So funky........ beautiful drumming. Please keep them coming. "muscle shoals has got the swampers, & they've been known to pick a song or two." RIP Roger.
I don't know if there's enough clarity to transcribe any of these - they're pretty muddy sounding - but I'd love to hear you cover Earl Palmer's part on Professor Longhair's 1954 version of Tipitina, James Brown's drumming Limbo Jimbo (1962) and Marvin Gaye's drum parts for either of Stevie Wonder's hits from 1962: I Call It Pretty Music and/or Fingertips, Pt. 2. All those are the first recordings I've been able to find of various drum patterns that later went viral.
Well played. What a great setup as well, that snare sound is absolutely spot on too! I've just gotten hold of a 66' acrolite from Indiana! I'm looking forward to tuning it to get that absolutely great sound as you have in this video. 👌
Lovely feel ya got there. Keep em coming!
Thank you very much!
Dude- I love watching you play.
Thanks for watching!

One of my favorite examples of Hawkins’ killer drums. 10/10 as usual!
Thank you!
