Hi, Elizabeth. I know there have been some folks commenting on what happened fairly recently. Would you mind seeing if there is another performance of Patricia’s you would like to react to? I’m just one of many fans, so it’s no obligation; it would just be lovely to see some light continue to shine following her passing. Love you and your work! Keep doing what you do 💖
I just heard her singing "Měsíčku na nebi hlubokém" (from Dvorak's "Rusalka") during a concert in Berlin, Britzer Garten) and it brought me to tears. The recording is really poor quality, someone in the audience videotaped it, but her rendition, her voice, is just incredible
the grace, talent and elegance personified! She is like the Goddess of love who came down into the world to sing and delight us in addition to with her art, with her extraordinary beauty, ...we love to Patricia!
I had never heard of Patricia Janeckova until very early, this Sunday morning , when I accidentally found her on UA-cam - was absolutely captivated by her rich , sumptuous soprano voice - and then was devastated to learn she had tragically succumbed to cancer last year at the very early age of 25 . There was only one full audio recording I could find ( to purchase) , which was made when she was still in her teens , and the rest of her ( later , post - teenage years’ ) oeuvre seemed to mainly comprise video recordings created by/for her , posted on UA-cam . I was overjoyed at the discovery of this young , gifted soprano , but am so saddened and depressed that her life ( which could have fully blossomed into a burnished operatic career ) was so brutally truncated by cancer . Life can be so cruel and unforgiving …..
I discovered her several years ago and was looking forward to seeing her maturing and taking on the world but my life was so busy I didn't do regular searches for her new recordings, I guess I assumed there will be giant posters advertising her concerts everywhere soon and I will be reminded that way, then last night I had some time before going to bed and I thought I'd do a search for her and that's how I learned she's passed away last October. Just tragic, such a voice and such a talent gone. It really depressed me and even though I have tons of stuff to do, I'm just browsing YT now looking for her recordings. If you haven't heard her sing "Měsíčku na nebi hlubokém" in the concert in Berlin in Britzer Garten (sometimes in the second half of the crappy vid recorded by an audience member, maybe next to the last piece), look it up (put her name there and Berlin and the place). I couldn't contain my tears hearing her rendition. I will be looking for other recordings of it by her, too
I, too, love this performance; not only for Ms. Janečková's impressive vocal capability at such a young age, but for the sense of humor in the production. I'm glad Elizabeth will be reacting to this, as I don't think Ms. Janečková started out doing opera?
@@TheCharismaticVoice please react to "Yuri" by singing "the sad one". Yuri is considered the best singer in Latin America by the music industry. httpss: //ua-cam.com/video/Qm4ifGeR6e8/v-deo.html
It is nice to finally find an American who appreciates Patricia like I have come to appreciate her music and her acting ability over the last nine to ten months. Before that time I had never listened to opera by anyone, but after hearing some of her performances when she was young, I began to appreciate her opera and especially when it was penned by Mozart or in a duet. You should review some of Patricia's portfolio, including things she has done recently since the pandemic is coming to an end. I think she is becoming one of opera's top world stars.
I have listened to at least five videos of other sopranos singing their version of "Song to the Moon." Some of them are among the best female opera singers according to rankings I found on the internet. All of the versions were very good, but in my opinion none of them were quite the qualitative level of Patricia's version of the same song. E. Zharoff should do something similar and make a video of her conclusions! A compare and contrast video.
@@NosserJJN2 There is a UA-cam channel called "Mister Golightly" who has some "who sang it best" videos. Not sure about "Song to the Moon" but it is fun to listen to various versions of the same songs.
@@cuivre2004 What gave me the idea to compare various singers was when UA-cam suggested to me other videos of the same song. So I did a search for videos featuring "Song to the Moon". I then selected five or six where the singers seemed near the top of their field. I agree it is fun listening to other versions and comparing them. Thanks for suggesting the channel Mister Golightly. I think I will continue doing such comparisons.
Patricia is one of my Favorite singers and I have recommended this to many reaction content creators you are the first I have seen use it. She is complete perfection I Showed this to the kids they thought she was a real Doll. Like Button Has Been Illuminated.
