Brilliant Mauro. Super memories from a great era of motocross in which the tracks were proper not like the jump infested one line tracks of modern day.

Most of the riders back then were in incredible physical fitness. The newer riders of today (some as well); but I’d bet that you are exactly correct! It’d be a huge learning curve for the riders of today, having to ride/race those tracks back then & use the wild power of the old big-bore 2-strokes.

bellissimo video, come sempre.

Honda didn’t want his Dad Keith to be his mechanic despite him helping Dave to win 3 500cc World Championships. So Dave went to Kawasaki as they said he can keep Keith as his mechanic there. A man of conviction, despite it never really working out. 👏🙏
I never could understand why those idiots at KTM kept putting the kickstarter on the left side of their open class bikes. Everyone hates starting their bikes on the left side. Dumb assess!!.
That was in 1989. In this race he had a horrific crash which I think he was very fortunate not to have come off much worst and I suspect was the beginning of his international professional career. Jeff said if he no longer enjoyed racing, he'd walk away. In the 1990 series Leisk did win a GP, France I think, but he to overcome a broken thumb and some injuries and he finished 10th by seasons end. Jeff did sign off on a good note winning the 500cc class at the 1990 Motocross des Nations in Sweden. He had a couple of years off and returned to racing in Australia like the Thumper Nats and VMX meets as well as Sprint Cars. My favourite Australian motocross rider. Maybe my favourite rider.

Why did Thorpe trade his Honda for a kawasaki?. Can somebody give me the answer?.

quando rombavano i motori!!!
Isn’t this where Leisk ran out of fuel whilst leading?
i think it was Kurt Nicoll
Yes with Jacky Martens #5.
Jeff Leisk ran out of fuel while leading in 1989.
@@maurovalentinuzzi No, it's was absolutely Jacky Martens 🙂
He was riding his factory RC500 as if it were an 125
Tanta roba
