so there are no cctvs at the lounge or entrance of the lounge to identify which employee this women talked to. Other than bathroom and toilets CCTV should cover all areas inside the airport .Even it should be at the entrance of the washroom to know who went in and who went out . And the camera should be of good quality too. India really need to take the requirement of cctvs seriously. It can definitely discourage someone from committing the crime .In this woman's case they wouldn't have to ask her to identify the employee the airport can do it themselves .
Love how in these situations there is either a lack of cctv, or the footage is so grainy that it is practically useless, in an era where ultra hd cameras are priced as low as 1700 rupees.
The narration from the woman has numerous loopholes. If everyone is helping who is to blame?? I hope she remembers the lounge she visited, the lounge then can identify the employee on duty at the relevant time. But the woman doesn't seem to be interested in that!! Someone in comments suggested that she may have herself downloaded the wrong app!! I wonder if the credit card company would refund in that case as she aided the fraudsters.
@@debashishldr The authorities are clearly at fault for several reasons: 1.Inadequate CCTV Coverage: The person responsible for placing the cameras missed key areas, making it impossible to fully trace the woman’s movements from entry to exit at the airport. 2.Technology Gaps: With the availability of Aadhaar card data, facial recognition should have been simple. Additionally, modern technology like gait analysis could identify the perpetrator even if they changed their appearance. If the CCTV footage was clear, this should have been an easy task. 3.Employee Tracking: The airport has a limited number of lounges. It should be easy to get a list of employees working that day by checking scanned ID entries used to access restricted areas. Staff are regularly screened, and their data is logged daily, making identification straightforward. 4.Failure of Security: Airports are among the safest places due to their high-security measures, including armed personnel, security patrols, and CCTV coverage. The failure to identify the fraudulent employee in such a secure environment shows a significant lapse in responsibility. The authorities should not be absolved just because they started investigating. It’s their job to prevent incidents and find the perpetrator. Until they produce results, they deserve criticism for their failure.

These days, there’s a person in every corner with a cleverly designed scam. Every scam works the same way - they prey on your vulnerabilities or fears or excitement. In this case, her tiredness led to this. People in the comments should be ashamed of judging her and calling her stupid. If you cannot be helpful, then don’t be so judgy! Disgusting.
But her story isn't very convincing...In the first video, she clearly said it was the lounge staff that had her download the app .. and in the second video, she says she is now unable to identify that particular staff because she was tired that day and it was actually a friend of hers that sent her the link to download the app?? So why involve Bangalore Airport in this at all? This news has been circulating as if the staff at the Airport had scammed her.. Apparently, she herself might have downloaded a shady app or probably downloaded it from the link her friend sent, and even gave permissions for screen sharing and stuff...and then posted a video as though she was scammed at the Airport... Doesn't quite seem right...
Why did she say "because it was a credit card I am going to be okay"? What is the difference between fraud protection of credit cards and debits cards?
Not really an expert but I would guess that whereas in debit cards the money is transferred in realtime in credit cards the customer has to pay the amount at a later date. Also many credit cards come with fraud insurance or some other like it for exactly these type of cases. Which might mean that her bank may waive off this purchase if it is a genuine fault on side of the authorities. But in her case the amount was transferred to phonepe then I guess it must have been transferred by hawala channels to other countries for whitewashing by now. That money cannot be returned so someone has to take the loss in this case be it the bank, airport or the customer.
Because in credit card its banks money which they can recover but if it's debit card it from your personal savings account if fraud happens it will be difficult to recover
It’s the state of mind that is selectively targeted by fraudsters. Here, they know people in airport need urgent support as they would be single or/and helpless. To settle issues at earliest people fall prey to these fraudsters.