Another piece that would be fun to hear your reaction to is Patricia's performance of Fruhlenstimmen. I would love to see that when you do another opera reaction. Thank you, Elizabeth.
As an opera lover, I really appreciated you reviewing this young opera singer. With young and unknown singers, my untrained ears cannot always discern great talents. Your professional opinions give me confidence to enjoy this young lady's performances from now on.That makes me think, I wish you could use this channel to discover and promote young and unknown talents in the classical singing/ opera world.
The performance is entertaining and beautiful. Thanks for your interesting, perceptive analysis; it helps those of us in your audience who have less musical training more fully appreciate the performance.
Very cool. When I saw your tease for this yesterday I went ahead and checked it out (impatient dude I am), then about 4 other versions! You're right it is a crowd pleaser, very addictive. Bring on the opera reactions!
Makes me miss my mama. Listening to this, I kept looking at the dress, which was like something my mama made for my daughter when she was a little girl. Add the beautiful aria, and I'm suddenly thinking with my eyes full.
Really appreciate the breaking down of her voice and so incredible Patricia is. Nice to hear from an expert who is also very beautiful. Let's all pray for Patricia's recovery from breast cancer asap. God bless.
I have this performance in my playlist for a few years now so when I saw you reacted to it I had to see it immediately. Love your insights as I don't listen to opera very much and I'm not that knowledgeable. I always loved her tonal quality and the cheekiness of the whole performance. And even for a noob like me it was very clear the difficulty is off the scale compared to most music I come in contact with. I love the little details, the cheeky way she looks around, the eye-contact she makes with one of the orchestra at 7:37 and of course her singing. I enjoyed it very much.
Patricia is one of my favourites. Just so sorry to hear of her illness at the time of me writing this. Thank you for your analysis. I really enjoyed that. First time I came across your channel but will really watch it again. God bless.
Hi Elizabeth, Thank You for Your Choice video reaction! I LOVED this performance and I LOVED your Reaction & Analysis! I think Patricia's performance as, "a living doll," was just Amazing! She had an incredible stage presence (along w/ spectacular body control/movements) and her voice was Beautiful! I LOVED the way she runs-down and needs to be wound-up (like a wind-up toy doll) before she can continue with the performance! And I Love the reference to, "Ex Machina." Thank You, Elizabeth, for putting a Smile on my Face Today!!! You're the BEST!!!! :-)
Elizabeth, I just found out minutes ago that Patricia Janeckova had passed away from breast cancer on 7/10/23. I haven't cried like I just did in a long, long time. She was 25! She was a living Angel and her voice gave her away. I have no doubt you knew about what happened and I thought perhaps it would be a good idea to offer some kind of a tribute to her going back to her appearance on that Talent Show. So sad. So sad.
I very much enjoyed being introduced to Patricia Janeckova and your explanation as to what I was hearing. Incidentally, I was also impressed with the the strength of the man who was able to handle her like a “doll”! I will repeat my request for a reaction to Hayley Westenra singing I Dream A Dream at BBC Proms in the Park Belfast 2012. Thanks for adding your personal selection videos!
I sent this to a friend of mine who was feeling a bit down last year. Lifted her straight up. I've spent a few Christmases in various European capitals, and concerts like this one are always on. They mix straight music with some humour. This one is really nice.

That young lady is well on her road to absolute perfection.
Elisabeth-Sunshine, you can do such a Wednesday with opera singers, rarities or even curiosities more often ... I love it.
Thank you!!!!
@@TheCharismaticVoice please react to "Yuri" by singing "the sad one". Yuri is considered the best singer in Latin America by the music industry. httpss: //ua-cam.com/video/Qm4ifGeR6e8/v-deo.html
I love this idea!
Me three... please. I was just thinking, what do I suggest if we run out of QPop? Opera ... please,
Wow, I didn't know about this react! Fortunetly I found this.
And Patricia was 17 yo when sang that.
There are some out here in the US that have been a fan of Patka since her Talentmania breakout! I check in on her music frequently!
@@NosserJJN2 Patricia has a new version out on UA-cam and it is even better!
