • @ayishas4385

What scripture gives is merely its length, breadth, and height, like you'd do for any boat. If I said that the USS Constitution was a certain length, breadth, and height, you wouldn't say, "Ah, so it was rectangular!"
The idea of it being a rectangular prism got popularized among a few creationists who are very adamant about it (perhaps because it's really important to them that as many animals as possible could've been housed in it), and I don't mind if they posit it as a guess or theory, but when they claim that scripture says it, I have to object.
I checked 6 translations, and they all concur on the dimensions. Here's one that's particularly close to the Hebrew: Gen 6: 14 Make for thee an ark◦ of gopher wood; with◦ rooms thou shalt make the ark◦, and shalt tar it inside and outside with tar◦.
15 And this is how thou shalt make it: three hundred cubits the length of the ark◦, fifty cubits its breadth, and thirty cubits its height◦.
16 A window thou shalt make to the ark◦, and to▵ a cubit thou shalt complete it from above; and the entrance of the ark◦ thou shalt set in its side; with lowest◦, second, and third stories thou shalt make it.
If someone told you before you ever read the Genesis account yourself, "It's a rectangular ship," I can see how you might read it pre-disposed to picture these dimensions as forming a rectangular prism, like you might do in math class in elementary school. But if you read it without already being told to picture it as rectangular, you'd do what almost everybody in the last several thousand years has done, prior to the last two or three decades when this pet theory came to be, and assume it's shaped like a normal boat -- e.g., eye- or almond-shaped.
Now, it's possible that the writer of the beginning of Genesis wanted you to picture a rectangular-ish boat - who am I to say not? I don't know! - but it's a weird reading of the dimensions, like if someone told you the dimensions of a basketball and you drew it as a box instead of as a globe.

@@ayishas4385 I agree with your idea that there is much detail left out in scripture and some of that detail cannot be explained in mere words, but must be either drawn out as well, or seen and memorized. Take the construction of the tabernacle, the menorah, The ark of the covenant, The altar of incense, the table for showbread, the courtyard altar, the curtains, the cherubim on the covering of the ark, etc., none of these could have been made correctly from just reading the Scriptural account. Moses saw them on the mountain in the Heavenly realm.

The "anchor stone" at Kazan is a fine-grained (0.001-1.0 mm) porphyritic volcanic rock in which phenocrysts (0.2-1.0 mm) consist of about 6% ilmenitic magnetite (a titanium and iron oxide containing some manganese) and about 29% plagioclase (andesine-labradorite). The very fine-grained ground mass (about 65%) contains plagioclase and ilmenitic magnetite, but with large amounts of ilmenitic magnetite than occurs as phenocrysts. The composition of this anchor stone is unusual because it lacks magnesium-rich minerals such as pyroxenes and olivine. All rock samples from the structure are pyroxene-bearing andesite or basalt partly altered to serpentine. Local calcite veins (3-5 mm wide) cut across the rock. Ilmenitic magnetite is a common accessory.
The supposed "iron bracket" is composed of granules of limonite, some of which have sizes and shapes that match those of ilmenitic magnetite crystals in the andesite of the Ark, the anchor stone, and nearby peridotite. These granules are enclosed in a matrix of calcite, clay, quartz, and fragments of anthophyllite. Many limonite granules exhibit rhythmic concretionary layers. Rare veins of pyrolusite (MnO2) locally cut the limonite.

Only one problem, in the drone footage you can see several other structures that resemble the “ark” but are smaller. What are those suppose to be? And how about the very obvious rock structures that look almost identical to the supposed beams of the ark? It is human nature to see certain objects in rocks/rock formations. Native Americans would see many different animals in the sides of mountains or on the edge of cliffs. I have a rock that looks almost exactly like a frog, but I know it wasn’t a frog at one point. And it isn’t limited to rocks, people see famous people in potato chips and even Jesus in burnt toast. The phenomenon is called Pareidolia, and our brains are just wired to see familiar items in random stimuli. This is simply a rock formation that appears slightly like a boat, or a better way of saying it, this is a boat shaped rock formation. I believe in God, but I don’t believe this the ark

There is no doubt in my mind that this is, in fact, the real Noah's Ark. The overall shape of it and the fact that the colors and deposits are so strikeing against the natural layout of the surrounding landscape that this is enough alone to support my belief.

You must not have any knowledge or education in geology, because this is a natural geologic feature.

The audio was taken from an older video and in that video Ron hiked to the area he started narrating so he was out of breath when he started talking.

Thanks for the video, which I enjoyed. I'd only ever seen still photos of this site before.
However, watching the video has reinforced my original suspicions that this is not the remains of a boat at all - just a naturally occurring rock formation.

Sooooo, the dynamite thing seems a little crazy..
But given the historical weight of such a phenomenal find it's just baffling why a mini excavator hasn't been hauled up there and start gently digging around until zero doubt remains as to whether it's a boat or not🤷🤷🤷
Paleontologist spend their life scratching around for a few bones, how is it possible this doesn't peak more interest?🤔

it has occurred to me that the ark was dismantled and the material used to build homes for the four families on board. It would have taken years for new forest to grow...maybe they used it for fire wood as well...just saying...

    • @LutherBuilds

I agree. They would have been more advanced in years and had the wisdom to use the wood from the ark to build and use for energy. It would be a waste to let all that wood just sit there. If Noah and his family didn't use it, surely someone else would have. I'm a believer, but I don't believe there is any evidence of any of the ark that still exists. It would have only taken a couple of generations for the wood to be all used up. I believe Answers in Genesis or Institute for Creation Research has articles that talk about this on their websites. As Christians, we really want people to find pieces of the ark so that it provides evidence for our faith but if we never do, it doesn't make our faith less valid or true.

When Ron brought the petrified deck timber home, he, as well as all who saw it, knew that it LOOKED like a piece of wood turned to stone (petrified). However, looks CAN be deceiving, so on Sept.16, 1987, he took the section of petrified wood that had been dug up on June 20th , to Galbraith Labs in Knoxville TN. Ron videotaped everything they did, including taking the sample from the specimen, and actual execution of the analysis. The important thing to determine was if the specimen contained organic carbon. A rock doesn’t, but petrified wood does!
      The test results:
The result was that it contained .71% total carbon. Inorganic carbon totalled 0.0081%. It contained .7019% ORGANIC CARBON - almost 100 times more organic than inorganic."

    • @ErikStone1
      @ErikStone1 Рік тому

@@blusheep2 that’s odd that they wouldn’t allow it. I mean, even Muslims believe in Noah’s ark. The Quran calls him “Nuh” instead of Noah, but Sura 11 talks about the same ark and great flood. I would think they’d be interested in this site too, but who knows…

    • @blusheep2
      @blusheep2 Рік тому +1

@@ErikStone1 Actually, this was originally the site Muslims claimed was the resting place of the ark. They were saying this while Christians were claiming it had been found on Mt. Arat by someone else.
Muslims have a history of restricting studies that may prove them wrong in the long run. That being said, I don't know if they have definitely done so here. There may have been numerous studies allowed here but when the scientists arrived they realized right away that there isn't anything to find.
