My goal for this year is to read for 18 minutes (at the moment, hopefully I’ll be at 30 minutes by December) every day to keep my iBooks streak going (866 days) and unofficially I’d like to read 100 books - I’m at 53 so far but I have had a few short reads this year
As far as thrillers you may find lifetime movie thrillers here on UA-cam that you like. The only thing is most of them are not the right title to the movie AND they are older.

Totally agree with your comments for Babel. To me it felt like a series in one book and it took me so long to read and I’m a fast reader
