Solo Flawless Zero Hour Exotic Mission (First Completion / New Version) [Destiny 2]

- Destiny 2 Season of the Wish - Solo Flawless Zero Hour Exotic Mission & Outbreak Perfected Exotic Pattern Reward / Solo Flawless Revamped Zero Hour Exotic Mission / Triumphant Outbreak, Nimble Zero Hour, Flawless Zero Hour & Zero Help triumphs. Just a quick video showing my first completion of the updated Zero Hour exotic mission, that returned with Into the Light today.
My first full playthrough of the updated Zero Hour mission. I did one run up to the boss fight and had wipes due to needing to figure out the burning puzzle, and this was the following run. I went with Hunter this time around to mix it up a little bit, although the same loadout on all 3 classes will probably work just as well. This is just for the first runs to show a simple way to get it done without much issue, so obviously there will be much faster ways to do it.
The changes to the boss are neat, unexpected for it to come back as a Brig in the final phase. The rest of the area is more or less the same, other than some extra enemies during the traversal sections. The pathing for Trevor is the same as always, so the old method to avoid it works quite well. No idea why I didn't get the solo flawess triumph either... but it somehow got the flawless zero hour triumph in the same run. Might be bugged for now or something.
I'll do the same approach as I did for The Whisper release. I'll do a legend clear next, followed by any collectibles and secrets the mission may contain. After that I'll do the Archie location quest. Tomorrow I'll have a Pantheon clear up most likely.

Exploded shanks in the fan part is just straight up diabolical 😅. Also the floor puzzle I hoped would stay gone
I tried running in a straight line over that floor. If I remember rightly, last time Zero Hour was here, there was 3 different floor patterns every week wether it was Arc, Void or Solar 😅

There is an outline drawn map on the wall with two points (begin and end) in one of the subrooms before the floor puzzle room to guide you through the floor puzzle.
I won't lie, I'm devastated that zero hour and FS will drop during my exams and all I can do is watch you and others playing destiny. It feels like that one SpongeBob meme with squidward looking at SpongeBob and Patrick through his window

DONT WATCH ANY OF IT! it’ll be there when you finish exams, no matter how late you play it’ll all still be here and it’ll hit so much harder if you don’t spoil yourself for any of it

Zero Hour is bugged by the way. The enemies are the exact same lightlevel in legend. Normal Zero Hour also does not state that the enemies are a few light levels above you. Sooo you basically just solod Legend Zero Hour lmao

Yes since any version you do they are above your light level on zero hour.
As someone who only just completed normal zero hour, it is bugged; only legend level enemies spawn, confirmed it with a friend who was 1819 boosted light and they were double swords, while mine were single swords.

I hate that the enemies in the final boss room don't despawn when the boss dies. For every other exotic mission in the game, killing the final boss ends the mission, so this is infuriating.
The update delay was caused by the Zero Hour boss getting nervous that Esoterickk was coming over after the patch. 😅
The double ding for Fixed Odds is a nice little bookend for the mission
Man, you make this look so easy. I just attempted it and I lost a good bit of time in the saw maze. I managed to get to the 'Vanguard Vault', but I ran out of time.

This quest is bugged for anybody trying to do solo flawless. Not only is there an instant kill bug, but if you manage to survive like he did, you still don’t get the solo flawless triumph as proof in his video. You can see him get hit by the random bug at 15:49 and no, it’s not the missiles that the boss fires.
Only two things that would make this mission better would be an updated Mithrax model (to match the House Salvation models and brigs being added) and a better ship. It’s so good.

i'm always amazed how players never die and only barely get scratched by enemy fire. i only played easy missions and one or two hits are enough toget me down to Red and like 10% HP left (yes, 100 resilience). nobody ever could explain how i can fix that :(

Damn Eso is so good. My team kept dying at the Brig and snipers. I had to use riskrunner, arc resist + 2x sniper resist and a blinding nade launcher for a normal exotic mission.
They seem to hit way too hard for a normal mission.
Basically I blind the mobs, or take a few the arc hits then i blind the mobs in return while the team stay back to kill them with Thunderlord and Polaris.
Edit: 15:49 I was right, that hits way too hard for a normal reason.
I will gladly admit I suck at the game but the enemies are hitting like if they were a gm or something. I tried banner of war and at x4 with 100 resilience and triple arc resistance they still chewed through it like nothing and idk if the enemies power is higher on normal but I was 1830. I made it to the final boss but in his brig form sometimes I would immediately die to the beacons not even the missile just the beacon fire. And not like oh I burned out, no I legit just fall over sometimes

Legend as a different path. Most areas are the same, but legend makes you go a different way. The grade is only open on normal unless they changed it from the original.

Normally you'd have one of the teammates stay up top and tell the other two where its going. There's a computer and a map in a room.

For some reason in the Covert Passage section there's just a metal grate blocking the way forward, not sure if this is deliberate or if there is a fix to this...
the paths are different on normal and legend, for normal you can go under the ship but on legend you need go to the right and into the shaft closest to the far wall in front of you
Isn't there like another path or something? I remember scaling the outside and being frustrated, not a smooth fall. Was there a different path for the catalyst or something?
No you use to start in the woods jumping up a dame into the city. It looks like they removed that part and just put you in the city at start.

I just did a solo flawless of Zero Hour and it just gave me "Flawless Zero Hour" and "Zero Help" but NOT "Zero Deaths"

@@insomniac-afk I was mostly joking, but yeah as a guy who wasn’t around for Shadowkeep ( did it on my Hunter like a year ago for Assassins Cowl) I never would’ve figured out how to get to Crota’s Temple.
Luckily Profane put out a quick guide, then I was able to run it on the next characters in like 6 minutes each.

The mission is bugged I just have finished solo flawless, and it just gave me the solo and flawless triumphs, but it didn't drop me the solo flawless triumph. I just came here to see if it just was my bad luck, but it seems that The Guardian (Estoterikk) didn't notice that he didn't get the solo flawless triump either, he just got the other 2.
wait, how's he getting ignitions on the shanks in the opening section? I thought the artifact mod only made ignitions on precision kills and the little shanks don't have crits.
An artifact mod makes targets burn with Scorch if you use Solar weapons while Radiant, and his Fixed Odds has Incandescent which spreads Scorch around the target you just killed. Most likely this pushes the Scorch stacks over 100 on one enemy, causing an Ignition.
@@auspex42 thanks, forgot about that mod. I knew he had incandescent on his LMG (pretty sure that's the same craft mine is) but with that artifact mod and the frags he's got, it makes sense.

The missions returning is cool and all but without the quest or for whisper the whole heroic event thing, the way builds have developed since that time, and just how much more forgiving they are with the timer the achievement feels so much less... cool? if that makes sense, random complaint to put here but nice run nevertheless
in normal when you are in the room with the big vault door in the 6 little rooms on the wall there's a map of the path to take to avoid the wrong tiles

Weird choice to have -15 enemies for normal in ZH but 0 power in Whisper they should do that for whisper too
I think it's bugged since -15 power is usually a legend thing, but I haven't tried legend yet so idk
