My last stress test put me in the hospital, it is no joke! The techs took it way too casual as they would NOT stop when I was feeling dizzy with massive chest pain. Told them to stop but they pushed on for over a minute later. Then.... cardiac arrest! be careful.
If she is scrapping his skin, where are her gloves? Her hands are not sanitary. People in the health field are getting more and more away from understanding infection control and "transfer".
Very helpful, but surely she should be using her fingers to actually locate where the electrodes go rather than just rough guessing? I know we're always under time constraints but it seriously affects results, especially when exercise testing. Also there's no need to leave such red marks on his skin when abrasing. It's just unpleasant for the patient and not necessary.
This is an ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC instructional and educational video! Every time I teach stress testing to my nursing and allied health students, I show them this video. Great job!!!!
i am an athlete, and was diagnosed cardiac arrhythmia.. i've done this 4years ago when i was 19. i have no idea what really is stress test so when i saw it and then they explained it to me.. me and the doctors didnt even expect i got to the maximum.. lol..
What was his time? I am wondering as i take the same test every 2 years due to open heart surgery [a 4x bypass] in 2002, it's a tough test running at such a grade My VO2 max seems to be 51 and i am in the superior category for my age [56] when i am at the gym and on the treadmill i keep the angle high to simulate the test, i start at 10 and 1.7 and follow the protocol
Would two male techs be able to perform this test on a female patient? Double standards "alive & well" in American medicine.

I love how they're trying not to laugh, lmao

You're really supposed to be wearing gloves when handling a patient
