Wow I am SO GLAD I watched this! My spouse and I have narrowed it down to 2 hotels and Eden Roc is one of them- but considering that cleanliness is critical to us- think I’ll pass.

😱🤮🤢 that’s disgusting, thks for sharing. The first thing I do in any hotel IS PULL BACK THE BEDING as soon as I walk through the door, pull off the comforter throw it in a closet and lysol spray the entire bed pull of pillow cases spray them because I bring my own pillow case and Snuggie or thin blanket.

Soiled sheets are a deal breaker considering they weren’t in a hurry to fix the problem.

Love the video. I have stayed at the Eden Roc a few times. Some great some not so great stays. What brings me back is the pools . I love having 4 medium size pools to choose from with the water fall poring down my back in the jacuzzis. What I didn't like were the prices for food and the people who work and visit are dull.... The hotel for you guys if you wanna be closer to south beach is Nautilus, the National. Both around 200.00 but they got you.

I had a similar experience with them! Make up on the headboard, dirty couches, hair in the shower, lied about valet cost, dirty sheets! They offered me a free suite upgrade with 20% off 🙄

It's a black owned bed and breakfast in a historic area. I've heard of it but don't know anyone who stayed there. Hope your next hotel stay is great!
Yup...its in Overtown - I've never stayed there and not sure if I will but we'll see. I do have an upcoming video on taking a private tour of Overtown...fascinating!

Sorry that you guys didn't like the hotel overall! There were some goods, but it looks like the negatives were more. OMGGG I hope you got fresh linens and/or just changed rooms... That's so crazy awful... SOILED SHEETS?!?! That's insane. If that were us, we would have just left. Parking sounds insane too!! We will never go there.

I watched only half of your vid and had to stop! The Eden Rock is a classic 1950's Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin kind of hotel. Stayed there 2 times in 2010 & 2018. As you pointed out we overlooked the age of the hotel, however cleanliness was the deal breaker. One of the first things we saw when we entered the room, was a particular white stain on the sofa (use your imagination). This was years ago and I am surprised that they still have the same problem.

I'm staying there next week in the legendary suite. I will be checking everything. This hotel is to expensive to have the filthy room like that. Ewww that linen almost made me 🤮

I say park in the lot next door - that's what we did (we valeted one night). The lot next door is $20 for 24 hrs and you can go in and out.
miami food is always good. you can even go to the cheapest mom and pop restaurant and the food is amazing. i hate miami beach though it is too chaotic.

You have no idea how much you guys have help me.. My husband are in Miami for 7 daya in we'recurrently at the Embassy Suite near the airport for the 1st 3 days in was planning on staying at Eden Roc for the last 2 days but after watching this video I think we'll pass.

I am so sorry I am so late responding back...the airbnb was at the Hyde in Hallandale Beach - I actually love the Hyde's products - the one in Midtown was VERY nice as well.
Shit....we just booked a four night stay there in Oct. Actually, Hotwire did. I put in for a 4.5 Star property for $136/nt and the Eden Roc is what we got.
Just inspect your room - pull off pillow cases and all. $136 a night, that's a pretty good deal. They have resort fees that they may tack on after you get there.
@@SittinginaTree Hotwire let me cancel, lol. The resort fee is fine ($40/day) but no way am I having them hold $300/day for incidentals. Some bad reviews online about people having a hard time getting those removed after they've checked out. I just don't want to mess with it.
That was the other thing I didn't speak about...because we booked through a 3rd party (my credit card rewards department) that is why they claimed they couldn't refund us and gave us hotel credits instead...smh they were hard to work with.

I say nahhh...we've stayed at enough beautiful and CLEAN properties to see how truly unacceptable this was.

Jay lives in Miami so this was a staycation of sorts. I'm in the DC area but yeah, we've been traveling all "pandemic" long. A lot of people didn't do much of anything during this past year and I just say to each his own.