Rest in peace Patricia😢
Miss Janečková is recovering from cancer; prayers and thoughts for this remarkably talented person. Thanks again to Miss Zharoff for this review.
She left us few hours ago.... 😢💔
I stumbled across her sing Laudate Dominum a few years ago and I think she’s fantastic. Real star potential.
Yes, it is nice, especially in the late winter when spring is just around the corner.
Pekne ste uviedla Patríciu vďaka.
Speaking of charisma Patricia sure has some! :) So good!
I saw this long time ago, and I just fall in love with the performance
As an opera lover, I really appreciated you reviewing this young opera singer. With young and unknown singers, my untrained ears cannot always discern great talents. Your professional opinions give me confidence to enjoy this young lady's performances from now on.That makes me think, I wish you could use this channel to discover and promote young and unknown talents in the classical singing/ opera world.
Molto simpatica questa presentazione 🤗
The performance is entertaining and beautiful. Thanks for your interesting, perceptive analysis; it helps those of us in your audience who have less musical training more fully appreciate the performance.

R.I.P. Patricia 😪
Unfortunately we lost her to cancer two days ago , she was only 25
I would love to hear this doll aria singing by you Elizabeth Zharoff . Please post it ❤🙏
Very cool. When I saw your tease for this yesterday I went ahead and checked it out (impatient dude I am), then about 4 other versions! You're right it is a crowd pleaser, very addictive. Bring on the opera reactions!
Patricia died 3 days ago....rest in piece our angel
Makes me miss my mama. Listening to this, I kept looking at the dress, which was like something my mama made for my daughter when she was a little girl. Add the beautiful aria, and I'm suddenly thinking with my eyes full.
Patricia is brilliant. The real deal.
Thank you so much for your reaction to this funny and beautiful opera performance. It was a pleasure and by the way your hair looks stunning ❤
She was a diamond. Still can't get over her passing away. What a loss! 💔 Elizabeth, thank you so much for this reaction. 💙
DEFINITIVAMENTE PATRICIA JANECKOVA ES LA MEJOR SOPRANO DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS.
Patricia is one of my favourites. Just so sorry to hear of her illness at the time of me writing this. Thank you for your analysis. I really enjoyed that. First time I came across your channel but will really watch it again. God bless.
Yes, the staging of the performance of Les Charmilles is very good, I watched this video many times. Patricia deserves an international career !!
Another performance of this song by Maria Aleida at AVA opera always blows me away! Her staccato is super on point and she does go up to Ab 😁
This was soooo good! Her staccatos are insanely quick!
Love Maria Aleida as well!
There are no words to explain such a wonderful and extraordinary voice.
So sad. So sad.
Elizabeth, I am so sorry, it was 10/1/23 when she passed. Perhaps she was diagnosed with the illness 0n7/10.
@katja3152 I am American and we give the month first and then the day. So Patricia passed away on July 10, 2023.
Patricia died yesterday (1st October) due breast cancer 😢
I very much enjoyed being introduced to Patricia Janeckova and your explanation as to what I was hearing. Incidentally, I was also impressed with the the strength of the man who was able to handle her like a “doll”! I will repeat my request for a reaction to Hayley Westenra singing I Dream A Dream at BBC Proms in the Park Belfast 2012. Thanks for adding your personal selection videos!

@@TheCharismaticVoice Elizabeth, please react to Patricia again. This girl is so gifted.
I sent this to a friend of mine who was feeling a bit down last year. Lifted her straight up. I've spent a few Christmases in various European capitals, and concerts like this one are always on. They mix straight music with some humour. This one is really nice.
How can anybody dislike this video? Great song, great performance of Patricia Janečková and the comments and facial expressions of Elizabeth Zharoff.
Aaaaa, I love this performance. Nice surprise 👍I hope soon you will add that extra day as permanent one
Sad to say, Patricia is to the time not between us. She passed away today in 25 years old. 💔🥺
😪🙏♨️
May she rest peacefully 🙏🏼
Patricia the Gems of Gems died yesterday 25 year old
wonderful analysis thank you so much - just listened to Patricia doing Rusalka yesterday and it resonated so much - she is a charismatic star indeed
Just say Patricia is a genius ❤❤❤
