A Costco hotdog is more than just a snack-it's a delicious reminder that the simplest things in life can bring the most comfort, no matter where you are. Thanks fellow Samurai Junjiro!
I'm a Costco member and visit Japan frequently. Thank you for posting the top 5 products at Costco Japan and E-Cost. I noticed E-Cost and thought it was a copycat. Thank you for sharing. By the way, other items I often shop at Costco Japan are olive oil and frozen shrimp. Costco Japan has very large frozen shrimp. Things I don't buy at Costco are frozen dim sum. They're consistently bad in Japan and the US.
Greetings! This is great! I wanted to go to Costco while in Japan but did not have the time. I would try the Shrimp cutlet sandwich - looks delicious! The ramen soup from the different Japanese region would be my pick up! - lol. The sushi variety looks great! I will definitely go next time.
Man this makes me wish we had a Costco were I live ahah. This is a very informative episode for people staying at arbnd and need to do shopping and Thier members
Glad to hear that! Thank you! There is a supermarket called OK in Ginza and Asakusa that's really cheap and has become quite popular lately. (It's a regular supermarket, so it's not membership-only.)There is a video about it, so check it out! 【Video】ua-cam.com/video/Oa0ZnQjgDoU/v-deo.html
I remember that when i was living in Canadá, my roomate and i had the habit to buy our groceries at Costco, it was amazing, and i loved their hot dogs. We don't Costco or Walmart in Brazil, the most popular supermarket chain in my country is Carrefour, and the most famous Brazilian supermarket chain is Extra.
Costco is popular in Japan, but since the quantities are large, many people freeze their items. For a party, having Costco’s food can be really convenient!
May I ask if we can sign up for a Costco memebership as a foreign tourist who doesn't have a Japanese address ? What documents do the Costco in Japan require for membership sign up ?
When signing up as a member, you'll need a Japanese address, so it might be difficult for international tourists to get a membership in Japan. However, if you already have a membership card, you can still visit the store :)

I wonder if costco japan has different pizza flavors either depending on date or store, when I went somewhere around spring, instead of that hawaiian pizza, it was margarita pizza, this is also very different then the US another difference is that the hotdogs in the foodcourt in japan use pork meat instead of beef meat (which wasnt popular in japan so they switched)
Hi!!! So of course we have Costco here in Dallas TX where I live but we also have Sam's Club, which is just like Costco but run by Walmart 😊 I go there alot for stuff but my mama in Japan goes to Costco all the time! I probably won't go while I'm on vacation in Japan, but watching this video... I wanna go just for all that great food! As always, arigatoo 😊❤
Hi, Yuki san :) I've never heard of Sam's Club before! We've been to Kmart in Guam and Walmart on the Big Island of Hawaii, and we were amazed at how much bigger they were compared to Japanese supermarkets! It's always fun to visit local supermarkets. Traveling abroad is tough these days, but I hope to go again someday. Thank you for watching our video!
I AND MY family from Cambodia visited japan on April, we visit Costco near tokyo. Unfortunately they didn't let us entered because we don't have membership card😅😅
We always visit Costcos around the world when we can, just to compare. We've been to Costco in Canada, South Korea, Taiwan as well as Japan. The United States food courts are not as good as the ones in Asia. We don't have Clam Chowders, Shrimp Burgers, Bulgogi Bakes or even Fried Chicken (which is in Taiwan). The prices are better in Asia due to the favorable exchange rates to the US dollar. We like to buy the snacks to bring home as gifts for friends and family. We pack a foldable duffle bags just for snacks! 😂
Wow! It's amazing that you've been to Costco in various countries! Is the hot dog the only thing you can eat at the food court in Costco in the US? :) Thank you for letting us know!
@@samurai_junjiro The hot dogs in the US is all beef while the hot dogs in Asia tends to be pork so the taste is different. Pizzas are the same except for the toppings. The US only offer 2 kinds of pizzas now which are only cheese or pepperoni. (It use to also offer a meat/vegetable topping). Costco in the US is trying different types of sandwiches recently like Turkey & cheese. Their Roast Beef was good but too expensive at $9.00.
I am going to bring back some chocolate bars. 🍫 The Costco in Los Angeles sells more or less the same items except the huge seafood chirashi. 😂🤤🤤😋 The prices are unbelievable. .
I went last year, the confusing thing is the USA Costco stores accept Visa but the Japanese ones accept MasterCard as said above. Cash is probably the way to go for most tourists.

@@ogimati5175 Hi, Ogi san! The food from Costco was delicious! But the portions were so large that it was a challenge for just 2 people to finish!😂😂😂
We do have sushi at the Costco in California but it's not as good as the ones in Japan!

HYE ROLLER looks amazing! I’ve always wanted to visit big super market like this! I didn’t know you need membership..
That was one of Costco's popular items and it was delicious! I wish it wasn't membership-only though... :(
The price of the marbled Wagyu is fantastic..
When I shop at Costco, I end up buying too much! haha

Is membership available to do directly at Costco, or must I do it in advance?
You can do it at the Costco membership counter, but it looks like you'll need a Japanese address if you're registering in Japan :)
Thanks for the info. but I don't have member card. It's not worth if I get a new member card just for 1 time shopping.
