Wouldn’t it be great to read that Mt Buller keeps raising the bar as a top MTB destination? Refreshing of trails is a good new story that was well told in this video, but the amount spent represents a drop in the ocean compared to what a ski lift costs, especially when it is stationary most of the year. They only have to look at places here and overseas to see how mountain biking is a boon to a diversity of businesses in the summer season. The relative certainty of summer mountain biking dollars has to be more attractive to operators and owners than the “hope we get good snowfalls this year” business plan of winter dollars. We can only hope they see the opportunity that is before them.
Great to see some work being done up at Buller. Trails were getting super tired. Though now it looks like it's just one big flow trail for the masses. The Michael Buble of bike trails. Could have at least left the original Gang Gangs jank in for a bit of variety.
You guys made this look really good havent been to buller since before covid and was majorly dissapionted rode everthing in a few hours . Looks like its still missing the one thing that would make it a real mtb destination and thats a tech steep up trail from merimbah to the top to make a real epic not this limp dik thing jacobs thinks is epic , ie up over timber top mtn up the west ridge to the summit. Will go have another look since this vid mtb ing is not about beer and big plates it has up hills no shuttles and fitt people what has happened ?🤔
What this video doesn't show you is the hours of terribly made climbing tracks, that you have to ride for you to get anywhere. Thredbo has 4 chairlifts going at once, with multiple runs down each one. Mt Buller has? From what I see, some old farts trying to polish the poo from their pants.
Blue Dirt do shuttles all season, no need to climb for the most fun trails. Delatite is one of the most amazing trails in Victoria outside of Cascades at Lake Mountain. The one thing it's really missing is more trails, there simply isn't enough decent gravity trails.
Would be awesome if the chairlifts could be used and open up Buller fully to its true potential,
Yep, that's why I choose Thredbo!

I'm hoping to do Delatite and Epic this season. But after re-doing Cascades at Lake Mountain.
