Sam Sunderland proves how gnarly the desert racers are, straight into pretty high level mx on an unfamiliar two stroke and solid results. Not met him but seems like a top bloke too.
Fantastic video mate 👍👍I saw Dave Thorpe and Georges Jobe racing there in the 80's. I'm trying to remember the exact year. I remember Thorpe riding like the wind and Jobe had a fluorescent pink mx helmet...anyone know the exact year ?! I drove there on my new DT125R with an offroad Dep exhaust on it !! Happy days indeed. Many thanks for uploading this video, it made my day 😀😀😀
The DT125R came out in 87, but not really started to come into the UK until 88-89, and if it had a working power valve then 93, If it wasn't a full power modal. I can remember doing the same on my brand new DT125R in 1999, what amazing fun we had! I just add, I fitted a full Dep system too :)
Hello I hope your fit and well I'm just going over your old videos and leveling likes and thumbs up 👍 to all iv watched Can I ask where the track is you on I'm in south Yorkshire and iv been out off Motocross riding for a while and wanted to go back into it slowly so a quiet track would be ideal I hope you had a very merry Christmas and have a happy new year 🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆👍👍👍👍
where are the jumps? Whoops? Table tops? It's a wide dirt path in a field and a lumpy hill through the forest- i wouldn't call that a track. Bikes sound good though
This is more classic style of Mx track before bike suspension could handle big jumps (like when people took old duel shocks on the rear suspension set up, to just spring forks. Proper old school motocross). Like before the 80s. Motocross as we know it today is more American then before big jumps big tracks just completely different from before. Looks at crusty demons of dirt they shaped the way motocross is today especially the freestyle scene.
Great race!!
The track looked great as well. Old school mx at its best.

Would have been 89 when Jobe had that gear I think
@@djhowse That would fit in with Yamaha first selling the DTR in the UK.
Handy branch camera wipe @2:15.
@8:32 Oof, bit ambitious there!

Is this track from 1975?
👍👍👍🦊
This race track looks firmilar.
its the very iconic Farleigh Castle, home of some of the best 2 stroke GP's back in the 80's

Its an old track. like in the old days where they used to ride tracks like these through fields
Nice but can you please stop with the music
The rocks ouch...the rocks
MX course?....hardly.. a dirt road with a few elevation changes....
