I saw Damon at the '88 Toronto Supercross. He was only 15 and not even old enough to get a pro licence in the U.S. But he was already at the factory level at that age. The Canadian track was nowhere as difficult as a U.S. track as they also had monster trucks and off road buggies on the same track. He won the main. Made me buy my first mx bike an get involved in racing.
125 and 250 FIM MX world champion, 250 and 500 AMA MX champion, 250 AMA SX champion by the age of 22! Then straight to 500cc FIM Grand Prix world champion series... Any questions?!

I remember Mike from back in the mini days. It was Larry Brooks, Bobby Moore, Paul Denis, Bruce Bunch and there was many more from back then. But Mike was always sharp in his all white riding gear (I think it was answer riding gear) when he rode for Honda. He was fast as a bullet. May you have well groomed tracks, blue skies and good gate picks. R.I.P. GUNNER

tra il 1986 e il 1989 è stato considerato il + forte pilota al mondo, un infortuno al polso quando era ampiamente in testa al supercross '89 gli chiuse di fatto la carriera
