Why do people always say these kind of things?
It makes NO SENSE. If Matthew got the roll.. Leo might be the one in this interview and you would be saying the SAME THING in reverse.
Rob's always mentioning different movies he likes in his interviews. Is there a list / show notes somewhere with these?. I'm always driving when I listen and can't jot them down to find them later.
As much as I love Billy Zane, and he did a fantastic job, Rob would have made an EXCELLENT Cal! And the age difference there would have been an interesting choice 🤔

Titanic made Leo famous. Wild movie really blew me away. I really loved the historical backdrop and stories related to history was awesome. I’m a history vintage relics collectibles nut. The titanic seemed very haunted and eery. The music was awesome added to the mystery and eery feel. Many stories about evil greedy millionaires wrecking titanic on purpose and not enough lifeboats is like unsolved mysteries. Need an unsolved mysteries related to the titanic stories.
Leo was already famous before Titanic.. It's the very reason James Cameron went out of his way to get him. What's eating gilbert grape won him his first Academy Awards at 19 years old. And 'The Quick and the Dead' starred several celebrities.
Titanic only helped advance his career because he now had showed the studios he could make a lot of money for them as a leading actor.

I think Matthew would have been perfectly fine as Jack. The character was pretty one-dimensional to be honest. Kate's character was more substantive.
