Yeah man! Short window to get it right!! September will be a month of beauty on that thing. Next season when you’re out you’ll have to take it for a mow!
Takes time and patience but I kind of give myself these 4 week turnaround deadlines. That was my mode this year, get a lawn cruising in the right direction in four weeks and keep it beautiful
I have that r & r rake and it’s the best on the market. I think. I’ve used the one everyone has on Amazon and I didn’t like the open c channel design. Also, I’m going to try out your ortho replacement.
I have zero experience with any others, but my main motivations was the other supplies from R and R that I got at once with free shipping. They have awesome golf products!
Lawn looks awesome buddy. Night and day in such a short time. That green will be epic. No excuses now for not finding the time to practice… a wedge range should be next😉
Thank you! Ive got a few angles of approach, once the drive is finished I’ll have a chipping mat that’s mobile and a short range one of turf close by for on boarding flop shots. I can’t wait to finish it.
The whole set up looks amazing. Would there be any advantage for sand to be put down after roto tilling my soil and adding some screened topsoil and then adding the sand to level it before installing my sod. Thought it would have a better level surface and also would let the new sod drain easier if it had a sand base. My concern would be will the roots tack down through the sand maybe ( 1/2" ) deep or would it struggle and possibly dry out before taking root. I was trying to avoid having to do a sand level after the grass was established. They don't sand level ball fields yet have sand base for drainage and they are very level.
You can totally do that. You’ll need to water a little extra at first to get through the first layer of sand. After that, easy. I would pack the crap out of it before install
While everyone else is distracted by drone footage.... Holy crap, you actually got a drone! Which one? I'm now waiting for Pete's response to that epic pun!
Just sand for the bent grass. The soil is down deep as well as gravel and then rock. The roots will go straight to the bottom and hold that whole thing in place.
@@Lawncology John, you did a soil reading for me months back, I emailed you and never heard back. On some video you said people were getting stuck in your spam box. How do I get ahold of you?
That upper lawn is looking awesome! Can't wait to see the green grow in.

Wow!…now that’s therapy!👏👏👏…Lawncology 👑👍☮️🏌️♂️
I got to give the Carolina Pete joke a good laugh that's pretty good
😁😁
The whole design of the new back yard is just beyond cool. Putting green out front of the "clubhouse" is next level stuff.
It was fun to design. I spent a lot of time on the flow
First Aussie 😁. John , it is going to look amazing when established. 😎👍👍
🏆
Yo mate what up?
Life finds a way.
Looking really good.!
Can’t wait to see the finished product!
Getting close buddy!
That is a great looking lawn! I know mine will never look that good, but you make me want to keep putting in the work!! You are inspiration!!

Exicting stuff! That green will be sweet! Your lawn looks 100% better since you first laid it down. Nice work!
Thanks Tony. It’s really doing well. You’ll see a couple vids coming up from two weeks ago where it doesn’t look great 😂
Epic video, some hints of Peter Mckinnion in there! Keep up the good work, the lawn looks great!
Thank you!
Man that's come a long way this year. It's looking fantastic. I can't wait to see the green come in. Well done my friend. 👊🏼
Thanks Nate! Feeling good about it. I have completely neglected the front of the property this year, I have some serious weeds to spray.

Works very well. I’ll do a video calibration on it and get that out
It's better than the Ryan knorr rake
It’s awesome, will look 🔥🔥 when that green is complete
I can’t wait. Hoping I can take the fence down by my kids birthday in a week or so
Looks good!
So awesome! Great work!
Can’t wait to be invited to the first mini putput contest when it opens
The Lawncology Open
Ah yes I see you went with the superior leveling rake 😉

I was thinking about using a tamper on my leveling job as well.
I’ve been packing and bedding this seed a lot.
Is Rick The Roller going to make a cameo?
Not this time 😜

Your lawn recovered nicely 👌🏽 🔥
I bet carolina Pete would be a great top dress fertilizer... I agree he probably wouldn't like it tho. Haha
Haha
Excited to see more vids on the putting green - any chance of doing any vids in the future detailing polymer application etc?
Yes. There is so much footage to this point, I just have to get through it all.
While everyone else is distracted by drone footage.... Holy crap, you actually got a drone! Which one? I'm now waiting for Pete's response to that epic pun!
Haha! That an old Karma I picked up last year. I love the GoPro footage.
Me too! Love Pete. Wanna see how this plays out. Could be epic.
Dakota Pete, sounds like a lesser known outlaw cowboy name.
Lol
What grass seed did you use in your backyard?
Sand/peat moss - 90/10, is that by volume or weight?
Weight. It’s a lot of peat
John, I need your help on project in S jordan, need someone with Harley Rake to start clean, new 1ac project.
That sounds fun. I don’t know if anyone off hand with one, Shoot me an email.
Is there a big difference between rpr and “regular” perennial ryegrass for home lawns?
Barenbrug touts the RPR as lower maintenance faster recovering
Wait, so you're planting the grass basically into sand with peatmoss on top? I thought you needed seed to SOIL contact. Grass will grow in pure sand?
Just sand for the bent grass. The soil is down deep as well as gravel and then rock. The roots will go straight to the bottom and hold that whole thing in place.

Why do we care who is first? Are we 2 years old?
It shows that person is an enthusiastic fan of the channel.
@@wayneessar7489 no it doesn't. All you need to do is just comment. Seeing what I assume are adult males fighting over who's first is pathetic.
