RePot: Oncidium sotoanum

Today we are going to repot a seedling Oncidium sotoanum into a wine glass. Now, this is going to eventually outgrow the wine glass....maybe by that time I can find a HUGE wine glass to put it in.

A lovely orchid. I have both parents of the twinkles sotoanum and cheirophorum. The soto is a vigorous grower .

Thank you, I wish I could find bigger plastic wine glasses. I still think it’ll look great in one but realise now that it’ll outgrow my wine glass. I should have looked it up. For now it’s potting up helps with shelf space

sotoanum isn't very small, definitely not an overly large plant, but still quite a bit larger than a Twinkle (sotoanum bulbs are 2-3 times the size of Twinkle).

Thanks Michael, I didn’t have time to look it up. Been super busy. I still think it would look great in a wineglass just to find a 3 ft tall one and plastic
